I just got a loaded one, with the optional bench seat on 2nd row which I think is more practical if you want to use all the cargo space and still have a 5 seater. I love it! Not sure how useful the headrest displays are for second row passengers but hey at least it's loaded.

Great video. I would have got one of these if I didnt find a fully loaded 2020 Edge ST with only 9k miles I was able to get for $36k. Fully loaded Explorer ST for $58k is a steal considering the Durango SRT STARTS at $70k.

Hmm when you change to Sport mode it should redline more than regular drive mode. The exhaust would sound a bit different from the higher RPMs. Does the cluster say that it's in sport.. it would be red
I have the 2021 fully loaded and wish I had the 2nd row bench seat. Needed AWD bc of freak snow/ice a few years ago(Hasn’t happened since then 🙄). I love the look, feel when driving, but I really miss the room my 2020 expedition had with 2nd & 3rd row bench seats that sat 3 people in each. Especially with 4 foster sons. Having one in 5 point booster and another in back/front facing makes room tight getting in/out. Now we are dealing till we can trade in for an expedition with 4wd.
The Expedition is great for bigger families. If you really need the bench you might be able to find one from an Explorer that has been written off. Might be worth a search at some local yards!
I have the Sport and love it. It's rare to find a sporty SUV these days that you look forward to driving. Looks like the ST will be my next vehicle but I heard the 2022 + is the way to go due to gearbox issues on earlier models.
The old sport was great, you're losing out on the hand shifter with the newer model but the tech and performance make up for it. Not sure how much of a rush you're in but the Explorer is getting a complete redesign for the 2025 model so it might be worth looking at, assuming Ford is keeping the ST!
The full assembly would be a pain to find but it could technically be done.. just need to find seats out of an Explorer in a scrap yard because you aren't going to be able to order the bench by itself from Ford

Scrap yard or Craigslist/Kijiji find is definitely the way to go for this one, it'll save you a bunch. If you shoot a video on the before/after install send it my way!

That sucks... new one or used? It'll be covered under warranty but if it keeps running into problems don't hesitate contacting Ford corporate in your country to push for a new unit
great video and noticed that the model you demo'ed didn't have the rear climate control. our new 2022 has it where you would also have the center row heated seat option, so i figure your model wasn't as "fully" loaded as expected

You might get a little too close to the dash to get to the pedals and there isn't an option for power adjustable pedals.. You can do an aftermarket set instead to bring them closer to the driver

I upgraded all the things that I read go bad (factory cats) or were under engineer from the factory (turbo intercooler) and 23's don't have a BOV (So I installed a turbo Smart blow off valve). These things have a lot of body roll from the factory so the AFE rear control bar will stiffen it up. Hi this time to go with steeda lowering springs because function and appearance. Lots of people in the aftermarket world are running h&rs or lethal springs and it just slams it too low not practical (my opinion) Of course exhaust is just acoustic preference 😜
Speedo runs up to 240 km/h but I'm not sure if there's a factory limit set. @KenKyleRacing takes his to the track all the time and might be able to give you some insight to what he's gotten it up to
The ST has a tech package that would give you the larger screen. It's not too big a difference between the 2 of them though - very similar feature set!

Why not 265 and up for such a high performance automobile? The last years model Ford Explorer ST had stock 255 tires!? The thing is to heavy and performance to high for such narrow tires like those. When I had my Ford Taurus SHO it came stoke standard with 245’s and optional 255’s. I switched them up with aftermarket 275’s and had a ball.
Good call on the 275s for the Sho. I like the idea of adding that in though, a small detail for people who care about tire performance. I had someone mention talking about suspension too so I'm coming up with ideas on how to talk about that in future videos or as a dedicated video

I’d shop around to a few Ford dealers to see who is willing to give the best trade in value on the Lexus and sale price on the Explorer ST. You’d be surprised at what some high volume dealers are willing to offer

Car wheels have rims... it's the edge of the wheel that people always scrape against curbs haha. I've used it interchangeably when I should know better but it sounds so much better saying nice rims vs nice wheels

For the price there aren't many comparable rides on the market. Go big with the Durango SRT Hellcat but that's almost $40k more and SRT 392 which is a bit more powerful rings in about $14k more
Don't know of any manufacturers outside of Tesla that have a self park feature. Some Explorer models have park assist but you have to be in the vehicle to use it

Is it possible to modify the car from 6 seater to a 7 seater? I have 2 captain seats in a second row but I would prefer 3 seat bench instead.

FYI, there are no bulbs under the hood. The entire front end is LED on all models, including the fog lamps.

Yeah it's available 4WD in the US. It's just that in the US you can also get RWD which isn't available as an option here at all
We ordered loaded 23 in October. USA ran out of chips allocations for massaging seats 😡. Other then that still a nice SUV
