Man has ALWAYS been in need of it. There is nothing new under the sun. Its the same fight, but we bring Jesus Christ with us now! I urge Christians not to despair, or to be intimidated. Greater is our strength to do His works now! Our children live in this age, it is our job to encourage them and not to live in fear!
I watched this video twice in a row to celebrate St.Patrick's Day today n it is phenomenal!!! You did an amazing job, showing us the Ireland of St. Patrick's time as well as the present time with the Book of Kells, the cathedrals, Trinity College n all the ruins n islands where the monks preserved the Christian documents that JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD initiated and ordained the Apostles to continue to spread HIS HOLY WORD!!! The prayer at the end of the video topped it off fabulously!!! Mr. Story, you have given us a magnificent tribute to the REAL meaning of St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for posting. .🙏🍀💚🗝️🌟👍🕊️
A wonderfully filmed and told story of St. Patrick and the deep roots of his accomplishments during his life. He was an amazing man...really St. Patrick made Christianity shine in Ireland
Dear Dave Scott I have been viewing your video since the day before yesterday. Extra ordinarily good filled with thrill and action and inspired me to listen yr other videos also St. Patrick is Ireland's Patron Saint. In my Parish also we observed His memorial Day on March 17th I will write you elaborately later being l am very late at night
Outstanding history lesson. The production values are very very high, the format was superb, and your storytelling was top-notch. This was an excellent video!
Thank you Dave Stotts for beautifully presenting the history of St. Patrick. I have heard of him but after watching the video of yours I'm inspired to see what God with a simple man where he uses him to touch a whole nation. I'm Jacinth watching from India please continue to do more videos! God bless you abundantly! By the way I would to travel along with you to visit places 😀😊😇
Yes Saint Patrick had great salvations in Ireland and we celebrate his victory over darkness in Ireland. He used shamrock ever since to explain the triune God Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Only one God and three person. . Only one shamrock and three leaves. ua-cam.com/video/eL7BIGnj4SA/v-deo.html
I grew up near Slemish Mountain in the nearby village of Broughshane. Watching this has made me a bit homesick. You can indeed see Scotland from the top and if you turn around you can see Lough Neagh. It's a wonderful view on a clear summer day.

This is a beautiful documentary of St Patrick. So much more information about the accomplishments during his life. St Patrick was just an amazing man. Was amazing how he was able to being Christianity to the people of Ireland in a way that they could understand. A humble man walking with God and amble to accomplish many things during his life.
@@lorrainecc99 It was because of St Patrick's conversion of those pagans of Ireland that brought back Christianity to Scotland, Wales and England. You can thank him for that. He knew the Scriptures better than any learned priest or decon.
@@kathrynjordan8782 Yes like I said, he popularised it. By using pagan symbols and traditions... whilst condemning said Pagans who weren't so eager to convert. Not sure why I should be thanking him honestly! Who knows how a modern Pagan Ireland would have looked? And if Patrick didn't spread Christianity some other forsaken missionary would have tried it. Still, Christianity really didn't do Ireland any favours!
Thank you for a great documentary! Loved the connection you made between St. Patrick and King David, who both started out as lowly shepherds. All the places you showed us were awesome. As I like history, and travel (at least watching travel videos!) and videos made by people of faith, I've just subscribed to your channel. BTW, I like and own Thomas Cahill's book, "How the Irish Saved Civilization". I recommend it to anyone who studies history.
St. Patrick’s day became a typical festivity (just like Christmas), wherein people use it as an excuse to party rather than internalising the reason why it’s celebrated.
Omgoodness How beautiful. This was truly Amazing to watch. I cried at the end. The Book of Kells...your prayer and just to know how God used St. Patrick. Thank you so much Dave and so glad you got to knock a bucket lost off too. Truly Amazing. GOD BLESS 🙏📖✝️🙋🏼♀️
Thank you so much for this amazing journey, exploring the life of St. Patrick, the significance, and the history of Ireland. I went to watch this video only expecting to hear how St. Patrick drove snakes out of Ireland, which is what I had previously heard of him. But the real accounting of his life, his suffering, and his faith, is immeasurably profound and moving. And thank you for the prayer. God bless you. ❤
This dude does a GREAT narrative to his magnificent travels through Ireland's lush, yet barren at the same time, countryside. The ruins where St. Patrick stands guard STILL are fabulous!!! WONDERFUL video on the famously infamous St. Patrick for his own Day due to his contributions to Catholicism!!!👍🙏🍀🗝️💚🍵🪦
I'm 60-ish and was born & raised a Roman Catholic and didn't know until now that Patrick was never ordained as a Saint by any Pope.!! What an amazing fact. Anyway, his miracle is not driving snakes away (no snakes on islands) or raising dead people back to life (quite impossible) but convincing the Irish that you're right and they're wrong, now that's a real miracle.!!
One St. Patrick's history that I ran across stated that when Patrick returned to Ireland to "convince" the people there to adopt Christianity, that he used tyranny and violence up to and including death, to bring those conversions about. What I learned about St. Patrick from that history made me not want to celebrate the holiday any longer. But how do we know what is factual and what isn't?
