The historical twist of lime-soaked corn by the ancient cultures was such a cool piece of info. It’s amazing how small changes in preparation can make a huge difference in nutrition!
I am a 55 year old woman, post menopause and just can not loose about 10kg of extra fat. One Keto meal a day for 2 weeks and not 1 cm loss😢. This, after weeks on 16:8, which neither worked! A meal consists of mixed salad and grass fed beef or sheep. When on 16:8 the first meal consists of 2 eggs, a piece of white cheddar and 2 pieces of bacon. What am I doing wrong?
One interesting point is how foods like Brussels sprouts, garlic, and especially onions are highlighted as key sources of quercetin. These are often thought of as simple seasonings, but in reality, they play a huge role in slowing down aging and reducing inflammation. This is something I definitely want to include more in my diet!
Just a small note here: the way people consume these in the west IS just seasoning; because ground only has a short lifecycle. For you to get the health benefits of their compounds, you must ground them fresh as you use them or consume them whole.
@@HomesteadAce Do you mean kind of like garlic that needs to be ground to get the alison benefit? Should onions be ground to get all the benefits? I eat a lot of onion for vitamin c, but didn't know they have quercetin. Maybe I'll start grinding them like I do the garlic?
This breakdown on anti-aging foods is amazing! It’s surprising how vital niacin-rich foods, like beef liver and organ meats, can be, along with sauerkraut, turmeric, and omega-3s. Who knew our diets could naturally boost NAD levels and support longevity? Can’t wait to try some of these-thank you!

Hello doc, even tough you are far away. I want to thank you. Bcos a lot of information from u has helped me through the suffering i've experienced for almost 2y. Anxiety disorders are very terrible, at that time i felt hopeless.. and now i feel sooooo much better. You're the best ! I am Indonesian ❤
Dr. Berg's videos been an immense help in my journey back to good health as well. I used to be in great condition, able to run 7 - 10 miles daily but after I graduated college and started my career, it was a series of desk jobs with long, late hours and I fell out of shape and put on over 100 lbs. I started and stopped various diets over the years and while I did lose some weight, it wasn't enough. Over the past few years my doctor has gotten increasingly concerned about my blood tests and liver function and started pushing me harder to get more active and reduce my sugar intake. (I've been a heavy soda drinker since high school but it wasn't a problem when I was very active and in great shape.) At the beginning of this year I was still 70 lbs over where I was in peak condition and so I swore I would do whatever it takes to lose the weight and get back into shape. In late April when it was getting nicer outside, I started walking every day for 30 minutes to an hour and eventually expanded it to an hour and a half to two hours and greatly reduced my sugars and carbs and did short-term keto diets never last more than three weeks. I am over halfway to my weight goal and have started getting short runs intermixed with my walking each day. I lost a month and a half in June and July when I stress-fractured my foot from pushing myself too hard on running. I also tore a calf muscle a few weeks after I got back into things from the fracture and had to give it a week of rest and then just walk every other day for about thirty minutes until it healed. It was really disheartening to have those set-backs but it also made me angry with myself for letting myself go like that and at that point swore I was going to get back into shape even if it killed me! It was during those times I was unable to do as much walking/running that I started really looking on UA-cam for other ways I could continue my weight-loss. I found Dr. Berg's channel and have watched everything I could find on his recommendations for keto-genic dieting (which I do off and on for 3 weeks to month each time), fasting, exercise, vitamins, supplements, and eating healthier. I have lost nearly 40 lbs since I started and have about 30 left to go. I am preparing for a 30 day water fast after the holidays where I expect to regain a little of that but intend to try to keep it minimal. I was at over 40% body fat and am now down to 24% and my goal is the 10-12% I used to be. I reached one of my goals for the year of being able to do the occasional 10+ miles a day of mixed walking and running and may have been able to reach my weight and body fat goals if not for the setbacks. I started a gym membership for during the winter months and also purchased a treadmill for home, so I can continue my exercise. I am hoping to have completed my weight loss before spring and can then focus on strength training to get myself back to where I was on that as well. It's a lot of work, but VERY worth it in not only how much better you feel but also how much better you feel about yourself. It has helped my self-esteem a lot and I now believe my goals are attainable with how much I've accomplished so far. P.S. I turned 51 years old this past summer.
Was really happy to see Sauerkraut on the list. Just made my 1st. 2 batches almost 4 weeks ago. Put the 1st. batch in the fridge after 3 weeks. The 2nd. batch is still fermenting, coming up on week #4. It is the best Kraut I have ever had. Pretty simple to make,..... it just takes some time. My favorite way to eat it is put some on a plate w/ a good shot of mustard & just warm it a bit in the microwave. Helps keep you cleaned out too !
P.S. I am already eating what you suggest here (mostly because from your informative videos), And a few days ago decided to start making my own purple cabbage sauerkraut because $13 a jar for the white seems the less desirable way to go. Great videos.!!!
Hi, I am 52 and have been eating most of the stuff you mentioned most of my life. Being born in Germany, sauerkraut and red cabbage are almost on top of the list for me...., always loved fish, even cod liver.
Auch grunkohl. Leber. Und viel zwiebeln......mohren.....Alle beeren aus dem garten...met am husband. He ate canned food. Oreals ......and endl SS bags of chips.....all the time. Not here anymore 34 years...my love ...he grew up that way. The great, how can you improve, when you are tought, you are superior
I do eat everything mentioned but for some reason I have neglected many of these in my recent diet as before the Holidays I go on a reduction, I have to admit I went a little too far my recent blood test showed that I had a quiet low red blood cell count. So happy to see this video I am 72 and female and I do concentrate on my mitochondria. Happy Thanksgiving Dr. Berg and to all (I hope my celebration will not be ruined by politics)
If you just can't eat beef liver, would grass fed, pasture raised beef liver supplements (capsules) have some benefit? And, yes, thank God for Dr. Berg and I love the RFK Jr idea!
Wow, love to hear you affirming Dr. Sinclair's research on NAD. I watch both of you, your videos and other doctors too who are more inclined to natural treatments.
My understanding is that pellgra also came about when they started milling flour and took everything out of it, so it would keep longer. Because of pellgra they had to "enrich" it with niacin. I didn't know about the corn.
Dr. Berg, I have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol, and two of my uncles have had strokes because of it. My family manages cholesterol by limiting red meat and focusing on foods like fish, chicken breast, lentils, and vegetables. When I added more meat to my diet (alongside vegetables), I felt great, but my recent blood test showed slightly elevated cholesterol. I’m healthy, exercise regularly, and live a low-stress lifestyle. Now, I’m unsure what the best diet approach is for me, and I’m 36 by the way!!
You might want to look into your Triglyceride HDL ratio = triglyceride level ÷ HDL, it should be below 2 ideally. Your body makes cholesterol, it is an essential component, notably to make vitamin D.
Hi there. Are you doing keto and Intermittent fasting? If you are then I suggest you watch my videos on cholesterol here: www.youtube.com/@Drberg/search?query=cholesterol
I'm 55 Dr Berg. Eat well and exercise. Why does everything ache now? Seriously, it's back one month, then knees. Now I've some sort of shoulder impingement that feels like a toothache in my arm.
Dr Berg constantly and thankfully advises us about good health. The only thing that I wish he addresses comprehensively is the prostate/red meat relationship. How is it possible to consume red meat and dairy products and eggs when every piece of information we find on the Internet tells us to stop eating these foods if we have prostate issues?
He did. There are a lot of false information produced on this and it is not easy to find the source of it and really see the intention of the people who spread the data. Best is to find the time to investigate each piece of data and experiment with it. But Dr Berg definitely made very detailed videos on each piece of data, including on the prostate, on the benefits of grass fed, grass finished red meats, pasture raised eggs and pasture raised or grass fed raw dairy. If you search, you will find his videos on each of these points.
About Prostate, Iodine deficiency linked to Cancers of breast, thyroid, pancreas, etc. Last century midwest farmers livestock were found by Michigan Agricultural College ( Now Michigan State University) found to be deficient in Iodine. Major scandal that it is ignored, tho Dr. Berg has championed for Iodine also.
regarding facial exercises, please specify to be very gentle and only do a small amount of facial exercises per day. Because facial muscles are connected with muscles on the scalp and if one exercises too much, it can create very painful headaches which can last for days.
@@1STLUCKYB Ok. That could be helped with enough vit d, together with enough zinc, magnesium, k2, as explained in some of Dr Berg's videos on TMJ and on absorbing vit d.
Dear Dr Berg, I have no idea what heaven you came from but you must be some kind of an angel. I cannot tell you how much you have improved my life. Whoever follows you really needs to pay attention and incorporate it into their lives.
Very interesting! A couple of questions right off the bat: - What the hell is "no-flush Niacin?" Is it as effective? (I do realize that regular Niacin has that side effect, which is why I've avoided it.) - Would Beef Liver supplements (like those offered by Ancestral Supplements and others) be a good way to get your Niacin?
He made at least one video on the differences between the two types of niacin. I love the flush but some people can't stand it. They both have values but are quite different. If one is deficient in niacin, I don't think liver supplements would provide enough niacin. But some of Dr Berg's videos on causes of niacin deficiency may help reduce the need for niacin supplements.

In India we add turmeric to all our dishes. We also add pepper to it because curcumin gets absorbed when combined with black pepper.
Keep um coming, Dr. Berg, thank you!
Thank You Dr Berg! I want to look and feel like you….Handsome and Healthy!!
Another great explanation. Common sense nutrition...for the masses. We need it!
That time of the year. 😮 How do we start preparing for the holidays meals?
See his holidays recipes on his website. Also his wife /family have a recipe channel.
Thank you @@experimenthealthyketo83
Leave the holidays.

Thanks again Dr. Berg. I am learning so much about how to live a healthier life.
You are most welcome! Really glad it's helping. Thanks for watching!
I’m so happy you said that about red meat .❤
Great. Hope you enjoyed watching the video.
Very healthy for you. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work!
@Drberg Thanks
Auch grunkohl. Leber. Und viel zwiebeln......mohren.....Alle beeren aus dem garten...met am husband. He ate canned food. Oreals ......and endl SS bags of chips.....all the time. Your picture of you aging looks real! Very helpful information thank you
Very welcome! Glad it helps!
Thanks, Dr. Berg. I am 51 this year, and my focus is my gut microbiome.
Thanks for yet another great video…❤
Yes. He answered this in videos on liver /supplementing with grass-fed liver capsules.
@@experimenthealthyketo83 Thank you so much! I'll do a search for those videos and check them out! Thanks again!
I m 54 and thank you very very much Dr. Berg❤🇹🇷
Wow, love to hear you affirming Dr. Sinclair's research on NAD. I watch both of you, your videos and other doctors too who are more inclined to natural treatments.
Really appreciate your message. Glad it is helpful. Thanks for the support!
Thank you so much Dr. Berg!! Thank you for your time, your effort and your valuable presence in our lives!!!
Another great video! Thank you Dr Berg.
Very glad you enjoyed it. You are most welcome!
My understanding is that pellgra also came about when they started milling flour and took everything out of it, so it would keep longer. Because of pellgra they had to "enrich" it with niacin. I didn't know about the corn.
Yay! More FANTASTIC information from Dr. Eric Berg 👏 You da MAN!!
Great information thanks doctor ❤
That was a great video thank you Dr. Berg. Happy health to everyone.
Thanks doc! Love you!
Oh, perfect timing. Turning 50 soon!
Glad the timing worked out. Wishing you a wonderful celebration!
May god give you more strength and energy 🙏🏻 😊.
Thank you. As always... on point!
You are most welcome, Audrey! Anytime!
Thank you, doctor!
Most welcome!
I have couple years to reach 50 , will starts by this year Dr..
A video of you arguing with ChatGPT would be hilarious and would go viral.
Dr berg is the only dr. Love to see again nd again...
Love from Asia (India)
🥳💐🧿
good Day to you Dr Eric Berg
I'm 55 Dr Berg. Eat well and exercise. Why does everything ache now? Seriously, it's back one month, then knees. Now I've some sort of shoulder impingement that feels like a toothache in my arm.
Same here..maybe inflammation
Do not sleep on that shoulder!!!
Looks like a classic vit d deficiency. Some of his videos on knees, on pain/inflammation may help.
Without carbs it's NOT a problem.
@SpamMouse meat and dairy increase estrogen. Does stopping consuming carbs make the body stop producing estrogen in men?
I have CFS and am having an awful relapse. I would be grateful for any help getting back on track.
His videos on CFS helped me tremendously.
Wonderful.Thank you so much drberg 🙏 👍
Most welcome! Anytime!

I use to beef Liver with onions garlic
I ate grass fed beef with onions, garlic mixed in.. and sauerkraut on side. 😊
Thank you So much for your honest facts.
Love & kindness to you. Very grateful for you. 💫❤️
Thank you so much doctor. Great list.
Thank you Doctor Berg. "Much obliged" as the old timers used to say.
Always good info !!!
So this how you look without the camera filters? Just kidding, your work is great. One of the best channels for carnivore/keto. Thank you
regarding facial exercises, please specify to be very gentle and only do a small amount of facial exercises per day. Because facial muscles are connected with muscles on the scalp and if one exercises too much, it can create very painful headaches which can last for days.
I triggered TMJ
@@1STLUCKYB Ok. That could be helped with enough vit d, together with enough zinc, magnesium, k2, as explained in some of Dr Berg's videos on TMJ and on absorbing vit d.
Thank you Dr. 🙏🏼
Welcome! Anytime!
Wow you look amazing Dr. Berg! 🎉
Thank you Dr have a blessed day
Long live doctor berg ❤
You are such a treasure!!
Appreciated! Thanks for your support!
amazing that you could summarize videos like this by simply one can eat anything, and huge variety of food except processed foods.❤🔥❤🔥
Dear Dr Berg, I have no idea what heaven you came from but you must be some kind of an angel. I cannot tell you how much you have improved my life. Whoever follows you really needs to pay attention and incorporate it into their lives.
God bless you Dr.
Very interesting! A couple of questions right off the bat:
- What the hell is "no-flush Niacin?" Is it as effective? (I do realize that regular Niacin has that side effect, which is why I've avoided it.)
- Would Beef Liver supplements (like those offered by Ancestral Supplements and others) be a good way to get your Niacin?
He made at least one video on the differences between the two types of niacin. I love the flush but some people can't stand it. They both have values but are quite different.
If one is deficient in niacin, I don't think liver supplements would provide enough niacin. But some of Dr Berg's videos on causes of niacin deficiency may help reduce the need for niacin supplements.
Thank You Dr. Berg ❤
Eggs 🥚 I eat a lot
Hope 🥚 are on the list 🙏🏼
Me too, like 4-8 per day!
Hello! Eggs are an excellent source of nutrients. Egg yolks from pasture-raised eggs are an excellent source of the following:

•The active form of vitamin A (retinol)
•Vitamin E
•Vitamin K2
•Vitamin D
•Omega-3 fatty acids
•Potassium, magnesium, and selenium.
Very healthy for you!
