I held the $35 see through organizer yesterday. It’s a lot for $35 compared to competition. The included wall mounts are killer.

I’m glad Ridgid didn’t try to make this a pack out/ flex competitor. I also like how they kept the same recipe from the gen 1 with a few tweaks to justify making a gen 2. Longer cart handle is what I really wanted from my gen 1 which they addressed here. If you want a simple, no frills cart that’s able to move your tools from truck to job site and around, this is the set up for you.

FWIW in about 2018 I started buying a GEN one rigid boxes, they are a little beat up, but I have not had to retire any of them. I love that Jin two boxes are compatible, I just bought the three drawer system to add to my stack as it is much easier to get stuff in and out when you are not having to tilt all of your higher boxes to reach into a mid/lower box.

Yesterday at HD I got the cart box for $79.00, The medium box for $39.00 and two of the top boxes for $29.00 ea. After inspecting them compared to Milwaukee that I wanted (most tools inside are milwaukee) I just could not pass up paying half the price. After organizing the total rack weighs over 200 lbs and has no problem moving it, I have to break it down to lift it. Boxes are bigger and hold a lot of gear and I still have room in the larger boxes. Didn't realize the dolly came off so that's a bonus.

They wil hit a bigger win if they add connectors to attach cord holders on the side, and a plate to hang a charging station on it. The big little detail none of the regular brands have that actually only Purdy had for their painters box, which is painter pole holes on the cart portion. Other brands should incorporate it, along with a slot for box levels.
Havent got the Purdy box yet, but I noticed it has very identical latching as Ridgid, I wonder if they're compatible

Good job I recently bought the base box with the wheels and it had two prices on the display and a sales price on a brochure attached to the base. So HD sold it for the 69.99 price tag. 20 dollars off is a bargain lol. So last week I bought the small box for 39.99 and I was debating between the small and medium sized box. Well I chose the smaller box for my Dewalt batteries and charger and skil 10 pc. hammer drill bits, sds drill bits and other smalls for the small organizer. I’m excited about this new box because of fact you can take the wheel carrier off. I might add the xl box or the medium box but right now this works perfectly fine.

Hey man, if you made (or if a rigid did in the future) an adapter kit to make the toolbox style rigid vacuum into a compatible stackable unit that would be amazing! Especially if stuff can stack on top of it as well! I would use the heck out of that. An attachment for a compound trim miter saw would be awesome as well; that said, I use makita 18v & 36v platform so I would want one for the small 36v makita saw.
    But super seriously:
    • attachment to turn the cart part into a dolly (especially if it can be left on even when the pro gear boxes are attached)
    • Rigid tool box vacuum conversion kit (able to integrate mid stack)
    • trim saw base conversion kit
    • also a kit (or maybe just an XL box that could fit an air compressor)
…those would be awesome! …or “that would be fire! Slay!” as my kids would say. lol.

I haven't been able to find them anywhere for weeks now. The other thing that would be nice if they came out with a 2.0 full size organizer to replace the first gen. I think you're missing something. The $24.97 organizer IS the half-size box you mention later. That's why it has the metal bar across the front - it's designed to face the side. There is no full-size organizer for 2.0. Hence, this kit will price out just a tad higher because you're paying for two boxes on that fourth layer.

They still missed the mark!! You need to take them apart, but when you reconnect them in the customers house , they should be designed to be able to access tool while stacked .
Explaine what's the point if you have to unstack them in a customers home to get to the tools?? . You get it !!??🥸🤓🤥.
I just ordered a smaller DNA rolling modular tool box that can be stacked and and you can get to all your tools (don't know durability). I'd think a designer would know about this defect in the product by now. Going in and out of homes and apartments, once you stack them together, you should still be able to access all tools, and roll where you need the setup, repeat, next room , next stair landing ,, 😉

@@JakeWeihe nope, it is a big deal when you work in multiple apartments or homes. It's a pretty thoughtless design. Why would I want to roll them to the next apartment , then have to disassemble in another person's apartment just to get to the tools, then you have to put your tools back in and reassemble to go to next apartment or job. They work fine on a construction sight , but multiple stops its pretty annoying to keep stacking and unstacking. .. just saying I've had the Rigid , for a while , almost bought the Dewalt with drawers ,, but you still need to disassemble the set-up to access tools..
