It is really nice to see people who has the eye and the experience tries and shows recipes. I never tried Fujifilm and you changed my view on the recipes. I really want to try fujifilm. Fujifilm should make you their ambassador.
Cheers! It was an idea I had in my head that escalated quickly to custom icon designs and then a little animation haha! It's also super easy to update and amend for future videos too.
Always happy to see new content mate! Sometimes I’m using my XT4 for quick JPGs and I was playing with some settings during my summer vacation in Spain. (Btw you were the reason why I bought my xt4) :D Now I have a really good recipe with typical fuji colors and beautiful summer feeling. The process to get there is so much fun! Still envious that you are living in Japan and creating stuff! 🤣 won’t change! Haha but flex as much as you can! I totally agree on the light. It’s just perfect in Japan! Keep it up can’t wait for the desk setup! Cheers.
Great video as usual Joe! Fully agree that the command dial direction feels like the opposite of what it is supposed to be, and I’ve been using Fujis for years now. I understand their reasoning for using +1 as “more shadows”, but it just goes against literally every editing software I’m aware of…
Very informative , however, living in Australia and doing most of my photography in outback I need to capture strong vibrant colours of red and blue so I actually use std mode mostly, it just works for me.
Your video footage is super crispy and clean. Well done! How are you filming? Are you shooting manual? Auto with eye auto off? I notice you manage to get no focus shifting and it looks rock solid! Cheers!
Cheers! This is X-H2S with Eye AF on, and I use manual shutter speed 1/60, manual aperture (depending on scene) and auto iso. I honestly don’t understand all the negativity around Fuji AF lately, it’s been getting better and better for me with every update. I keep my settings to slow transition and high locked on sensitivity (can’t remember naming specifically)
@@joeallam oh eye af on! Interesting. Is your af mode on area? Ah yes your AF-C settings sounds like tracking sensitivity is higher and your AF speed is low. That's great, I gotta give that one a try!
I think it’s probably taken me 7 years to finally understand how backwards it’s felt this whole time 😂 Something felt off, but I never took enough time to actually pinpoint it.
Interesting--I was in Nakameguro in June and stopped at the same location as Joe. It was in that side alley and I was also intrigued by the concrete on the building faces on both sides of the alley. What was it about the concrete in that location?
Sorry for bothering you mate. I am an absolute beginner and want to buy a camera that is suitable for beginners, easy to use and can be used to make UA-cam and Tik Tok videos as well as travel videos inside trains and airplanes. Do you have any Idea which one I should buy? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Love Future Blue and im going to use it when im in Osaka in september! Can i ask is the WB shift correct on the screen 17:49 why more red and less blue or am i reading it wrong?
ordered at open at Henrys here in Canada and still waiting for it.... seems like all the stock went to online sales by the time the doors opened up GG's what a shit show in Canada. yet there's 30+ locally for sale scalped... turns out you just need a business line of credit and a P.o box and you can just bot them up XD feels good man just pay $4k CAD for my choice 10 black 10 silver one reseller alone XD wooo
Good luck finding one. Why even make videos about it anymore?? Fuji has a serious product problem with these , who cares if they are well designed if you can’t buy one… they should charge 5k for them and make it a premium product like Leica at this point .
Been here since the X100F series!! 🤸♀ Can't believe it's been 7 years 😩
🙌 Thanks for the support all these years - Honestly, it only feels like a few years ago... not 7!

Joe agree 100% on the shadows -2 thing
Damnnn 7 years have flown by, pretty sure I started watching around the New Zealand trip you did
Oh wow! Thanks for all the years! Can’t believe New Zealand (and Australia) was 7 years ago 😢
We need some Reala Ace recipes… love some of the images I’ve gotten with it
The graphics at 12:51 look super clean. Nice video! I tend to look online for recipes, but may have to try these tips.

Fantastic video, Joe! Gotta try these recipes when I get my X100VI! (Someday… 🤣)

Glad I’m not the only one! I literally have to spell it out loud when I make changes “plus 2, to *add* more shadows” 😅

It goes to the lowest dual native ISO, for xt4 it is 640 and 2000
How did you put in decimal values for the tone curve for Future Blue?
Thanks Joe, very helpful video, which camera strap are you using on that X100VI ?
Has anyone tried the Fuji xraw studio app? On my windows computer it feels incredibly slow

Hey, do you know how to change the font and style on the Q menu of a Fujifilm camera? I think your setup look really cool. Is it possible to do it?
X100VI on order.....What camera strap is our yours? ...and lens hood? ...you had a red one before?
Woah whats the magic behind 23:38? Theres a yellow tint to everything and it looks phenomenal! Is this a custom recipe I can find somewhere?
Dr400 and especially DrPriority high transforms recipes dramatically and almost nobody talks about it 👍

@joeallam 11:11 what if you read the numbers differently? Minus means less shadows, plus means more shadows?
You are blessed with this lovely camera but not the folks in Malaysia. ☹️
Dang! It’s been such a long wait for so many people 😩 So frustrating for everyone!

The dials do feel the wrong way round I always go the wrong direction first
I wish I could buy one without getting scammed.
Reducing blackness and brightness ( -) and adding blackness and brightness ( + ). I guess that's what they meant...

Fuji doesn’t have a problem, they do it on purpose.
Exactly they want to mimic Leica 😂
You can get used X-E2 like I did, small if not smaller than X100VI and still doing good if just for jpegs film simulation
Just buy a Xt50
