@@drg4664 In most cases, you are correct. If I were suddenly in this situation, I'd give the guy my money. However in some scenarios, you might have to try it. For example, if the bad guy tries to force you to go somwhere, you are probably better off trying something like this. Or if he knows you are armed (because you are carrying openly -- not something I think is wise, but that's another debate), and he is attempting to disarm you, you may need to try it. Or if he is threatening your family, you may need to try it. Attempting a disarm when someone is pointing a gun at you is really a last resort, when you are reasonably certain he's going to kill you anyway at some point. If he just wants your money, give him your money, it's not worth your life.

Not everyone has the mindset or knack to learn hundreds of complex moves and most of the time, the flight or fight reflex and gross motor skills is what we have to work with. Nicely done and very entertaining as you add a little comedic relief.

      Become a channel member
Join a participating channel membership on the main UA-cam site and app.
Visit youtube.com or open the UA-cam app.
Go to the channel of, or a video uploaded by, the creator you'd like to support and see if they have enabled memberships on their channel.
      Click or tap Join.
Follow the prompts to enter your payment information.
      Click or tap Buy.
You’ll see a welcome announcement once your transaction is complete. When you have an active paid membership, you will be automatically charged at the start of each monthly billing cycle.
Currently, you cannot become a member on the UA-cam iOS app. However, all of the features will be visible on iOS once your membership is activated on the UA-cam desktop or UA-cam app on other devices.

The shooters 00DA loop must close on your movement before his brain can send a signal to pull the trigger on you by then if done correctly he has lost control of the situation and your gone with a new gun😀

I don't know about the disarm stuff, but John is not a good robber.

If you make the decision to rob Craig, you are a very incompetent criminal.

well most robbers aren't good robbers, so i think i see what he was going for and trying to simulate what you would likely come across in the real world. but yeah i agree, a good robber would probably do exactly what john said in the intro a robber won't do and keep some distance (assuming he is armed with a pistol in that scenario)

Simple, effective, doesn't require precise movements & adaptable to almost any situation where you face your attacker. My disarm looks almost exactly the same. Nice to see useable technique instead of the complicated stuff many "experts" try to sell. Thanks for putting out good material.

SouthNarc has some great material. A martial arts teacher passed on to me SouthNarc's list of pre-attack cues, real solid stuff.

Great video John I've never commented on any of your videos but I've seen and watched every one of them and you're the only one I take to heart and I practice and train with, I absolutely believe in your skills and believe as a martial artist that your skills are the best life-saving skills anybody can learn by watching a video.. you keep it simple straight and to the poin, no shit involved nothing to weed through just straight advice to The Watcher and you leave it up to them to use or to excuse.. I personally use your advice in training all the way down to the simplest aspect of combat whether it be how to transition your rifle sling to your off hand or properly pulling out your sidearm and how to properly transition into utilizing your secondary blaster ....great video brother as always, your videos are unlike any others on UA-cam I'll follow you to hell and back. Because I truly believe you'll get us there and back in one piece your advice is one in a million keep it up brother you're not only doing the regular man a favor but you're doing God's work by giving life-saving advice with no thrills... may God bless you and your family stay safe out there brother
