Well done sir. 2.0t guys need to see this.
Thanks for continuing to make genesis content !
Cant wait to get my kit
Thank you Sam
Hey there! so I have a BK2 automatic with new aftermarket connecting rod and pistons basically everything new except the camshaft. Am I allowed to use the Arashi TD06SL2-AR3 (500 hp) Ball bearings? Which one do you recommend using IF I want to push 500 hp if possible, hopefully? What intercooler do you recommend also and fuel injectors? Can you please let me know what I need to do or what parts I need to have? thank you!
Do you need a new O2 housing pipe or you can use the stock for a bigger turbo
I recently installed my turbo using your assembly video and install videos, however I’m having issues with my 2 coolant lines leaking, I have uninstalled a couple times and tightened the crap out of the fittings plus i even tried Teflon tape as well and nothing is working. I’m starting to think the lines are defective. Please help any recommendations would help.
Ball bearing vs journal bearing turbos? Which would you recommend
I did it in 4 hours with half a clue LOL and then drove across country.
I think I did it right.
Do you have a tune already made for this turbo setup?
With this kit what do you recommend to upgrade to get 350-400 hp? I'm getting a 2014 2.0t and thinking of getting this kit plus a canned tune for it since I'm not close to any tuner for this platform. Asking before I get the kit so I can install everything all at once turbo kit, tune, and whatever else you recommend I get to support the tune for that power range whether it be fuel injectors or pump or bov or boost controller. Would like to get in touch with you on this matter and get your advice and I can purchase everything from your site. Thank you for your time and awesome video.
Did u ever found out what u need
What optima battery do you have! 😮
What size is the 90° elbow ?
I had a question, So the boost source that’s on the turbo goes to the boost controller and T’s to the block off plate so then what goes on the swivel nipple on the actuator and what does it connect to?
we are in process of editing the boost controller video. it should be up later this week that will explain this better. Sometime text can get confusing.
@@BTRcarcustoms Sounds Good I Can’t wait! I also like how you make these drop in turbo kits and videos making it super easy to install for people who’ve never done them before. I feel like not many people do that for their community and it’s well appreciated!!
Hey so I’m think of getting this kit but I’m very uneducated on cars I won’t lie and I can’t find anything that helps but what would I have to do to the transmission(manual) in order to run this kit or will a stock trans hold this power?
hi if you have a 2010-12, you would most likely need a clutch / flywheel upgrade, for 13-14 stock clutch will hold the power
What do you do with the electronic wastegate since this one doesnt seem to use it? Just take it out?
Yep , tuning removes the code related to it as well
When receiving the turbo do we have to prime it? I heard of it but don’t know nothing about it. Does that come already done like you said,” pre-assembled.”
Priming is for oil. yes you do have to. its simple to do
just disconnect the fuel injectors and crank the car a few times before you initially start the car
this allows the oil pump to pump oil through the turbo before you actually start the car
@@BTRcarcustoms thank you so much for information. Also would you happen to know a second method? The more you know, you know.
So which turbo kit is this exactly. On your site there is a bunch of options on which turbo to chose . I have aftermarket injen exhaust O2 housing and turbo xs fmic. So I was looking to push 400whp.
So for manuals we recommend the td06sl2-ar3 ball bearing.
For automatics td05-gt3071r ball bearing is the recommended size.
Perfect will check it out on the website
You should do a video for the 3.8 BK2 to make 400whp

@@BTRcarcustomshi how mach it turbo kit BK2
@@rudychay8742 hi the link is in the descriptions
Where are you located? You seem so knowledgeable I would love it if you worked on my car 🙏
Hi we are in northwest suburbs of Chicago.
STOCK ECU?
Got my self a BK1 just this week, and it's gonna be mostly in daily use but I look forward to tuning on it.
What mods would you say are enough to get about 280whp out of it?
Also, almost all petrol stations here have 100+ (E5) octane petrol, which would be equivalent to 97 in the US rating, and I was already only using that in my previous car so I would have it mapped to that fuel.
The oem turbo is not going to achieve that unfortunately so you will need a turbo upgrade. A 16G would be good size for your power goal
@@BTRcarcustoms thanks for the advice
If you big turbo don't daily it
Can the block handle this much power stock?
Yes this is meant for stock block
Do you guys have any videos of BK1s on the dyno with this kit?
Next opportunity we have we will make a video. Bk1 you can expect around 350-370 whp on the manual and around 260-280whp on the auto
Can pls link bk1
Id get this kit if it came with a tune, its hard finding a tuner around me
Check out AlphaX standalone ecu, we can remote tune those for you. Also if you have a bk2 we do have a canned tune
CAN YOU PLS SEND VIDEO FOR BK1 , AND WHAT NEED TO BIG TURBO
How much hp/tq can the bk2 block actually handle?
Also what are the weak points?
We have done nearly 100+ bk2.0 manual transmission at 400 whp and automatic at 370 whp with no issues
@@BTRcarcustoms nice, what’s required for 450whp?
@@zeoh4371 more fuel and either a laggy turbo or a engine build with a peppy turbo
@@BTRcarcustoms working on the engine build now. 20g turbo on a bk1 but it’s 206k miles on the motor. It needs to be rebuilt with forged internals. I’d like to buy a crate built engine but I don’t see anyone selling them.
@@zeoh4371 not sure of anyone selling prebuilt engines but we do sell the parts you need to build your own
Are the Exceladyne turbo kits worth the money? My goal for my 2013 2.0 genesis is to make 500hp
We don’t sell that kit.
Oh okay, but what your opinion on the Exceladyne turbo kits. Are they good or not really?
@@isaiasorellana5161 sorry we aren’t ones to comment on a product we don’t sell. There is a reason why most people run our kits though. It’s perfect drop in for the stock engine and has multiple turbo options to meet different power goals and spool rates
Oh okay I understand
Can you pass smog if you upgrade the turbo ??
If you use the bk1 primary catalytic converter the car will pass the obd ii test
Do i need to upgrade the injectors with this kit?
On the bk1 yes. Bk2 no
Will this fit on a 5.0L v8 genesis
Dude no the hell?
This goes on a stock bottom end??
Yes
@@BTRcarcustoms whats the price?
@@ThirteenToOne link is in the description!
i’m planning on buying this turbo kit and you said in the bk2 build video that you need a bk1 o2 housing. So will the stock o2 housing not fit?
Thats correct bk2 housing will not fit
@@BTRcarcustoms appreciate it. Also in that video you did a catback exhaust system. What parts on your website would I use to make my 2013 2.0T genny into a straight piped exhaust system
@@user-hf2hr3ku1j you can use bk1 o2 housing, downpipe , test pipe and finish it off with isr race exhaust
@@BTRcarcustoms thanks appreciate the help💪🏽
@@BTRcarcustoms One more question I want to still stiaght pipe it but keep the resonators to keep some back pressure. So what should I buy now
Can i fit a turbo blanket on this set up
