Great video this helped me decide that im gunna take it to a shop for this job so it can be done on a lift and not try to do it myself so definitely very helpful 👍
@@mastertech6049 Consider making a gallery gasket video since they're also a common VQ fault. I am likely going to change mine as a preventative measure soon as I am at 150k miles now with no clue if the previous owner changed it. If it is anything like doing the valve cover gaskets on my buddies G35 then I am in for an adventure.... That was a 1 day job turned to an entire weekending when we realized what all we were going to have to remove just to get the fucking valve covers off.
@@mastertech6049 disregard the fuck out of my last comment! I just seen you already have the gallery gasket video...very nice, I am subbed now so I can watch those later
I appreciate the video good job on that part but if you used a little bit of heat on subframe would have made your life easier and put your new bush in the freezer if you do it this way you can actually fit these by hand with out hammers or zawsaw and pure grunt lol good video and will help these that are trying to learn about there car keep it up 👍
Kind of off content question, with the diff out, are you able to access any of the hoses going to the fuel tank? Good job on the bushing replacement. Bookmarked for some of the future work on my car
i used an air hammer and a 5 lb sledge to get mine out. getting the new bushing in wasn't much better. same sledge with a block of wood beating it in even straight out of the freezer
My mechanic installed my rear z1 poly diff bushing but it pokes out towards the rear of car by about 3-4mm, not flat to the surface of the frame. Is this going to be an issue? Thx
thnx..still. but i have contacted Z1 Motor, and Whiteline, and they BOTH, did not give a solid YES. i am not sure what to do now.!! AND I do not want to replace it with the same INFINI-THEIF..oem one. INFINI-THEIF want over $$3000 to do this job.
when i did mine. i didn't use my arms. i got in to the right position . to use my legs. more muscle mas . took me 15 minutes . But i,m a little guy . plus did it on my own
Im was inspecting my differential because I noticed greasy oil substance coming from top end and both axel sides of differential. Cleaned it and checked it but feels dry. Has anyone had this happen? Also notice that back bushing is cracked and ready to be changed 😅

Good choice
TBH SAWZAW, DRILL, HAMMER AND CHIZZEL 30 min max on DIFF BUSHING💪🏽
😂😂😂
damn you are making me dread the shit out of this... great video, I respect the honesty in how much this clearly sucks to do.
it is a very annoying job, other videos make it look easy. It’s not !!!

U can do it
Wish I could do this job, my subframe is flaking off on a '13 living in the salt belt. I'd break every nut and bolt... Very good tutorial.
Thanks
Put the bushings in the freezer overnight. It shrinks the bushing making the install a whole lot easier
not polyurathane
You get any noise with those bushings?
not at all
Do you have to grease the polyurethane subframe and differential bushings before install and I do not thin WD40 has ben made for this.
you can put silicone grease
Getting the old one out was easy, getting the new one in straight was a bit$%
hahahah
I watched Rainman Ray do this in a regular shop with a lift and he had a tough time doing it with all his power tools. Not an easy job.
I was just going to say, Shoulda watched Ray
Yeah he was using the tool incorrectly
He was using the tool wrong and also I think went in sideways

You slide the frozen bushing while the frame is hot? Did i get that right? Cause im struggling rn
Pretty helpful, and pretty funny. Thanks.

Good job on the bushing replacement. Bookmarked for some of the future work on my car
I actually didn't noticed, but I'm pretty sure its a bit easier to access with the diff off
@@mastertech6049 just trying to not have to drop the whole rear cradle if I don't have to...I have a vent hose or filler that is cracked or loose.
Hey btw the install manual says not to use the oem washers for the two front mounts
Yeah I know

Don’t put polyurethane in a freezer
These are easy as F.
Good ass video , helped guide me with installing z1 Polly bushings
Thanks man

I decided to go with SIKKY solid bushings and they've been one of the best decisions I ever made on my car. Do it once and never worry about it again.
where you located mind lending me your diff bushing removal tool lmao
Cali
Are you still renting this tool out in Cali ? i'm in 408 area.@@mastertech6049

this is a great video. thnx. I have a infiniti suv, do you know if this diff bushing will fit the fx35 2009?
not sure, do your research on that one

(Cleaned it and checked a day later ) now feels dry.
@@dennisharvey9894 slowly leaking from the diff, if it smells nasty, it’s the diff fluid
@@mastertech6049 it didn’t really have a smell at all.
@@dennisharvey9894 ok not sure tbh
so, the rear dif bushing is filled with liquid silicone from the factory, if that bushing is torn, what you seen might have been the silicone.
