Can I fit 4 wheels/tires in the caged Golf RS?

- The Golf RS isn't the most convenient hatchback out there...the Recaro wingbacks don't fold very well and most of the cargo space is disrupted by this Studio RSR half cage. I decide to try fitting a full set of wheels and tires into the car anyway.

I daily drove a caged Mk4 for 3 years. Definitely do-able, notsure how practical. Word of advice, if you even have a passenger willing to climb into the back seat. Make sure to get some foam padding for the cage. While driving spirited by buddy got a nice lump on his head.
Oh boy 😆😆 yeah not super practical but I can get away with fitting most stuff I normally would need to. A buddy of mine suggested sitting back there and I was like uhh that sounds like a lot of fun but NOT a good idea 😅 that's good advice about at least putting some foam on the bars
That little rubber grommet you pointed to asking what that was is where you feed the Mk5 R32 battery cable to do a rear mounted battery with OEM parts.
Thanks Bryan. If you mean the part when I said "that's nasty" and was looking at something on the driver side, then na I was just trying to figure out what the gross little thing on top of the grommet was lol. I didn't know that about the grommet though... I'm surprised the battery cables go through that grommet considering the R32 battery tray goes on the passenger side (opposite side of that grommet)
@@FAZEDTom the cable crosses the body of the car right where it pops through goes into a small junction box and then back to the box. There is a stud on the side where you battery is mounted for the ground closer to the back seat.
@@FAZEDTom ive relocated the battery to the rear battery box on my a3, i can send you some photos of the parts and where the parts go on insta if you like?
I can send pictures as well.
Insert the little screw driver into the back latch, simulate the striker latch. Then gently close the hatch. Then you can freely get into the back without hassle. Then use the handle or inside thing to unlock it for normal use.
So you mean I can leave the screwdriver in there then use the hatch handle normally as if it's unlocked?
Its hard to explain. Hold screw driver lateral, insert into latch so it locks the back hatch latch and then gently close the hatch. I do this at work on doors and trunks that I don't want to latch when im working on the body panels.
If I could send a video I would. It would help. Im bad a explaining stuff.
When are you doing the led interior vid??
Hey probably in a couple weeks!
