I like this concept. Diets fail because they are too extreme and deprive you of the things you love. Offering an alternative way to eat something is a better solution.
What you don't understand is that with the proper human way of eating (a carnivore diet) you change your metabolism and you no longer desire 'the things you love'. If you stick to a carnivore diet for six months, you no longer want sugar, carb laden, or processed food.
What a load of ignorant garbage. Diets fail because people like you have no discipline and view eating as a form of entertainment or something to make you feel good. Eating has one purpose, to nourish your body and that is how it should be viewed. The reason you love certain things and don't want to give them up is because you are addicted to them. "Offering an alternative way to eat something is a better solution"??? Really? Cyanide is toxic to humans, would you consume it if someone gave you an "alternate" way to consume it?

Milk has protein. Does this mean sweets made with milk (like Kheer, Burfi or ice-cream) are less bad for health than sweets made without milk (like Pathay ka Murabba or Balushahi)?
That's very naive, if this doctor was sincere, he would try to get people off sugar, not give them a way to continue their addiction, doctors like thins want you to stay unhealthy because it keeps them in business.
A good doctor discourages patients from eating sugar which is a junk food that nobody needs. A good doctor explains to patients that a small amount of sugary snack is never enough and even a small amount of sugar encourages cravings. Sugar is never healthy and there are cardiologists who say that sugar is the cause of CVD and studies have shown that sugar feeds cancer cells. Sugary snacks are easy to avoid once people are encouraged to eat filling healthy foods such as animal protein and eggs. Sweet snacks should be eaten as a treat only for special occasions and then only if they don't start a sugar craving. Eating sugar with fat and protein doesn't stop it circulating around the body and doing harm.
The current science says that as long as you avoid insulin spikes, sugar intake is not harming your body. "Good Doctor' is a very subjective term. We had 'good doctors' pre-1950s, before we had an obesity epidemic and all of the other metabolic epidemics. And they didn't forbid sugar intake. This was before HFC and all of the artificial sweeteners. They just had good old fashioned honey and cane sugar. This was before ultra-processing of all of these foods. This was before the low-fat craze. This was when P.E. and physical activity was the norm for most people, before the television and remote controls had such a chunk of our lives. We have to stop a moment and think logically and reasonably about these things. I'm not telling you to eat sugar but just because you have found avoiding sugar easy with protein and eggs, doesn't mean that's the case for everyone else. This approach of controlling blood sugar works for some people. Moderation works for some people.
A good doctor understands the psychology of food and understands the sugar addiction that billions have and are not willing to give up no matter what. Good doctor gives tips to those people who he knows that no matter how much discouraging and education he gives his patients people are not going to give up the sugar, and isn't it better that they provide patients with some tips not to have high spike blood sugar.
@@aliciar8978 That's a very naive and quite frankly lazy way to look at it. Curious: I understand that protein and fiber can slow the absorption of sugar. An insulin spike is different from constantly elevated insulin levels. Wouldn't it be better to have the sugar insulin spike than to prolong the absorption of sugar, which can cause insulin resistance? Also insulin causes fat storage, wouldn't it be better to eliminate the sugar insulin quickly so less fat is stored? 🤔

I would think eating sugar with high fiber food would slow down the insulin spike as well. Fiber takes time to digest and lowers the glycemic index
