      Made me lol when he paused for a second after writing the "h". You can almost hear his chain of thought:
      "P-h-... wait... oh fuck it, not filming again."

    You have literally saved my life, thankyou, I am eternally grateful!! If it wasn't for you I would be failing physics, however I am on an A at AS! woohoo

    when you were solving the sum of two vectors using mathematics the vectors that you have made a right angle however what would you do if the vectors did not make a right angle, Pythagoras' theorem would no longer work

    • @PhysicsOnline
      @PhysicsOnline  9 років тому +5

      +Waja Hat 99% of the time at A Level there will be a right angled traingle somewhere - but you could always use the sin rule if there wasn't a 90 degree angle.

  • @lskutches
    @lskutches 6 років тому +2

    Nice example. The angle should be 30 degrees North of East (short of long) or 30 degrees if using CCW 360 values (not 70 East of North).

    When adding vectors, are we using the tan=opp/adj or the tan-1 (opp/adj)?

    • @noamamarfarkash1189
      @noamamarfarkash1189 3 роки тому +1

      Those two are the different ways to write the same thing. tan^-1(opp/adj) is what you plug into the calculator.

    do we always use the tan rule?

    • @ElliotKray
      @ElliotKray 7 років тому +1

      Any rule works, as long as you have all the values for the sides and the correct angle, just make sure you use the right function for which sides you are using.
