Went on the last tour of the night in 2021, I caught the janitor in a picture down in his room in the basement. Caught him in the bathroom mirror, love this place so much! It is truly beautiful ❤
He did make violins. Back in the early 80s, my mother and I attended a concert in the music room of the Stanley. 2 students from university of Northern Colorado were performing with 2 of the violins he made. It was beautiful. Thank you for this video. I remember the Stanley going way back to the mid 60s. It was really grand then.
Me and wife stayed at a large haunted bed and breakfast in Saratoga NY and there was a snow storm so everyone else had cancelled so we were the only ones there. It was around holidays so it was pretty but def extra creepy.
I stayed in the Stanley before the renovations and it definitely had more of a creepy vibe. Glad you got to stay there! I adore Estes! Glad you’re enjoy CO! Definitely go stay at The Timberline Lodge, where the filming took place!
Hi Jacob and Jen 😊my husband and I must go to the hotel! I read the book but have not seen the movie. After listening to you I have to watch the movie! You are a great narrator. Thank you for taking us along. 😊
Hey Jacob, you guys are about 45 minutes up the road from me, I'm in Loveland, Co., I don't know if u heard, the first Colorado Buc-ee's in Johnstown grand opening was yesterday, its off the I-25 and the 60, you guys should definitely check it out while you are here. I haven't been there yet, too crazy busy for me, I might go at midnight tonight. I watch you and Adam the Woo every single day.
Good morning; I love you two so much. ❤. You guys are so cute together and I love Jen. She reminds me. I’m always klutzy and getting into stuff that I shouldn’t and running into things.😮🥴. I enjoy your post videos. Thank you for sharing you take care and have a great safe day. Keep up the good work.❤️🫶🏻🤠
Morning Jenny Penny and Jacob. Awesome to see you both in the video. Thanks for sharing this.🤓🤓📸✌️ The Stanley hotel would be great to see in person. I would stay overnight there, it maybe expensive for one night.
May I, for a moment, change the focus of our story today. A young couple decides to go on vacation and bring their young son with them. They decide to drive to the Stanley Hotel. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration crosses the young wife's face. "Ooh, let's bring along little Mortimer's tricycle!" she says. "That'd be so great!" The young husband gazes upon his lovely wife. "That's why I fell in love with you," he tells her.
In the Book he hits the kid while drunk long before ever going to the hotel. The movie didn’t make him violent it is in the first few chapters of the book king wrote himself. He is just changing his story over time to hide his own issues.
I think that too. I think this story shows so much more. When people are isolated for mong periods the shadows of them selfs will show up. All those things they have pushed down will go up to the surface. I think this story showe that so well. I have a hypthesis of this movie. I see A guy who wants to give a shining. To look like a grate father, husband and writer. But he actually wants to party all night an meet other men.
My wife and I stayed there 10 or so years ago and they had a channel with The Shining playing all night. Great movie to fall asleep to while we stayed there!
237 could be a closet or laundry room. I know in some of my college dorms, they would use higher numbers for closets, laundry, and the toilet and shower rooms in my freshman dorm (it has a weird layout)
The mini series is great definitely get a copy, I think the hotel sells copies, at least when I was there. It really features the hotel and I remember watching the series with my mom when it came out and I would dream of visiting that hotel one day. The actors who play Jack and Wendy are good, Jack isn't as intense lol.
You should visit the croak Patterson mansion in Denver has a list of haunted past. We used to drive by it as kids and would always see ghost and stuff. Now it’s a bed and breakfast. Would recommend seeing if you are still in Colorado
Hello Carpet Bagger! Jenn throwing snow balls at you and you calling her mean was funny! I was laughing out loud! I have actually watched parts of the Steven King's version of The Shining mini series. Anyway You and Jenn are great together.
How completely fun. Now I want to read the book too! I think I'd like that story better! I really love the green bathtub. I would totally fit in that thing. But spooky, and the number of people who have done weird things in that room would freak me out. I love the things in the gift shop made from the print of the movie carpet. Very beautiful place.
The croquet mallet vs the ax is similar to another Steven King novel made into a movie: Misery. In the movie she wrecks dude's feet with a sledgehammer, but in the book she uses an ax to cut one of his feet full off.
🤣🤣🤣 I loved when Jen started singing “it’s Electric “, the Electric slide dance song.. lol. Hey Jacob and Jen, thank you for sharing another one of your great adventures.. creeped me out when i saw my name on the pet cemetery grave stone 😮😮
Thanks for showing this. I have always liked this movie and people still talks about the shining. The acutall shining is the shine the protsgonist behaviour. He pretends to be someone he isn't and the isolation makes him "explode". I have my hypothesis about this movie. The protsgonist (played by Jack Nicholson) is secetrely loving men. He is just having a wife and a kid just because society wants him to do that. When he gets isolated and stressed his shadowpersona tskes over. He actually wants to party, drink and meet other men. But he haves his responsibilities to be a husband, father and an authour. He is pushed from every way and he freaks out. In one scene close to the ending, for some secounds, you can see two men being intimate. They have masks on them. This small glimps in the moovie gave me an A + in movie analysis. It was forbidden for a man to love a other man in these times and to even think about it. I think staley wanted to tell us something more with this movie. For me It's a story about what isolation could pull out of persons anf how much a person could hide from him self and those close to him untill it all brakes. Just like the blood from the elevstors.
A hotel that old has surely seen its share of violence and death, most have, considering the constant turnover of people and transient nature of the atmosphere
That is an awesome hotel. I had understood that the inspiration for the shining also stemmed from a ghostly encounter Stephen King had that sent him from the hotel during the night. I would love to visit the Stanley. I do remember the mini series . I was enjoying it but it disappeared suddenly before it seemed finished . I found it was awesome . Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
Hilarious skit guys, you fooled me! Jenn played a meanie and scared me.
Jenn, you nailed the scene with Jack Torrance. Great job!
Went on the last tour of the night in 2021, I caught the janitor in a picture down in his room in the basement. Caught him in the bathroom mirror, love this place so much! It is truly beautiful ❤
Jen looks so good. You can tell she is getting healthy 🤗🥰
The maze was filmed in London on a soundstage.
❤❤😂😂😂the laptop skit was superb❤❤❤
Just the drive up to the hotel is amazing!
indeed
There's one thing about CO, it is very bright when the sun is out! Haven't been there with snow but I'm sure its blinding! 😎
My friend is a night watchman here. I’ve always wanted to see a tour of the place! Thanks for the video.
OMG who else was fooled by Jenn's performance for a second....I was so shocked 🤯👏👏👏
Me! I fell for it 100%!!!
This looks like a fun video to watch. The mountains in the background look incredible.
I love to see this wonderful heartwarming relationship between you and Jenn❤️
Jen has an awesome throwing arm and great aim! 😂😂😂 She really got you with the snowballs! 😀
Jen is a very convincing Jack Torrance 😂😂
Ps this is one of my favorite videos, love you guys❤
Jen wanting to kick the kid on the bike had me laughing forever lol what a fun adventure you guys had!
Love Jenn's nails so art deco to match the scary bathroom colours, which is definitely Art Deco style, as is the fabulous elevator!!! Classy!!!
He did make violins. It was beautiful. Thank you for this video. I remember the Stanley going way back to the mid 60s. It was really grand then.
If the schedule allows, October is great for the haunted tour of the hotel and grounds. It’s really fun.
From the opening approach shots (LOL), I knew this would be a great video!
Me and wife stayed at a large haunted bed and breakfast in Saratoga NY and there was a snow storm so everyone else had cancelled so we were the only ones there. It was around holidays so it was pretty but def extra creepy.
Jen is the best part of this video, I love her throwing snowballs at you.
Jen, you look amazing.
love you and jen together so cute
I stayed in the Stanley before the renovations and it definitely had more of a creepy vibe. Glad you got to stay there! I adore Estes! Glad you’re enjoy CO!
Definitely go stay at The Timberline Lodge, where the filming took place!
Kayla and I did the haunted tour there a few years ago. 100% worth the trip.
The Over Look. Way cool! thank you, Jacob and Jen . The renactment scene was really good. Lol. Thanks.
JENS QUITE PERSONALITY. I LAUGH SO HARD WHEN SHE SAID JACK NICKLESON WAS OFF WALL RIGHT FROM BEGINNING. SO FUNNY. .
Love the Stanley. Stayed there during a snow storm two years ago and it felt like being in the Shining.
Hi Jacob and Jen 😊my husband and I must go to the hotel! I read the book but have not seen the movie. After listening to you I have to watch the movie! You are a great narrator. Thank you for taking us along. 😊
Great video😮Jen could be an actress❤😂
You guys are so cute together! Great video!!
NO TV AND NO BEER MAKE HOMER GO CRAZY!!!!
Lulz....so true

I enjoy your post videos. Thank you for sharing you take care and have a great safe day. Keep up the good work.❤️🫶🏻🤠
I agree with you, Kubrik's version of The Shining is one of the best horror movies ever made.
Yes!!!!!
Morning Jenny Penny and Jacob. Awesome to see you both in the video. Thanks for sharing this.🤓🤓📸✌️ The Stanley hotel would be great to see in person. I would stay overnight there, it maybe expensive for one night.
I took a tour here! I loved it. Estes Park is one of my favorite places here in Colorado.
"That'd be so great!"
The young husband gazes upon his lovely wife. "That's why I fell in love with you," he tells her.
"This maze isn't for snowballs, Jen! It's for killing your family!" XD
Great video. This place is amazing. Thank you for sharing this. The tour looked real good too.

Stephen King can say what he wants about Kubrick's movie, but he can't deny the kind of influence it's had.
Stephen King makes bad, long and drawn out movies. Kubrick is a genius of cinema! Stephen needs to stick to only writing 😅 thats his genius! ❤
Also, Doctor Sleep is a pretty good movie, as is the book. With Ewan McGregor as a grown up Danny Torrance.
Longmont, CO is where my boyfriend has family ... So cool you all were there.
Great video, Jacob. ❤. Tell Jen I like her shirt. 👕
All Jacob and Jenn videos make Matt a happy boy
Love Jen playing snow balls with you 😂😂😂😂😂
What a amazing place ! Beautiful hotel ! You both had a ball ! Love it !
Jenn is cute as a button! 😊 I love how much fun ya'll have together. Great pair! ❤
Ya'll have fun 😃
We will be there later this week.
My wife and I stayed there 10 or so years ago and they had a channel with The Shining playing all night. Great movie to fall asleep to while we stayed there!
Perhaps an 84º hotel room may help explain Jack Torrance's behavior... I mean I can't say I'd be chasing people with an ax, but it'd be close.
One of my fave places to visit. Loved the video thanks for all you do to bring us along.
237 could be a closet or laundry room. I know in some of my college dorms, they would use higher numbers for closets, laundry, and the toilet and shower rooms in my freshman dorm (it has a weird layout)
You guys are hilarious. I'm glad nobody broke into your room with an axe. 😊
Love the video Jen is so funny Should have her in more of your videos Great job
LOOK MOVIE is great! so far its been safe and has everything i have searched for even 50s movies
The mini series is great definitely get a copy, I think the hotel sells copies, at least when I was there. *definitely
Such a beautiful place! ❤
I live here in Colorado. I love that place. It said guests only upstairs. Something told me to go up stairs. So I did.
You should visit the croak Patterson mansion in Denver has a list of haunted past. We used to drive by it as kids and would always see ghost and stuff. Now it’s a bed and breakfast. Would recommend seeing if you are still in Colorado
Very nice of you Jacob to pretend you saw a boy on a tricycle just to keep Jen calm. But you and I both know she has the ability to "Shine"😅. ❤
Hello Carpet Bagger! Jenn throwing snow balls at you and you calling her mean was funny! I was laughing out loud! I have actually watched parts of the Steven King's version of The Shining mini series. Anyway You and Jenn are great together.
Awesome video of you Jacob and Jenn keep up the awesome work and be safe out there and I'm glad you are having a great time with your family
Love Jen's outfit. Love that Grey top.
Jen looks amazing in the gray outfit! That style is super cute!!! Great video with both of you as always!
Did you see bunny man he he red rim red rum lol
Just started watching Via the Woo! im now Subscribed!
They should create a haunt there, have people running around at night and screaming...
They make winterized crocs.
Fun video and great information on the hotel and the movie.
The croquet mallet vs the ax is similar to another Steven King novel made into a movie: Misery. In the movie she wrecks dude's feet with a sledgehammer, but in the book she uses an ax to cut one of his feet full off.
Jen is losing so much weight ❤
🤣🤣🤣 I loved when Jen started singing “it’s Electric “, the Electric slide dance song.. lol. Hey Jacob and Jen, thank you for sharing another one of your great adventures.. creeped me out when i saw my name on the pet cemetery grave stone 😮😮

Very Kewl!
My aunt was snowed in there with Motley Crew back in the 80"s.
I actually have a dvd cooy of the newer addition of The Shining.
Love the long intro. Thanks!!!! ♥♥♥♥
lol, I got Jen’s, “it’s electric “.
When I was a kid I accidentally but my hand on an electric fence. I barely noticed it. It was just light pulsing through my hand.
Thanks for showing this. I have always liked this movie and people still talks about the shining. The acutall shining is the shine the protsgonist behaviour. He pretends to be someone he isn't and the isolation makes him "explode".

Did Jen lose weight? She’s looking fantastic 💃🏻💃🏻😍😍🤩
😂All work and no play makes Jen a dull girl.. 😂 You two are the best.. You didn't see the twins at the end of the hall, did you? 😬🥶
That is hilarious about the little kid on the tricycle! Ha ha ha!!
Suddenly I have a craving to watch the Shining.😂, love your Videos.
You are sooo right about the layout if the Hotel not making sense, n some of the hallways ARE CREEPY!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger n Jenn.
Hotels are where you open your door to a hallway. Motels are where you open your door and are outside.
great acting Jenn! scared me... lol
She’s looking fabulous and beautiful 🤩
Really enjoyed this adventure - what fun! 👻
A hotel that old has surely seen its share of violence and death, most have, considering the constant turnover of people and transient nature of the atmosphere
Beautiful hotel😊Oh no, their first fight.!😮
Hi Jacob and Jennifer 🙋🏽. You are some really brave people 😅
I know this sounds weird, but watching the Shining relaxes me,,,lol
That is an awesome hotel. I had understood that the inspiration for the shining also stemmed from a ghostly encounter Stephen King had that sent him from the hotel during the night. I would love to visit the Stanley. I do remember the mini series . I was enjoying it but it disappeared suddenly before it seemed finished . I found it was awesome . Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
I love both the Kubrick version and the mini series….you definitely need to watch it!
Oh man this is gonna be a good one
