You should be able to do the swap. Only thing is the ratio for the diffs are different between the automatic and manual genesis coupes. Check the genesis coupe forum. There is information about the diffs on it.
I have the same 5speed auto. Dont car much about the lsd but how are the bushings in terms of improvements?? Also I'm not sure if u may or may not know is there a away to replace the transmission mount on these things( I know manual is everywhere but i dont know if the mount is similar)
I heard that was for the solid metal bushing and they start to crack the subframe. As for these mount they area hardened delrin with aluminum sleeves. Almost a year with them and so far it's good. I took off the 4th mount as it was making too much drivetrain noise.
@@envyous6953 still a bit of noise at highway speeds but that could be due to my lsd as I never had that noise til I installed the lsd. But removing the 4th mount reduced the noise by a lot. It could vary based on your setup as well. Due to my diff there was noise. As for these mounts, they are like a stronger rubber than oem. I know there is the solid metal mounts but those will destory the subframe depending on how you drive. Then again it's a try at your own risk type thing.
@@envyous6953 did you ever end up doing the ATQ kit? I just ordered another OEM bushing to toss in the 4th slot but still may do the ATQ kit down the road because I will be reinforcing the subframe... so it'll either be the ATQ kit for the plate they have or me DIY welding plates on myself lol
I have a 2013 2.0t and i just bought à lsd diff from à 2013 3.8 is any canadian tire garage can really do that kind of swap ???I find it really cool that the let you film the swap would i be better off just renting à garage lift else-where
How it performs till this day? Is it good enought? Or ATQs kit is better
Within the first 2 minutes I could tell you guys are from the GTA hahaha
Lot of rust under there, but thanks for the video!
nice!
You guys on the east coast?
What's the part number for the mount bolts?
Will upgrading ur diff make ur car effective on top end when roll racing
Depends top end wise you want 3.73 or 3.53 gears
Top end it shouldn’t do anything tbh. The diff upgrade is needed for launches in first
is it an automatic or manual, i have an open diff 2.0 bk1 5 speed automatic. do you know if i can do such a swap

@@bradbird8913 automatic mount is different then manual transmission. The mounts make the diff really stiff you hear more noise from the drivetrain.
I heard about harder bushings cracking the subframe?? Idk if this is true or not, I’m trying to find out.

Appreciate they reply, I was actually scared of installing these or selling them & get the ATQ kit. Did you tried anything to reduce the noise?

So how much did it cost to get it done, im thinking of getting one for my whip.
The lsd is a bit expensive to get. The mounts go for around 150.
@@JustRandomCars ok so the LSD you got, how would you rate the performance of it, any noticeable difference from stock to performance.
There is a big difference when going around the corner and feels more responsive.
