- Building BADASS Watercooled PC Build in Fractal Meshify 2 XL - Time Lapse - ft. Corsair Dominator
In today's video, i am building a beautiful water-cooled computer in a cool pc case from Fractal Design called Meshify 2 XL. The pc case offers high air circulation and a lot of space. A computer based on the X299 platform with an i9 7940X processor, which still offers good performance but has high power consumption. The graphics card is RTX 2080 Super in the Waterforce edition, which is equipped with a factory water block. As a memory I used modules from Corsair called Platinium Dominator RGB, which in terms of appearance are my favorite.

Damn this is soo clean, great work
ty xD cheers!
Music sounds like Enigma, but slowed down. Very cool.
I can only dream of! hahaah nice one, again
Hope you will get one in asap ;) Cheers! ;)
Great vid, wonderful clean build. Just got this case myself to make a build once all components arrive, and its great to see some inspiration! Happy holidays!
Thanks, hope your build will be amazing ;) Happy holidays to you too ;)
How did u get the res to work? Isn’t it made for a different case?
What was the length of the raiser cable?
Awesome build, I just ordered Phanteks P500A with this distroplate from EK.🤩
Question: why did you cross the GPU inlet and GPU outlet on the distroplate, I see you got the tube from GPU goes to CPU inlet?🙄
I didn't wanted to comeback from the CPU to the distro. After CPU I went to the 2nd radiator straight then it went to the GPU and distro. I did in this way a bit unconven way ;) Everybody can do like they wanna, just the loop need to be in order to let the pump do its job xD Cheers!
@@WKHardware Im planning to do the exact same loop order as you with two rads, can I take GPU into GPU inlet, and let GPU outlet and CPU inlet plugged(not used)?
@@dampen13 You have to use CPU ports becouse they are prior in the loop than the GPU ports. Or you could just cross the CPU ports like i did with GPU ports.
Hey! I’m in the market for a new case and I was looking at this one! I have a question, don’t know if you can help me with it. If you just add fans in the front, is there room for a 360 or maybe 420 aio plus the fans to where you put your distro plate???
how much did that jusr cost
What are the black gloves are you using in the video?
Look up Venom Steel nitrile gloves. 1year later... don't know why I replied.
You’re reason to bought this case
Hope you will enjoy the build in this case! ;)
Could you fit a 45x420mm radiator on the front, with a 45/60x360mm on top?
This looks insane, but also not too over the top. I generally dislike green lighting in my PC but this is blended so well that it actually adds to its charm. It adds more of a natural feel to the PC rather than a 'toxic' feel. Yk?
hi, so i have this case been looking into water cooling. so do you have 3 intake fans on the front and 4 output fans 3 top 1 rear?
Music makes me think of Stranger things
3:33 중앙에 지지대는 있는데 나사를 안 넣어서 왠지 모르게 불편 마지막엔 넣겠지 했는데 라디 설치로 넘어가네 ㄷㄷ;;;
What EK distro block is that?
It is EK Water Blocks pump-reservoir combo - EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Reflection Evolv X D5 and it is covered by carbon foil. Cheers!
@@WKHardware sorry for all the questions. But that is for a Phanteks case is it not? How did you know it would fix this case? Did you have to modify it at all to make it fit?
@@haroldadams3951 Man you can ask all and i will answer if i will just know the answer :D Yes it is for PHANTEKS but it will fit to any case if you will have mounting holes in appropriate place. On one side there were perfect original holes, just on the other side i had to drill 2 little holes and thats all in the case of Meshify 2 XL. Cheers!
@@WKHardware Thank you for the feedback. Happy Holidays!
@@haroldadams3951 eyy bro, u2 ;)
Hi.
Very nice build! One question accordig to GPU water block, don't ypu observe corrosion in the loop? As we can see on the movie there is the Gigabyte RTX 2080 (SUPER?) 8GB WB, this card has an aluminium water block installed. The rest of the loop is copper based (radiator, CPU WB, fitings) - that is why I'm asking.
It's not my pc, but i spoke to that person and no issues whatsoever.
Hello, what exactly vertical mount are you using here? It is not their B-20 Flex right? VRC-25?
Hello, It's Fractal Design FLEX VRC-25. Cheers!
Отличный ролик 👍👍
Thanks ;) Cheers!
What type of tubes did you use? Spectacular build and video.
Thx ;) btw. there were 16/12mm PETG tubes. After bending, they were painted on matt black.
3:43 Isn't it kind of a risky business mounting the motherboard with the case still upright?
In this PC case it is not big deal, becouse instead of one mounting screw there is metal pin which holds motherboard very well. Cheers!
this looks absolutely fantastic. Question: I want to get this case with a watercooling build, BUT i also have lots of hard drives. The front can be adjusted so it can accommodate the hard drives in a separate area. Would I still be able to put in flat resevoir block somewhere? Is there enough room. I really want to build something like this.
Thanks. If you will expand that storage place on the side of the case there wont be place for flat reservoir. I dont know how many hard drives you have, but there are 6 places for hdds and 2 for ssds without any interuption. If you need more, you could use normal tube reservoir instead of flat. Cheers!
Can you fit a radiator with 140mm fans in the front when you have the distro plate?
Yes, but there is only place for thin radiator.
What is that on your RAM slot and how does it work, does it add storage, where can I find info about it?
This is DIMM.2 slot which allows to mount 2 m.2 storage. Some of ASUS motherboards have that kind of slots to mount m.2 storage.
Thanks for making this. I am considering this case and I see you have the nice EK RES+pump combo. This case is not listed as compatible on EK’s site. Did you mid extensively to make it fit ?
On one side there are original holes which perfectly align with mounting holes on the combo, just on the other side had to drill little holes. If you consider this, you have to watch out becouse just thin radiator will fit there.
Good build video. I enjoyed the music as well!
Thanks for feedback and comment, helping much ;)
Sweet!
Nice clean work, but You could did that in ordinary Meshify 2 case. XL version can easily fit 480 + 420 + 240 or 420 + 420 + 240 rads... There is a lot of radiator space wasted.
Thanks for your pov ;) Cheers!
No rad space wasted here, 480 + 420 + 240 is excessive, to say the least
Nice build. What size/type of tube did you use. Did you paint the tubes. Thanks
It's 16/12mm PETG tubes from EK. Yes, the tubes were painted matt black after bending.
@@WKHardware Thanks. I am trying to build something similar with most of the inspiration from your amazing build. Which matt black paint did you use....
Hey hey WK Hardware,
Build looks amazing. Super tight and love the color theme but I was wondering how those fan perform for you?
Suprisingly, these fans performs not bad at all. They produce enough static air pressure to move the air throught the radiators, but of course ek or noiseblocker fans would be better.
@@WKHardware did you use a fan hub to control the fans? As they are not PWM correct?
@@roelvandenberg9644 These fans have 3-pin connectors and were controlled via fan hub which Meshify 2 XL has.
Awesome build omg :OO may I ask how you got black tubes?
Thanks ;) After bending i painted them on mat black colour ;) Cheers!
kurapika
Did you wrap the plate in carbon wrapping?
Yes, i used carbon foil over that distro plate.
@@WKHardware how did you make it fit if it's for phanteks cases
@@chrisjohnson261 I just drilled mounting holes for the distro plate and that's all ;)
