Dude. You sold me. My hats off to you. I really like how you do your videos. I was sold by 4:52 seeing the dimensions of the interior space is what sold me. Thank you for being thorough like that. I think Alex on autos is the only one who does thorough reviews like this. Awesome video I’m subscribing to your channel now
Wow Bruce thank you so much for that! I'm always torn going into this much detail but I know the people that appreciate the finer details will like it. Appreciate you subscribing and hope that you love the Explorer ST when you pick yours up!
Very informative, take delivery today. This video has really helped to know how to use the options, due to Covid restrictions this covers what the dealer can't due to health restrictions. Only thing missing is memory seat programming and sync to each key for memory seat. Well done.
Thanks so much for the kind words Tim, hope you enjoyed the first day in the new ride! Appreciate you pointing those out, I'll add it to the list of things to cover off in a video update
Appreciated and that's awesome Ken! I'm sure you're loving the power in it! Not sure if you've done work to any of your cars before but the guys at Palm Beach dyno added a new intercooler with some great results - ua-cam.com/video/74xdCkOQbUs/v-deo.html
@@CarsWithSteve my last ecoboost went 11.5 on it's best day, so this one will for sure be getting some bolt ons and a tune very soon! I love how the front end comes up on these when you get into it.
Steve. Great videos. I’ve had my 2021 Explorer ST and love it. I saw one one of your videos how to customize the screen when in Apple play on how to pick the icons you want to display. I have a music icon that is always present, and would like to replace it with another, more used icon. Thanks. Jerry
Appreciate that Jerry! Great to hear that you're loving yours so far as well. On your iPhone go to Settings --> General --> CarPlay Select your car and then drag and drop!
Thanks Robbie! The blue looks sharp.. and I have to say that I'm not a fan of red but I saw one of these in Rapid Red with tinted windows and the ST Street Pack and it looked really really good
What does ST stand for on the Explorer or even on the edge? And what is the use for rear seat occupants? I know it's not for if someone breaks into your vehicle. Lol!!! 😂 Again, I'm still learning because I work at a dealership.
The ST stands for sports technologies - in some racing circles it’s sport tuned instead The rear occupant alert is to remind the driver to check the back seats to make sure that a child or pet wasn’t left back there
I wish they redesign the center stack to better integrate the vertical screen like on the Ram, I also wish they replace the knob by an actual shifter, like on the high-end F-150s. It also needs sport pedals and a performance exhaust, and a stitched dash like on the Platinum.
Hey Kheireddine! I feel that with the Sync4 screen in the 2021 F150 and what's available in the Mache there will be a bigger push towards the larger, vertical screens in the future. I miss the shifter as well but with the move to electric the likelihood of the traditional shifter making a comeback is slim. Definitely agree with you on some of the extras in the ST. It would absolutely make sense to have sportier pedals and different exhaust. Could you imagine if Ford threw the Active Valve from the Mustang into this? That's where the after market world will have to jump in for now!
@@CarsWithSteve I always liked Ford cars, my childhood dream was to own a Ford GT40 or a red Mustang convertible (1965-66). Beside the Mustang, I own a 1997 Thunderbird LX Sport V8 since January 2004, with 143,000 km, still drives like new ua-cam.com/video/HeNEIDk42ik/v-deo.html

Hi, I attached a bike rack to the hitch and when I went to backup, it severely put the breaks on. How can this be turned off or how is this issue handled? A huge thank you for showing me where the spare tire is!!!!!!!!! I made a video and sent it to my salesperson. 😉
Hey! Sounds like the bike hitch is making the reverse brake assist kick in. If you disable that feature through the Sync3 media screen you shouldn’t run into that problem again. I believe it’s under Driver Assistance settings
You got it! It’s a great system for that “just in case” scenario. It’s like having rain sensing wipers.. great to use 99% of the time until you go through a car wash and they go nuts
Hey Steve. Great video. I do have aquestion that nobody has be able to answer. Let's see how good you are. How can i put the explorer in a mode that keeps the radio on but nothing else. Specifically used when going to a drive in movie with the family.
Thanks Jonathan, appreciate that. Hmm curious... are you thinking having the car turned off and just the radio going? What other features are you trying to have off while the radio is going?
@@jonathanc.6925 A drive in mode would be pretty cool! So a temp solution would be to turn off the car when you get there which would leave the radio going as long as doors aren't opened. Or you could hit the push button start without pressing the brake to give the car power - still just a temp solution and both would lead to battery drainage. Could look at staying idle for 30 mins (you can turn that 30 min max idle off) but would chew through gas. You could cycle through turning it on idle for 30 mins at a time then running on battery power! The best way would be to go old school.. get a portable AM/FM radio and then a battery powered speaker like a BOSE ;)
