These were the red flags: Charming. Tragic background story. Lovebombing. “Missing family.” Moving too fast. Too many gifts. Refusing to take no for an answer. Entered house and breaking boundaries made to seem innocent. Hoovering after initial breakups. Daughter “killed.” According to sister, he was “perfect.” Planting the pawn ticket (yes that was a planned manipulation, he guessed correctly that she would snoop in his wallet). Takes over finances-financial abuse. Don’t confront psychopaths. So glad she survived.
Most who love bomb are not devious/murderers. It's not taking no for an answer🚩, calling her after she said it was over🚩, and all the rest that are huge red flags.

@@MayThereBeWorldPeace everyone who love bombs is devious. It is in fact a manipulation tactic used by psychopaths and narcissists, which are both cluster b disorders. There is no love in lovebombing.
I once read a book called The Sociopath Next Door, which was written by a psychologist. She said that it was hard to tell early on whether someone was sociopathic, but she said that if someone tries to gain your sympathy or pity early on, you should take notice.
She repeatedly ignored her own suspicions. She let her desperation take over her decision-making. She's lucky to be alive and her girls are lucky also. It will never end, no matter how many stories are told, some predators will find an easy mark.
@@bgtsy this is true . I don’t ignore anything anymore . Same with my husband, bc I’ve been right so many times. I say I feel weird about something or something is off or I think something might happen: we go with it lol.
The things he did initially that kept making her feel good kept causing a feel good chemical release in her brain and body, then the big letdowns, just like addictions do, which is why people often do get back together with someone like this, just like an addict slipping with an addiction, it may take many attempts to break free or it just might end their lives.
That was my FIRST thought, too! It was like DING DONG! Give the 2 social security numbers to America's most wanted and she would have had a confirmation if he was the killer!
The fingerprints thing is exactly what she should have done when she saw him on the most wanted list on tv. She could have spared herself all the things she put herself through for those weeks. She's alive out of sheer dumb luck
true. And even when she knew who he was, she went around "investigating" knowing she'd write a book later and sell her story to TV networks...rather than calling the police. It's a more exciting story to sell.
at the very least breaking into my house is stalking....at maybe a teenage you could be dumb enough to see it as romantic but as an adult you should see it as it is ...dangerous boundary crossing...
I am so impatient with this victim. Doesn’t she have any common sense? Didn’t she have a gut feeling about this situation? How desperate can women be to ignore truth right in your face?
she's so ignorant she sleeps with him when she knows he's a serial killler. Why not make an excuse to go to your mother's house for the night or SOMETHING. She's probably the dumbest woman I've seen on any crime show. She's not a victim, that's for sure
@lilliansperlingmadsen4662 especially when it involves a master manipulator. They're very good at what they do and they always target vulnerable women.
Can't believe she kept living in this situation with her children in order to investigate further. How much information do you need to know that this guy is dangerously toxic?!?
@@yahniqueedwards231 Because she has absolutely NO common sense. Her daughter's description of her bravery is really a sad case of cognitive dissonance. Her mother made countless terrible decisions that just escalated with severity of situation. It was all too mindboggling to hear.
Many might think this lady is empathic but the reality is this is what codependency looks like. Codependency kills, sometimes slowly (putting up with an abuser and then u get heart disease or cancer from the stress) or it kills through a psychopath. This lady and her daughters are blessed to be alive, she ignored countless red flags. A good saying is "doubt your doubts." Blessings to all the single ladies out there trying to find "love." Love yourself first.
Yes! Somebody gets it. When you are raised with the ingrained idea that your job is to please everyone else and rate everyone else's opinion above your own, you teach yourself to override your instincts. Your feelings can't be right because you can't possibly be right. That would be betraying your built in pattern. So - it takes repeated and high level red flags to make you act. And even then you feel guilty for going against him. Abusers know one the moment they see one.
@taylorpresley4604 You said: "A good saying is: doubts your doubts". I really have to disagree. I'd say: "A good saying is: never doubt your doubts". Your doubts are your intuition. As women, we need to honour our intuition. It is there to protect us, not always from marrying a killer, but perhaps from getting involved with him in the first place.
Seriously cannot believe the police wanted to wait until the following morning before making an arrest when there was NOTHING stopping them from doing so the second he came home from work. That is complete lunacy
Agree. Surely there must be an emergency procedure for acquiring a warrant. If not there should be, like now. Letting this woman walk back into harms way, and leave her daughters in danger as well, was beyond irresponsible. Very lucky for them and of course for everyone concerned that they survived it. All of that drama caused by the police having to chase the guy down was beyond ridiculous. Could they not park their cars out of sight, ring the doorbell or knock normally on the door so as not to raise an alarm. Hopefully the police were willing to admit this to themselves after the fact.
As women, we need to *stop* ignoring red flags. Edit: before commenting "men too," check out the thread-- it's been addressed many times & I meant what I said.
Women ned to stop believing in the BS that is Prince Charming. A large percentage of males are, at heart, not very nice people who easily put on masks, especially in front of women. After 7 decades on this earth, this is what I have seen, and at times experienced. I worked in a male dominated field back in the 80s while in my 20s. What an eye opener! Male partners overwhelmingly unalive their female partner, or to a lesser extent abuse them once they get that ring on her finger. It seems to be getting worse, every single day, there is at least one story of a male killing a female, whether his partner or a stranger. Better to just have a child or adopt a pet if you need to love something.
I didn’t shack up with a murderer but I fell victim to narcissistic men twice. Yet I’m an intelligent and perceptive person. I can therefore kind of understand the emotional, psychological battle this woman had to go through to break free of her husband’s web of lies and love bombing. That’s why it’s easy to blame victims of narcissistic abuse….until you experience it yourself But I agree she let this go too far without turning him in. Especially since she has three children!
I don't think other people posting here are blaming her for her abuse by a narc. They are commenting that she was not thinking clearly or critically after numerous red flags, especially about him as a potential killer (on AMW), about a clear danger to her and her family. Although I agree that psychological amd emotional abuse can cloud one's judgment,it's hard to believe she was willing to put her daughters' well being at risk after numerous, serious red flags.
Divorces a man she was 20 years married to because she got bored. Sees new husband on America's Most Wanted, learns he's a killer, but instead of calling the police and making sure her kids stay safe she plays detective for weeks, acts as if this killer wouldn't hurt them. What an idiot. She's blessed to be alive and that her kids were not harmed.
Back then we didn't have ANY technology like we do now - if you saw something on a *not remotely HD* tv you couldn't rewind or watch it again you had to hope for a re-run the next week. She said it DID NOT look like him on the show. So yes, she played detective. She also never once said she "got bored" of her first marriage, just that they married too young.
@@lyndseyfifield married young is code for i used my husband resources to make a business and when i got bored i file for divorce and get the rest of hubby's money. Huge red flag, This is why men do not wanna marry these days and if they do, they brand a prenup

*UPDATE:* During his interview with "Charmed To Death," Sgt. Tim Bailey gave producers a shocking update: “I received a call from Paul Mack’s attorney, who represented him in California,” said Bailey. “And he told me that he wanted me, and he wanted, particularly, the family to know, that Paul Mack confessed to killing Annette Huddle before he died.” *Paul Mack died in prison in 2018. Breaking into someone's house is actually against the law. It's not just "weird," "something you don't do," or "something that makes me uncomfortable."
@Sugar Spring. Yes and what else might he have done whilst he was in the house. Put cameras, snoop through her, underwear drawer, photocopy documents and so on 😎 yikes!!!
I'm surprised she kept seeing him after he's broken into her house. A woman with three girls, and she marries a guy who breaks into her house? Um...Her kids don't seem to hate her, which is the real miracle here. She sure put them in harms way.
@@sirmadam8183 You nailed it, she was attracted to danger and drama and victimhood. She deserved everything bad that happened to her, but I'm so angry on behalf of those innocent kids.
As a mom I couldn’t fathom ignoring so much and letting this go on for so long before doing something. This woman is delusional she should have called the police as soon as she saw him on AMW. Honestly there’s no rationalizing her behavior that’s bad parenting. She’s lucky he didn’t harm the girls.
She knew something was wrong but she went ahead and married him and put herself and her kids in danger. Awesome insight. This is some special kind of intelligence.
I'm confused as to why she kept things going after he broke in and left workout attire in her home. Then she looks into his eyes and "all she saw was evil" and "felt more fear than ever"...and still married this man?! WTF? Was she THAT lonely? My god.
I thought the same thing!!! He kept giving her red flags and she KEPT ON IGNORING THEM. My God, trust your instinct. Why would you keep putting yourself and your daughters in danger? Silly.
She didn't trust her own feelings, is what the problem is, above all. Made her prone to believing him. Also, way too much empathy: empathy gone awry. The perfect victim.

Playing amateur sleuth and confronting him? 🤦♀️ All she had to do was send some discarded tissues, a used glass, ANYTHING to the authorities with a note that a friend thought that her new husband had a resemblance so here are some fingerprints on a glass he used. That's it! He was caught by fingerprints, FFS! If I was that woman's friend and thought that she couldn't, I would have paid a visit while he was out and picked those up. She could have snuck a peak/taken a picture of his driver's license, gotten info from HER bank about her own account co-signer. Putting him on her bank account at her age and with children is incomprehensible. Taking her to task for very specific decisions past a specific point is more than fair. The only extent of playing sleuth should have been just grabbing quick fingerprint and DNA. She didn't need a private investigator with a retainer with FBI/police at her disposal.
She's so desperate that it's hard to feel sympathetic for her. When he broke into the house she should have been done. It's her responsibility to protect her daughters.

She is't helping anyone, people who are as naive and blind to the obvious as she was won't be capable of learning anything from her experience as the will think they couldn't be that dumb
This woman's decision making process can be seen in the first victim of every horror movie who simply has to investigate the situation even further. Why she did not call the cops the moment her daughters were missing and he would not tell her where they were and stop this silliness is beyond me. She is lucky she is alive.
she said he did not look like he guy on AMW -- I wonder how she saw that -- was there a rerun? She started snooping after he didn't tell her where her daughters were -- I think. If she'd turned him in for having two SSNs, would the police have acted immediately, arresting him and protecting her and her children? It would have been a long process while he'd be free to torment her even if he moved out. The one thing sure -- when you have children you have to know EVERYTHING about any new partner and they don't move in until completely vetted.
I'm sitting here shaking my head in disbelief. Red flag after red flag, alarm bells ringing and she still confronts him instead of going to the police. Swallows a pill he gives her, goes back home after learning he's a murderer... god almighty.

Oh yeah, I had a relationship once when I was very young where he gave me tons of gifts, always brought me flowers, bought me expensive leather jackets. It was all very seductive and I fell for it. After a year of being together I found out he was a pathological liar and cheat. Always remember, if it seems to be good to be true, it is.

I’m having a hard time feeling sorry for her. Humans are given the ability to sense something is wrong and they are in danger. Wild animals don’t ignore these instincts. There is a book called The Gift of Fear. I would suggest everyone reading it.
I think she thought if she was a good person, she would be fine. It's common to think "like attracts like" and other myths. Also she seemed to uncritically feel like role definitions themselves define reality. Like when she said, I didn't want to lie to my husband, or he's my husband, so that's not him on the television. People do this about the word "family" also.
@butterbeanqueen8148, it's not really true that we can just feel when something is wrong. Our instincts can be wrong and we are not actually that good at detecting deception. You need more than just the fear response when a cunning manipulator is operating. It's best to investigate and get concrete, objective evidence. But she did ignore concrete evidence and she left herself and her kids open and vulnerable before she knew if she was safe.
I was shocked that you let him take over your finances and had to ask him for money. That’s a big red flag and signing paperwork you haven’t read. She seems to take no accountability for the extreme danger she put (and kept) her daughters in, just to be with a "hot" guy. Yuck. 😑
There's just something 'off' with this woman. Wiping away tears that aren't there, enjoyed playing detective regardless of the danger she put her young daughters in & she enjoys telling this story. Her eyes almost beam with every recollection. I don't know if she just loves the drama or what🤷♀️ but very odd indeed🤔
This whole production was her attempt to rewrite history, put HER spin on it to cast herself in a more sympathetic light. She's attempting serious damage control. And failing. Like that estranged mother starting her own UA-cam channel and proving to the world she's a toxic narcissist. 😆
Didn't happen that way. She was surprised as he was when he was arrested. She wasn't the reason for it so she didn't sleep with him knowing that he was going to be arrested the next morning.
I love how smart this woman is, and how she does not ignore red flags over warm and fuzzy feelings and gifts. Everybody wants a loving relationship, but she didn’t let that overpower the safety of herself and kids. Like he really had to be creative to manipulate her, breaking down the wall and kept up the act for a good amount of time until she was stuck living with him and married
I cannot continue to watch this. I totally understand how difficult a situation this lady found herself in but she has three children, a business, a home of her own and all her senses are screaming at her that something is wrong. Bad enough that she married him but once she saw him on TV, why did she not make an anonymous call to the police. She was not only putting herself at risk whilst carrying out her investigations but her daughters were in the house with a murderer. Beyond belief!
She threw her 1st husband back into the pond so quickly & easily without much justification or reasoning, yet was so desperate & lonely within just 1 year's time after that to then find, hook up with, & marry a serial killer. WoW
That was my thought, after only a year?! My baby daddy moved women in after the first day and then there was the next then the next and the next. @@helianabanes4875 I’ve been in a position like hers. Even when you are in this alternate sphere of crazy thoughts and shifting reality responses, do not eat the pills. If you listened to her keystones of personality- being strong for her daughters, hoping for a lovely life, being a good person, they reflect points of her self autonomy, and definitely her naïveté, which contributed to how far this situation got. Letting that autonomy go will create permanent damage in the harm we do to ourselves in the future, looking back on retrospection. Her justification of ‘I just wanted him to stop asking’ having already set up the cover of not feeling well should have made a very large flag of self preservation come up and she should have just gone with that. If she was concerned enough to play sick, do not take the offered unknown pills. This lady had strength I bet even she didn’t know she had, and that shone through after that horrific incident. In all the crazy, she would have shrunk back to her keystones, but ignored them. Sure maybe you can’t say what you would do, but from my personal experience, when everything was not right and upside down, being extremely vulnerable (I was underage) I didn’t know everything and made a ton of mistakes, but when the coercion to take something physically into myself that didn’t want to take, I found a way not to. This lady was grown. Even with extreme gullibility, do not eat the pills.
The thing with the daughters would have been enough to send me running. Maybe she should work for the police as an undercover agent. As for the pill, I was thinking it could be cyanide. It could have been anything. I would have spit that out.
I hope her daughter's father got FULL custody of the girls after finding out what danger she put his children through. Living with a murderer and trying to "figure it out on her own". Just when you think she can't get any dumber. She goes back for more? She has to thrive on this danger.
My thoughts exactly. I'm thinking the dad of these children has no idea what their sick mother is putting them through. He could have lost his kids in a heartbeat. I hope he got custody after this. (But we both know he didn't, don't we?)
IN MY OPINION, I THINK SHE WAS PLAYING THE LONG GAME... I BELIEVE COPPERS WERE OUTSIDE ALL NIGHT, JUST IN CASE (THIS IS DRAMA). TO ENSURE HE DOES NOT RETURN, LIKE HE KEEPS PROMISING HER TO HOLD HER IN THE FEAR ZONE... SHE HAD TO PLAY IT OUT... SHE WAS SO DAMN LUCKY. THANK GOD...

Your feelings can't be right because you can't possibly be right. That would be betraying your built in pattern. So - it takes repeated and high level red flags to make you act.

When her friend called and said he looked like the most wanted guy on tv, why didn’t that person call the police?
When she found suspicious things, why did she go to him!?

How frigin naive is she
Desperate for a husband and so needy
I’m glad she shared her story. Millions of women think and do what she did, and stay. Most women don’t survive or help catch a man they think they love, they end up dead. I’m glad her family is safe and he’s in prison. He needs to stay there until his last breath.
She’s on the spectrum.
Are you suggesting that most women are this dumb and this lacking in accountability?

Easy now. When one bn married young & for a long time. One naturally naive at a level that one looks back at with enormous embarrassment & regret. I commend her for having the courage to tell her cautionary tale. Im not suggesting you should feel sorry for her, but kicking her when she's down, or after the fact, knowing she's learned her lesson...youre advertising alot about YOUR OWN lack of good character.
She was desperate and pathetic. I couldn't even feel sorry for her.

One massive red flag after another and this kind lovely lady needs more evidence? Call the police!

I’m having a hard time feeling sorry for her. Humans are given the ability to sense something is wrong and they are in danger. Wild animals don’t ignore these instincts. There is a book called The Gift of Fear. I would suggest everyone reading it.
The Gift of Fear , by Gavin DeBecker is a fantastic book. I highly recommend it.
@@keryljensen978 it really is. I recommend it for everyone. It should be required reading!
People call her naive. That's such a kind way of putting it.
They did a great job with the reenactment of the story!
She has doubts and fears but gives him full access to her accounts
She’s pathetic
She saw evil in his eyes and married him with 3 daughters ? WTH lady?

She's wiping away tears that aren't there.
This is so feminine 😆
I thought the same!
I'm sorry for her close encounter with this monster & I'm sorry that I seem cold for saying this, but enough with the fake crying big act of shame & sorrow, lady! I can't even finish watching this all the way through because I don't buy her presentation of supreme victimhood!
This has to be one of the best documentaries I've ever seen! WOW! Excellent video!
There’s something seriously wrong with this mother! Who takes chances like that with young Children in the home??

She got the daughters out of the house
The cops dropped the ball bigtime.
She's so dumb! Unbelievable!!
She sent the daughters away but still. I think she knew he would run and maybe come back!
😂
WoW
Evil woman right?
That was my thought, after only a year?! My baby daddy moved women in after the first day and then there was the next then the next and the next. Yes, learning is the whole point of videos like this. 🙆♀️
After my divorce, I ventured out to meet people( at the insistence of friends) . I met a guy one night who told me he was a widower, and I asked what his dead wife’s name and the date of car accident. He did, I didn’t give him my number, he gave me his , said I would call, went home and immediately research his story. I didn’t find anything on the “ accident” where he said his wife died, so I never called him . A few month later , a coworker met him at the same nightclub and she started dating him. Turns out he was married , no job , and had several girlfriends who would give him money. My coworker stopped seeing him after a few months abd $$$ , and supposedly she exposed him on Facebook. Btw.. I don’t have any social media. Idk what happen to him, but I dodged that bullet.

I’m on her side, but lawdy. Once you are in the territory of ‘2 dead peoples security cards’, ‘ hired p.i.’ , ’questioning where daughters are at’ this is the rule and I cannot stress this one enough: DO NOT EAT ANY OFFERED PILLS. PRETEND. SPIT THEM OUT. PRETEND TO PUKE AND FLUSH THEM. WHATEVER. DO NOT EAT THE PILLS.
And get their name off of your bank accounts
It's pretty easy to forget that we have not been in a position like hers. I always HOPE that I would react in a way that is in keeping with how I view myself, but the bottom line is, I just have no idea what I would do or how I would behave unless I am in that exact situation with that exact history and back story.
Even with extreme gullibility, do not eat the pills.

stop the victim-blaming. U don't know the state of mind she was in. She was vulnerable and just came out of divorce. How many of us were involved in wrong relationships because of rebound or societal pressure. No different.
