Have the define 7XL -- which is basically the same case except for the front mesh cover in the meshify, and the define has 5.25" bays .. I really love this case and never understood why the various youtubers aren't paying more attention to fractal. It feels like its all Phanteks and NZXT or bust. Thank you for a great video!

      Hi,
how is the airflow in the define 7 XL? Because I don't use AiO CPU cooler, but a normal tower Air cooler.

@@Inversible100 hey there. I was running an air cooler in my 7xl for a while and the airflow was fine. For gaming or intensive workloads even with my aio I just pop open the door for better airflow but for all other uses I keep it shut without issues.

I´ve not been sure about buying the meshfy 2 xl or the define 7 xl, (since they are both the same size and support the same number of drives) but you just made up my mind when you said you pop open the door for better airflow!
I´m buying it for my server, and I prefer cool over quiet every day!
Meshify 2 xl is also $100 less than define 7 xl in sweden! (and thats the none TG version!!!)

Mine finally arrived home yesterday on 19.05.2022. The chassis was surprisingly easy to carry home. But the walk had to be paused 10 times before reaching its destination. After resting a while in the sleeping room I had a painting located too close to it. Despite one of its doors put a crack into the painting which was my fault making a new painting based on the old one is no problem. Meshify 2XL is a beautiful, fantastic chassis. You can use it to better understand how to build up, for example Thermaltake Core WP 200. Despite the chassis is surprisingly easy to lift and carry for some parts of it can drop off and its best to be in shoes while carrying it just as a safety measure. This is a really good video. Well presented description and instructions on how to access the case.

I use this case today and this video contributed to my decision to buy it. Interestingly, my 3090 Kingpin Hybrid does 49C under load in this case. The AIO for the CPU is a 420mm Liquid Freezer II. The cpu radiator is on the front and GPU radiator on top. The rear exhaust fan is the only original case fan used. It’s a great case and I’m amazed with the thermals.

I would love to see you do a video on how to adapt non-corsair fans to a iCUE hub! I'm hoping to build in an 011 dynamic mini when it comes out and looking for fans has been my biggest problem because I like corsairs LL fans that have the ring light and rgb fan blades but they're just WAY TOO expensive. I've found cheaper alternatives but I would love to continue utilizing iCUE software because I enjoying using some of the custom color profiles I've found online for other parts in my current build. Keep up the great work otherwise, always love the builds!

How's the airflow? Seems good based on the reported temps, is 4 intake and 4 exhaust the best practice i.e. equal ratio?
Great overview btw, I have R6 with Zenith Extreme (original) and 2990wx since 2017, even had to use a dremel to be able to use RTX 3090 with a PCIe riser (Flex VRC-25) mounted on the side of the case. Noctua cpu heat sink with 2 fans is killing the space so in a market to possibly upgrade to Define 7XL or this and swap Noctua with 420 AIO.

Ordered this case, should be here in a day or two. Moving from a Corsair Graphite 760T, which was an excellent case, but I decided I wanted an updated case with USB c, a psu shroud, and no optical drive bays even though I do use a blu-ray drive. I'll have to figure something out for that.
EXTREMELY disappointed that so many cases are coming with only two front panel USB ports. My 760T has four, and two are permanently in use for wireless headset and bluetooth. At least one will have to go in the rear now. Not too happy about that. Also not too thrilled about the odd "stealth" pattern on the mesh. Would have preferred regular flat mesh. Love the interior though, and the size as it's similar to my 760 for space.
Will be having RGB cable extensions for the GPU cables and the 24-pin cable. It looks like both should fit. Too bad there is no hole in the top of the shroud for PSU cables, but I think I can still make it work.

My old tower is proving very out of date (circa 2010), so I'd been considering a new build, but I quite like the HAF X I already have. However, I'm now convinced, I am upgrading to this case when I do the new build. Plenty of space for loads of storage, brilliant and spacious for the build itself and it looks superb for cable management. That's even the exact motherboard I'm currently looking at, so I know it will fit the gear I'm looking at perfectly. Great video, you've helped my upcoming build a lot.

    • @tyrannicpuppy
      @tyrannicpuppy 2 роки тому

@@whatsuphelp I did. It's so great. Easy to build in, loads of room (even for all the RGB cabling, I put the hubs onto two of the HDD trays and wired everything into there out of the way).
So far I don't have all the HDDs I plan to put in it, but I've plenty of options for expanding later.
Only thing I'd recommend now after building is to get custom power cables so you can match them to the required lengths of your chosen runs. One or two were just on the verge of being too short in this monster. Especially the CPU Power connectors. Had to shortcut the runs on them instead of having them tucked away at the edges in the cable runs nice and neat.
It is even big enough that I put my Rad in Push/Pull at the top and still have plenty of clearance for both the board and the storage mode layout. Removing the rad is a bit tricky in storage mode, but I don't have any reason to remove it at present so that's not really an issue anyway.
Now to figure out what to do with the HAF. It's such a beautiful case I don't just want to throw it away. Might be time to buy a dremmel and make an art piece of it...

Late to the party. The shell looks exactly the same as the define 7 XL, is it possible to swap out the front and top panels on the define to make it a meshify ?

So, Artic Cooling are releasing a 420mm version of the Liquid Freezer 2
This case can fit that either top or bottom (even though the stock fractal fans are DC and not PWN, push pull is still a mighty tempting idea)
AC's inc fans shit over most bundled aio fans - really tempted to do a build like this myself now when I can source both the case and aio :D

RE the lazy Susan thing. Cheaper ones do suck.
Instead, buy a high quality lazy Susan *bearing* then pop on a nice panel that suits the Studio aesthetic. Used dense, quality materials.
You'll have perfect rotating platform, closer to the surface it's mounted onz that matches the environment.

Do a build with a Raijintek ERES EVO, and tell me where to plug into the back of the case/motherboard.

Definitely wanna swap out my Define S for this, in order to crank it up with bigger radiators. I'm curious to see what's the max you could fit in it. Awaiting for your final build video!

I see that you did not screw in your cooler screws in a crisscross to make sure that the thermal paste is spread evenly.

The case is gorgeous, but it also has a problem. Retaining clips can break easily. Personally, I managed to break a clip during assembly, on the upper part of the case. It is true that these clips can be ordered from the manufacturer, but there is already an additional cost.

So this is a define 7 xl with a mesh front? Not a bad thing as the define 7 xl is peak case. Very happy with mine.

I'm not a fan of those AIO water cooling loops ever since I bought an AIO 120mm and the pump died forcing me to remove the whole AIO unit and use an air cooled cpu cooler.Even though custom water cooling loops cost more the advantage of a custom water cooling loop is that with two shut off valves connected the water pump can be removed from the water reservoir without having to remove everything else or completely draining the water cooling loop.I've seen a lot of youtube videos that review and recommend the D5 water pumps so that is what I am going to use and have an extra D5 water pump on hand in case the D5 water pump that I happen to be using quits. The most I will ever use will be one SSD drive as the main drive and two HHD hard drives. It's always nice having the option of adding more storage if the need ever arises.I have never been a fan of small PC cases because I have big hands and it's a real pain in the ass working in those small PC cases.
