I stayed there for a week for a New Year's Eve party in 1995 on the top floor. After all was done and hotel got quiet, we heard children running up and down the halls, but nothing was there. We started down the stairs to ask if there were children and suddenly heard the piano playing but the room was empty and dark. My family and I just went a couple days ago, but only did a tour and wanted to make it down the mountain before it got dark. But we do plan on actually staying at the hotel as we are out of the state. Their acoustics in the building is very loud. But the hotel definitely plays to the belief that it’s haunted. Which is smart on them I mean, I’m sure they’re making good money that being said, I don’t doubt some strange stuff that goes on there! I feel like the most, the energies around it is good… But you could definitely feel where people would have some negative energies as well… Looking back I’m a little creeped out on it but while we were there, my family and I didn’t really feel all creeped out. But again, like I said we were only there during the day. We didn’t stay there at night, and I’m sure with all the noise bouncing around on the walls, they probably come into the bedrooms pretty easily as well. However, if there’s no kids there and your kids run around, that’s a little strange!
My girlfriend and I stumbled across Trent while he was filming this video at the Stanley. Super cool guy! The only paranormal thing we saw was how he keeps his hair so luscious while staying in his van.

We heard piano, laughing, talking, clinking glasses, etc. when checking out in the morning, we casually told the desk clerk there must have been a nice party last evening. He responded that there was no such party, and the lobby was empty all night.

We went there last summer! The tour guide told us that Jim Carrey stayed in the Stephen king room (when they were filming dumb and dumber) and he left two hours later to go to the holiday inn because he felt so creeped out. Apparently Elizabeth (the lady ghost) isn’t fond of unmarried people sharing a bed. Jim Carey had a waitress in there with him and that’s why he left because he felt a presence there. The tour guide also told us that unmarried couples (she knows if you’re wearing a ring) who sleep there together feel a presence pushing them apart from each other in the bed.

U didn't say something offensive and just stated facts and you have good mannerism, and that can be 1 of the reason that ghost, spirit or whatever you want to call it doesn't disturb you. Dude your cinematography is absolutely incredible. I also dig that you add a realism to “paranormal” investigations. This video was a treat to watch brother
@@visionsmagazineonlin cinematography is camera work. Which was what I was crediting. Not special effects. Which people are allowed to use if they want to. It didn’t prove anything further lol
My husband and I stayed at the Stanley in 1984. We were on the 4th floor (gotta love that you only get to use the elevator once and the rest you hike up and down the stairs). The room was much smaller than yours and there were no night stands. The whole time we were in there it felt as if someone was watching you. The beds were up high and I put my drink on the carpet next to the bed. Imagine my surprise when I went to take a drink and the glass was knocked over.
We took our kids to The Stanley hotel when they were small, circa 2013 - just visiting for fun, sort of roaming around with the kids. We were newlyweds with a blended family - so maybe the four kids caught his attention... This manager dude approached us and just started to talk to me and my wife. We chatted for about 5 min, and then he was like "You guys want a tour?" then proceeding to give us our own personal tour of the place. He even let us into some closed off areas, and even left us alone in this banquet area at he end, It was pretty awesome. Showed us the "caves" just a tunnel where workers can pass through to the kitchen.
There's something about these old landmark hotels that permeate a strange otherworldly atmosphere. My mother use to work at the Chamberlain Hotel in Hampton, Virginia (now a retired living building). It's the site where Edgar Allan Poe stayed in a month before he died. The original hotel was used as a hospital in wartime, but later renovated to become a landmark hotel on the Bay. We actually lived there for a month while getting prepared to move overseas to Scotland. Incredibly creepy vibes as a child. You could feel the presence of history within its walls (and spirits, maybe). I'm a bit of a skeptic, but that place definitely had me on the fence of my skepticism. Moreso than when I visited Winchester Mystery House.
I live here in Hampton... going on 30+ years now. Chamberlain Hotel has been converted to a Senior Living Community (around 10+ years ago)! It's no longer a hotel :-( I remember going there to visit a great, great aunt before she passed... and walking in the hallways and going down in the exercise room I would get these creepy vibes.
I love that you don't freak over every noise and you try to explain why things are happening. I've watched other UA-camrs (you mentioned one channel) who scream over every little noise and are overacting for views. Thank you for a great video and I love the lightning in the background...perfect ambiance! And the hotel is beautiful.
Yes. I heard about her treatment while she was filming in The Shining. The Director liked to verbally abuse her so that he would get a better performance.
The Overlook Hotel in The Shining however was in Oregon not Colorado. Although the interior was a set in England. I enjoyed Shelly Duvalls performance and did not realize she had passed away.
This is one of my favorite spooky/creepy video on this platform. Just the vibe and atmosphere created by the editing and the additional storm. Chefs kiss.
You’re good at storytelling even when nothing happens. I enjoy your stylish filming style, using the wide angle lens, leading lines and tilts to invoke emotions. You’re very good at what you’re creating & we always enjoy watching. Looking forward to seeing what comes next 🤙🏽
I have a friend who worked as a ghost tour guide for a number of years at the Stanley and guests would send her copies of any interesting photos they got while on tour with her and there frequently was a little girl image near her. Always blurry, always the same little girl with braids, around six or seven years old. Your next haunted hotel should be the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It’s gorgeous and has a great story behind it. Should make for a great video.
Yes, glad to see someone mentioned it. I grew up in Arkansas and the crescent is not only gorgeous but has a terrifying history and is one of the most haunted hotels in the US! My grandfather stayed there and had an experience and was so scared he checked out in the middle of the night and went to stay in a diff hotel 😂
My daughters and I stayed at the Stanley and we had so much fun! A few things happened, got a voice saying “hi” on video and a mysterious man in a full tux with tails at the end of a hallway in a photo. Also the sheet was pulled off of me in the middle of the night. I was awake reading a book, laying on my side facing the wall when the sheet was jerked off of me, I turned over to see what was happening and my daughter was laying on the other bed frozen with her eyes as big as saucers staring at me. I said “did you see that?” And she slowly nodded her head yes. That was the spookiest thing that happened. So much fun!
I had worked at the Merchant house museum in NYC for 10 years. The house is definitely haunted. I experienced a lot there. Most people don't realize that majority of people are not going to experience paranormal activity in a haunted location. There were times when months would go by and I didn't experienced anything. I love this video because it shows the reality of paranormal investigation. He may go back and experience something. We can't expect to experience something all the time. I'm in love with his hair!! 😊
I'm from Boulder and I've been going to the Stanley my whole life. I've went up there ghost hunting many times. Place is definitely haunted. Next time you go stand outside of the concert hall at like 3:00 in the morning and you can hear an entire concert going on then you open the doors and nothing. Smells of rose water will all of a sudden hit you in the hallways, we've had some amazing things....doors slamming all kinds of stuff and most importantly we heard A woman's voice down in the underground tunnels because we snuck in and clear as day it sounded almost like a child it was so creepy we all went running.
I absolutely love your way of storytelling while walking down the hallway and into every other rooms. It really gives the viewers a real-time experience of what you have witnessed at the same time. Please please please never stop this genre!! ❤
Seriously you being excited about where you are at, is exciting. You don't need crazy ghost stuff, your personality, your genuine experience, and sharing it is wonderful. LOVED IT
That's the thing I like the most about you; you are authentic and honnest. You don't try to create buzz or stories to have more likes and views. We live the ''truth'' in your videos and I love that. Keep doing things that way :)
The foundation was actually designed to shift because the ground frequently moves there, which I think many sounds could be related to. Also supposedly the Stanley is haunted because people love it there so much so want to come back to visit. I certainly enjoyed visiting when I was passing through and got to take the day tour. At that time some floors were off limits due to construction when they were working on them. Even though I had to stay the night at a different hotel, it was still a breathtaking experience!
Not sure who told you that. The foundation is anchored solidly into the bedrock. I have seen it. And the ground does not move. This is not earthquake country.
Ps my theory is these old hotels have that hair raising vibe because many, many people have stayed there over years, adding kinetic energy to the walls, which store up energy abd reflect it back. All living beings have a very, low frequency kinetic electric energy. When events occur, like the maid nearly dying, creates an imprint and when energy is moving around, like weather events, it kinda releases it. Im a skeptic on actual ghosts being spirits, but my guess is here
217 is the address of my childhood home that was haunted. The house was my great-grandmother's house, I lived there off and on as a child growing up with my mother and siblings. It was a morgue in the 1800s and had a door on the side of the house that led directly to the basement. That is where the bodies were brought into the basement for storage. There were cement slabs coming from the walls, where they would put the bodies. When I was a child, I would hear and see some scary shi@ while I and my family slept upstairs. Now, the upstairs was pretty small. There was a very long, narrow wooden staircase that led to the upstairs, a small landing, then 2 doors that led to 2 bedrooms. The large bedroom had 3 beds in it. Me, my sister, my mom, and my brother all slept in this one room. I and my siblings were small, so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. My grandmother and great-grandmother slept in the other room. In the middle of the night, there was the sound of loud boots stomping up the stairs. The sound echoed through both rooms. Then, I could hear the footsteps right outside our door....then 3 loud knocks on our door. My mom yelled who is there? No answer. Mom asked again, with no answer. I then heard the loud boots stomping down the stairs. My mom went and checked, but there was nobody downstairs. We were really scared, so my great-grandma started to stay in the room with us. The footsteps and knocking happened 3 times, on the 3rd time, my great-grandmother grabbed her crucifix, flung open the door, and said, "Go away in the name of Jesus!" I saw a black shadow run down the stairs! It was really scary and will never forget it.
I had an old post card of the Stanley Hotel. I can't remember where I bought it, I live in Fresno California, and I likely bought it in a thrift store or antique shop. A pen pal I was writing to, lived near that hotel, and the guy she was staying with worked as an accountant at the Stanley. I sent her the post card of the Stanley, and she appreciated it. I think it's wild that you've got this video on that hotel.
Refreshing, actually that you didn't push it or make it seem like something was happening when it wasn't. You took the place at face value and let happen what was, or in this case, wasn't, going to happen. Appears to be a lovely place and I'm sure they appreciate the additional positive and balanced exposure...

We stayed at the Stanley hotel in room 203 next to the elevator. We heard an odd ticking sound near our bed ( not in the wall) on and off while we were in the room and a weird sound ( kind of a like a hum t where the tone rose a little then would it would stop and start again ) that would happen throughout the evening. Late at night, while we were in bed, something tucked me in the bed ( moved the sheets enough I woke up). Next morning I told the room that I really didn’t sleep well at all and that I knew whoever was there needed to do their thing but please would they stop at 10 pm so we could sleep. By gum, at 10pm it all stopped and didn’t start up again until 8 am. Too weird for words.
Hey! I live in Colorado and my name is Trent as well!! I don’t really meet that many others with the same name. It’s cool to come across someone on UA-cam who has the same name as me! Love yr channel! ✌🏻Thanks for this!
You’re very smart. You always go to these kinda places and record each and everything. Your camera is always open and that’s the reason ghosts are not attacking you because ghosts are allergic to cameras. They’re private creatures and don’t like public appearance.
I just started watching your videos and think you are doing a fantastic job. Being from Colorado, this one caught my eye. Your videos have an incredibly professional vibe and flow. Very unique. Anyway, safe travels and keep up the great work!
Nice vibe. You created a good ambience in your room. I worked at a five star hotel in London during the lockdown when the hotel was shut. The warm glow from the traditional lamps in the creepy corridor also reminded me of Stephen Kings 'Shining' movie. You're right getting scared is fun but I thinks it's more than that because it also helps us get rid of other fears and anxieties from our life when the oxytocin chemical lowers the adrenaline rush as though it cleanses our mind. It's a bit like how you felt when you woke up from that refreshing sleep which you didn't have for a long time. I love old horror movies from days when movies were real movies. In case you're wondering I am a European born national. I was born in Brugge, Belgium in 1975.
I lived in Estes Park for over 20 years. The Stanley is an amazing place! Saw lots of movies and TV shows/mini series filmed there. Never saw anything paranormal, but lots of zombies (tourists). The stanley, and the area, including Rocky Mountain National Park, is the most amazing place!
Sorry to be the voice of reason, but nothing happened to King when he and his wife stayed there. They stayed on the last night before the hotel closed for the winter, so they were alone. He was just inspired by the atmosphere. He had nightmares all his life but didn't have a nightmare about fire hoses coming to life. He just thought it would be a cool image. What's funny is the hotel didn't become "haunted " until after the success of King's novel. The Kubrick film was shot at Timberline Lodge, Mount Hood OR. The 1997 TV remake, with Steven Weber, was shot at the Stanley.
This room has that 1408 feel from the movie with John Cusack. That's the thing with a haunted place it could be a special day that triggers the supernatural. You can at least say you were there in person to experience something most people never have in real life! Your channel rocks, and I really enjoy the spooky stuff more than anything! Keep this stuff up we the viewers love it!

The opening scenes of The Shining were shot in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA. Timberline Lodge in Oregon was used for the exterior of Overlook Hotel. The interior scenes and some of the exterior scenes of the hotel took place at Elstree Film Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England, UK. Awesome video, a truly spectacular hotel.
I went here as of last year and was escorted to the old residential area, I walked into my room and found numerous knife stabs in the couch and broken things around the room. Very spooky would go back if I could thanks for posting!
Very nice! I am Retired now, but am a psychic empath, a teacher of metaphysics at College level (in the past)and studied for 8 years in NYC with a famous Spiritualist psychic who taught classes, and a result of these wonderful studies & experiences going to Lily Dale, NY..etc. I became a Spiritualist minister/teacher/psychic consultant. I love all things spooky/paranormal. You are very nice & honest, a good story teller in your own way! Thank you, Trent! Spirits don't always appear when you want them too so no worries! The Stanley hotel is a fantastic piece of architecture with quite a history. Thank you for sharing your experience there:)

In 2018, I was on a training trip to CO and got to visit The Stanley. A co-worker and I sneaked up to a the floors and the 2nd floor felt like a daycare. It was a very very childlike feeling that made me feel playful but cautious. The 3rd floor was very calm, nothing spectacular. The 4th floor is where I was TRULY creeped out to tears!!! It was very very very ominous!! RM 407 gave me the most dreadful feeling just standing outside the door. I literally froze in front of the door and my co-worker had to move me. I got "altitude sickness" after we left and that night I dreamt of kids surrounding me screaming for help and crying.....I WOULD NEVER EVER STAY ON THE 4TH FLOOR!! Super duper fun experience tho....definitely would go back....
Did my share of ghost hunting. Best captures were using Panasonic DR 60 and running it overnight. Ive captured growls, my name being called and ghosts would gossip about me and my then boyfriend. They said "They arent getting married." That was amusing and accurate. Ghosts speak rapidly and can be hard to understand unless you slow down the recording using software. Them calling my name got more and more frequent. They swore at my boyfriend. They obviously knew he was not a gentle kind person so they treated him as such.
Those are demons. They know everything about us . They know your grandma and your grandma's grandma. Up to 100 generations. They laugh when we harm ourselves with drugs or alcho or something like that

I don't know why, but when I first saw the upper hallway, the titanic before it's tragic end came to my mind. I know that sounds unrealistic, but who knows, perhaps unknowingly, there are a few surviving relics from the titanic among the hotel knick knacks. The vibes are very strong. Fab Video. 🌌💙🙏

At that time Mrs Stanleys piano was in the lobby and anyone could play it if inclined. But on one occassion I was walking through the lobby and I was alone except for one desk attendant. The piano was about ten feet off to my side and I had just passesd by when all of the sudden I heard a the piano play a short line of music. It was just me and the piano and maybe Mrs Stanley!

You help me alot bro.. I scared to sleep alone in my apartment but since i watching this and you said " scaring is just a fun for me" i got energy from it bro.. Thanks.
Dude your cinematography is absolutely incredible. I also dig that you add a realism to “paranormal” investigations. This video was a treat to watch brother
He is a creative genious for a living so thats why he was able to make it look like there was a storm outside.
@19:22 a black faded "something" streaks downward. :)
ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR---🙏.🙏🙏.🙏
I am never visiting the Winchester house. No way.
@@GhostofMrsMuir1443i’ve been there, absolutely no spooky vibes. The Queen Mary on the other hand…
I love that you don't freak over every noise and you try to explain why things are happening. I've watched other UA-camrs (you mentioned one channel) who scream over every little noise and are overacting for views. Thank you for a great video and I love the lightning in the background...perfect ambiance! And the hotel is beautiful.
watching this the day after shelly duvalls passing feels like a blessing. rest in peace to a true icon. 🩷
At 12.28 when you look in that room we're they do seances there is a big shadow going across on the wall and part of the ceiling a dark mass.
I worked two summers, at the Stanley Hotel. I had a couple of experiences...in the tunnels, and on the 4th floor, and the Music Room.
That is the hotel I thought he was at…my bf parents stayed there. It is scary
I concur with Eureka Springs. Absolutely love the Crescent!!!
O el overlukk bueno no se cómo se escribe donde se filmó el resplandor
I apologize if this is a weird question. But do you still have the pictures and videos?
@@ravenfinley3051 yes I do!! I made a fun video for my girls for a keepsake and I think I still have a copy.

The Shining from 1997 was filmed on location at Stanley Hotel. Freaky place for sure

I do love how the cameras are always at the location before you, thats commitment from them 😅another great vid mate

Thanks for being honest about your results, or lack thereof. It is a neat experience to stay there!
In UA-cam you are the best traveller in the world
The foundation was actually designed to shift because the ground frequently moves there, which I think many sounds could be related to.
I thought is was built on the Rockies?
Ps my theory is these old hotels have that hair raising vibe because many, many people have stayed there over years, adding kinetic energy to the walls, which store up energy abd reflect it back. All living beings have a very, low frequency kinetic electric energy. When events occur, like the maid nearly dying, creates an imprint and when energy is moving around, like weather events, it kinda releases it. Im a skeptic on actual ghosts being spirits, but my guess is here
Watching your videos is like going to the movie theater. I always know I’m in for an experience 🍿 Also that doll room would have sent me running lol
That means a lot coming from you!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch this!!! ❤️
You're one of those content creators that's just honest and genuine. Keep it up!
I know I like a youtuber when I get chills before I even watch the spooky video. That thunderstorm really enhanced this video, it was meant to be!

I really appreciate the time and effort put into the editing for this video. Very clean.
I love love love being scared

I lived in Estes Park for over 20 years. The Stanley is an amazing place! Saw lots of movies and TV shows/mini series filmed there. Never saw anything paranormal, but lots of zombies (tourists). The stanley, and the area, including Rocky Mountain National Park, is the most amazing place!
Zombies are good for business!

Fab Video. 🌌💙🙏

I grew up in Estes Park. The Stanley was just part of our landscape and I was often in the hotel for functions or to meet friends.
