I've just had the most incredible fortune to hear Zach speak live here in my home city of Cape Town, he's a force of nature. His energy and light is inspirational. He's waking up the world with his wisdom
Very much agree, I forget where I first saw whatever interview I did with him, & I was caught off-guard by just.. him, you see, sooo fucking smart with an expanse of knowledge

I live here, in greece, spending lots of time to find my real food and cook it, without social media and the rest of that bul...it, without stress and nonsense, a real life all together, but i watch my chances to survive become lesser from day to day. The opposite forces are killing us. It s great that i can listen to you and know that i m not insane, but i know that it s tough to survive this way. Nevertheless i ll go till the end. Boy, am I grateful for this grounded common-sense human being! Advice and guidance like this are very much needed with the over-abundance of contradictory info about food that's out there. I appreciate how Dr. Zach Bush teaches using science, explained so simply. He is a clear thinker and communicator - a beautiful example of what's available when you live and eat in alignment with Nature. Thank you ~
This is. one of the most powerful videos I have ever watched! Our spirituality is who we really are. We must fuel up our physical bodies properly in order to experience life in this lower vibration. We can do it in a very pleasant way, to experience our highest vibration without judgement. . It reminds me of the value of raising food in our gardens, composting, and showing gratitude and respect There is so much more to life than we realize through our human brains! Thank you for this!
I've watched a few of Zachs interviews, his wisdom is astounding. He is able to analyse scientifically better than any scientist I've ever heard, and draw together the threads of cultural and spiritual and philosophical truths better than any philosopher or guru I've ever heard.
A giant baby step everyone can take is to stop using toxic laundry products! My city neighbourhood stinks; sometimes I can’t go outside because of dryer sheet stench. Kids are being poisoned in their classrooms; its not surprising they have all kinds of allergies and neural problems. It’s unfair in workplaces; I come home from work with it in my skin. I bought some jeans from a thrift store I had to wash 15 times to just be able to have them in my house. Recently my intelligent brother who is a nurse told me he hadn’t even thought about laundry products being toxic; I have felt so frustrated by this problem and realized people just aren’t aware!

First time I heard this man speak on an Aubrey Marcus UA-cam video, my soul "rose into love" my goodness listening to this soul i feel I instantly rise up into Christ consciousness. I wish to walk around a forest with this man or just sit in silence..so much reverence.

You are so right about the Starbucks coffee! I have never drunk it and always thought it is an abomination. I am so glad there are others thinking the same😀😀
13:24 - I had not realized I was working with the simple idea that food = calories and hunger was only ever a call for more calories. So when you pointed out that a body seeks input to seek minerals it needs as well... Suddenly craving certain foods is perfectly clear.😮 Thank you🙏
You can't simply give into your cravings anymore because, of course, your body ultimately simply wants high calorie foods, and they are now available 24/7 without even leaving your home! Plus a craving for sugar can simply be a craving for salt or you may simply be tired from a poor nights sleep.
I've so enjoyed this lesson!! The thing that most shocked me was, what aspartame/formaldehyde and methanol are doing to the body. Thank God I always felt appalled by artificial sweeteners. And with today's knowledge of what they are doing to the microbiom, I'm super happy that I listened to my body 😅
Love this…but a side note: some of us call ourselves plant based or vegan as we do not want to eat fellow living beings, not because we think it is a superior “diet”.
What a Brilliant sharing Zach!!👍 I loved this & especially what you explained about plant Protein. I have been guided for the past few yrs to cut down a lot from eating meat protein I also cut out meat completely for about a year. I felt amazing. In winter I felt I needed hot food and was tempted to have organic chicken soup. Also I find when on holday its very difficult to find something like plant protein for breakfat in most B&B's and hotels. I then go with my intuition and not create too much of a stir.!!! I love your imput & can resonate so much with everything you share. THANK YOU SO MUCH Zach for re-educating us all!! I am now ready to stop eating meat altogether after listening to you👌👍😀💕🦋🌳😎
yes listen to your body, I feel meat is better for us in the very could months/winter when plants and fruit are less in abundance,, in the Cold places in the world they eat more meat for this reason. In Summer, Spring, I tend to stay clear of Animal products, and eat whole plant based :).. go with your intuition is the best thing for your body :)
There are nutrients only found in animal fats, like raw unsalted butter or raw milk, Lightly cooked liver, unsalted eggs cooked lightly or raw. I am grossing you out . Some useable nutrients found in animal fats are vitamin D, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin K2, and many different kinds of K vitamins, and others.
❤ much gratitude and grace to you Dr Zac, I just love being educated and uplifted by your incredible knowledge. I have changed the way I relate with the world around me and spend happy hours growing food and relaxing amongst the beauty of nature. Aroha nui from New Zealand ❤
📍Make so much sense… I really like your metaphor on food being full and sunlight, released into our cells and mitocondria… Don’t think, I ever forget this lecture… THANK YOU + HEARTHUG🤗❤️💚❤️‼️
Too many think that all calories are the same. They are not. Not even close. You could live on a diet of carbs and protein vs protein and fat and you would most likely become much fatter and unhealthy on the diet with carbohydrates. The body does not require carbohydrates. It does require fat and protein.
I'm eating the healthiest carbs i can find trying to gain weight and still having a hard time doing so. So far I've managed to gain weight before sundown, but by morning I always end up back where I started. Now im working out to gain more muscle as I think this is how I will gain weight. I used to be 50lbs over weight mind you. I don't consume seed/vegetables oils nor salads. Just eat glyphosate free whole grains, dairy and lots of meat. I still have a decent amount of muscle mass even after not working out with intensity and consistency in months.
I am in gratitude to be able to eat with a balanced wisdom at times it’s too much food, but that’s ok as long as i am in tune with my foods and their benefits
We are running in half a cell. Lol. Not funny however, let's relearn to eat through energy. Thank you Zack Bush. The world is a better place cuz your in it. Blessings
Genuine questions here. Where is the evidence for what is said at 1:03:20, "eating fruits and veg is the only way to get full energy"? And 1:03:40, lack of carbohydrates causes fermentation of protein? On what basis are you denying all the claims that the human body benefits from switching its energy source from carbohydrates to animal fats? The gut microbiome adapts.
There is nothing wrong with understanding accurate science about what food does, but I would like Dr Bush, or anybody for that matter to explain why our ancestors and basically all animals in nature are perfectly healthy knowing nothing about science?
I was vegan for a few years and learned that all the plants give me skin inflammation and histamine reactions. Acne breakouts constantly. Some diets work for some but not for all. Very confusing.
Thank you for taking the effort to do your research and the generosity of sharing your learning. The world needs to know and understand this part of history and the consequence our generation is dealing with.
it might be worth considering dedicating a video only to this new concept, which most of us here understood as glucose and saturated fat have the same caloric value gram per gram. I, kind of, intuitively understand what Dr. Zach Bush meant when he said that when the carbon portion of glucose and saturated fat are matched, the caloric value will be the same, but I believe this topic deserves a more thorough explanation and a separate video to clear up any ambiguities.
Truly Wonder Full! Thank you very sincerely for your willingness to share your knowledge and life force. May you stay Blessed and may your audience grow infinitely.. From Stanford, Western Cape of South Africa.
The actual problem is that most people are getting around with raised insulin all day. Their hypothalamus doesn't see the leptin signal from adipose fat cells and therefore wants more energy intake. This is due to carbs and carbs alone as fat does not raise insulin.
Not carbs alone, look up the effect of blue light and EMFs on insulin resistance/ fasting glucose… if you actually lived outside and got enough sunlight like our ancestors and didn’t constantly crush your mitochondria with fake lights you wouldn’t have nearly as much issues with carbs.
@@MrMadalien I and many others have corrected many health issues by maintaining low insulin for most of the day. If emf and blue light was a significant issue regarding insulin/glucose the benefits would not have been achieved. No doubt there are further benefits by removing these aswell.
@@garyfinch1840 You misunderstood, obviously keto works to circumvent this issue, I think everyone should try keto. However, if you do what I mentioned in the previous comment, carbs would have less impact, in general inflammation would decrease. It’s also well known that carbs are more accessible the closer you getvto the equator because carbs are proportional to sunlight. If you never go outside and constantly at a screen you are an obligate keto dieter, otherwise you will be extremely unhealthy. However people who live near equator can eat fruit all day it won’t really affect them as long as they stick to their traditional life style.
@@MrMadalien The carbs, fructose and fibre would be contraindicated if consuming fruit all day. You could survive but not thrive. What did people consume during and after an ice age prior to agriculture?
@@garyfinch1840 “people” are different according to where they live. Diet is not optional, it is limited to the geographical area around you, and the weather. That only changed recently, so now we are all confused about what to eat. I also eat low carb (not fully keto) but that’s because I’m a tech slave I work at a computer (I quit my job recently). Consider that every culture eats very different diets, and you can thrive on fat/protein in almost all places, but it’s normally hard to get enough of that in nature so you would go hungry a lot. Carbs are more accessible in warm, summer-like conditions because a carbohydrate is literally stored sunlight.
Dont get me wrong i love zachs work and im trying to understand rather than disagree, but out of the 2 million or so years weve been physiologically human we've only had grains for 10,000 years and the oldest recognisable veggies are probably 3 to 5000 years old. Some have only been around for only a few hundred years and wouldn't have been part of a natural diet for us. The stable carbon isotype analysis shows we ate mostly large ruminants and seafood. Love the comments about Bill. It could explain a lot.
People are obese because food has become an activity, people eat for boredom as a thing to do and because they value taste over nutrition, and in America the explosion of big giant portions people eating more calories and what they need because eating is fun at least that's how it's been portrayed,, candy has zero nutritional value but candy is a fun thing children love to do and adults, it's all about taste not nutrition, and people are not as active as it used to be more robotic than human, it's not normal for a 40-year-old adult not be able to run and jump but that's what happens to all the majority of adults as they age, that is what I believe is the problem with the obesity crisis
As much as many diet gurus want to say it isn’t so, it really is all about calories in calories out. That’s why Michael Phelps could consume 8,000 calories a day when he was training all day, but if he ate that much today, he’d blow up like a balloon.
Why does he keep saying " We were developing.. " No. We the public were not developing anything. The food industry and food engineers were the ones looking, as they do to this day, cheaper ingredients to add to food processing for more profit.
I’m loving eating a mostly whole foods mostly organic but always vegan diet for the animals! 🐓🐄🐮 nothing feels better and every meal I have I am just so thankful an animals didn’t suffer from it. Also makes me really appreciate the nutrients in simple plant foods, and i definitely don’t fail to have enough protein, carbs and fats and natural sugars 😊🙏
Currently imagining the sunlight powering a plant to take carbon out of the atmosphere into the plant to power it into long chains of carbon that are now being carried through my blood stream to this extraordinary garden of mitochondria and microbiome working within me that is going to release that light energy again 😊
You do know that the rise in arable farming (and it would be far more if we were all vegan), means thousands of small animal AND insect habitats get destroyed!
What would you eat in the dead of winter when nothing grows and food wasn't shipped from all pockets of the planet to be sold in shops all year round? No fridge, no stores to buy your plants that didn't grow in your region, what would you eat? Name one culture that is completely plant based? You think when a lion attacks its prey it is thinking about his "feelings?"
Beautiful put! One thing I do not understand is why he says 1 gram of glucose = 9 kcal. For fat yes it is tru; 1 gr fat - 9 kcal. But 1 gr glucose = 4 kcal...
I thought he was doing well until he started dissing those on a meat-based diet. After he started telling us how great plants were and showing ignorance of an elimination diet I turned the channel!
Dr. Zach Bush... WHAT ABOUT THE RANDLE CYCLE? "Randle cycle is a biochemical mechanism involving the competition between glucose and fatty acids for their oxidation and uptake in muscle and adipose tissue." Wikipedia How does eating mostly plant carbs that turn to sugars stabilize the blood sugar, heal hormones allowing hormones to heal the body? You taught me how important blood sugar regulation is for health!
Please watch this video by Dr Barnard, he explains how to reverse diabetes with low fat, whole food plant based diet with large clinical studies that back these ideas. Fat in the blood blocks the insulin from entering cells, raising insulin and blood glucose levels. Low Fat whole food diet revwrses this, literally within 1 day of eating this way, most type 2 diabetics cut the amount of insulin they use in half and many are off of insulin in a few days. ua-cam.com/video/tAiXvrIMIIE/v-deo.html
I always new Dr bush would find out about us and such I felt it in my heart ty so much for all ur research and help I'm 65 so it's a little late for my body
thank you for your mission on this planet Dr. Bush . since you are speaking about micro-nutrients, please educate us about how combining all the micro-nutrients in one meal can affect the body's ability to store fat , as some "experts " say when we combine fat and sugar we store fat, or we combine sugar with protein we store fat and so on . thank you for clearing this myth for us should we be afraid to combine fat with sugar ,we are referring to only natural unrefined food.
Fascinating story! From what I remember though fat has twice the calories per gram compared to carbs, I don't understand how he suddenly says they're equal other then that I tend to agree.
Yes, carbs have 4 cal per gram, fat has 9 cal per gram. Fiber has zero cal per gram as we cannot digest it. Fiber is used as food by the good bacteria in our gut. It is necessary for healthy gut and immune system.
There's also insulin to consider....spiked far more by sugars and carbs in general. Insulin is a fat storing hormone. It literally prevents you from accessing your fat stores and burning fat. Think about that. Also think about why there is a type 2 diabetes epidemic.

And with today's knowledge of what they are doing to the microbiom, I'm super happy that I listened to my body 😅
Love this…but a side note: some of us call ourselves plant based or vegan as we do not want to eat fellow living beings, not because we think it is a superior “diet”.
Make cheese
Your gobal interconnected view of spirituality in all that you speak of amazes me and renews my sense of awe that I've always found in nature.
Dude!!! Love u and love ur content!
I would like to see a debate between Zach Bush and Paul Saladino.
Or a debate Jack Kruse MD.
There are nutrients only found in animal fats, like raw unsalted butter or raw milk,
Lightly cooked liver, unsalted eggs cooked lightly or raw.
Great content as always, thank you for your passion and gratefulness
THANK YOU SIR. Much appreciation. Cape Town SA
I love this man. Brilliant truth!
Dr. Zack is one of the best .
Thank you
Diet soda is out now
There is nothing wrong with understanding accurate science about what food does, but I would like Dr Bush, or anybody for that matter to explain why our ancestors and basically all animals in nature are perfectly healthy knowing nothing about science?
We made it difficult, by altering our food and ecosystems to unnatural states.
animals are driven by instinct
humans are driven alot by culture
Exactly.
Macrobiotics
Amazingly powerful Information, much love many thanks Dr Zach bush !
He can’t change the definitions of nutrition. Sugars contain four grams of calories per gram, not nine.
yep, as a result, I think that an additional video explaining this topic in more details would be quite beneficial.
@@Nicksonian it's been a kind of stupid, simplistic system, anyway.
Truly Wonder Full! Thank you very sincerely for your willingness to share your knowledge and life force. May you stay Blessed and may your audience grow infinitely..

makes total sense. TY.
So much knowledgeable information!
Wow!! Just found you on a little short clip, looked you up and am very impressed with what you teach and I learn, thank you!
Cold temperatures exposure also produces the same effects as cold water plunge.
Masterclass. Thanks!
Yes, we were created to experience pleasure in all ways, but never at the expense of the pleasure of others. All others.
This is a wealth of information. Bravo sir.
Genius!
Great info. That's so informative. Thanks for the video!!
I am the spritual cognitive conscious result of my awareness of the nature within me. Beautiful 😍
So? What are we supposed to eat?
Thanks
Thanks for the info on aspartame regarding metabolism into formaldehyde. Very nasty indeed
Never knew Matt Damon knew so much about nutrition!
😂
❣️❤️ Have a wonderful day ✨️ Thank you very much ❤️❣️
Brilliant presentation, thank you !
Great talk! Thanks!
I thought there were 4 calories in a gram of sugar vs 9 calories in a gram of fat?
Another problem w/ Red Robin is the level of noise that deliberately interferes with social activity.
Please do a lecture on the Randal cycle!
@@Nicksonian Yes calories in and out but the calories quality matters
Why does he keep saying " We were developing.. " No. We the public were not developing anything. The food industry and food engineers were the ones looking, as they do to this day, cheaper ingredients to add to food processing for more profit.
Yes!

ALL ABOUT.$$$$$$$

The way your breaking this down is amazing truly wise to how food was the culprit behind all this
I’m loving eating a mostly whole foods mostly organic but always vegan diet for the animals!
Shawn Baker is carnivore and breaking records at 55 I wouldn't say carbs are necessarily good or necessary
I thought he was doing well until he started dissing those on a meat-based diet. After he started telling us how great plants were and showing ignorance of an elimination diet I turned the channel!
@@itamardosanjos423 Sarcasm?
Interesting lecture, but since when does sugar and fat have the same amount of calories? Doesn't sugar have 4 and fat 9? Or has the science changed?
You are correct. He is wrong.
Dr. Zach Bush... WHAT ABOUT THE RANDLE CYCLE? "Randle cycle is a biochemical mechanism involving the competition between glucose and fatty acids for their oxidation and uptake in muscle and adipose tissue." Wikipedia
How does eating mostly plant carbs that turn to sugars stabilize the blood sugar, heal hormones allowing hormones to heal the body? You taught me how important blood sugar regulation is for health!
Small amounts of rice six times a day
Thank you for this video. You speak to my soul. I would love to know if you have looked into biochar (sp?).
Keto includes carbs in vegetables and fermented vegetables like kimchi
Please watch this video by Dr Barnard, he explains how to reverse diabetes with low fat, whole food plant based diet with large clinical studies that back these ideas. Fat in the blood blocks the insulin from entering cells, raising insulin and blood glucose levels. Low Fat whole food diet revwrses this, literally within 1 day of eating this way, most type 2 diabetics cut the amount of insulin they use in half and many are off of insulin in a few days. ua-cam.com/video/tAiXvrIMIIE/v-deo.html
And french cheese
I always new Dr bush would find out about us and such I felt it in my heart ty so much for all ur research and help I'm 65 so it's a little late for my body

Take care of animals so they want to give you milk for the best cheese in the world….😊
Informative. Thankyou!
Great!
thank you for your mission on this planet Dr. Bush . since you are speaking about micro-nutrients, please educate us about how combining all the micro-nutrients in one meal can affect the body's ability to store fat , as some "experts " say when we combine fat and sugar we store fat, or we combine sugar with protein we store fat and so on . thank you for clearing this myth for us should we be afraid to combine fat with sugar ,we are referring to only natural unrefined food.
Fascinating story! From what I remember though fat has twice the calories per gram compared to carbs, I don't understand how he suddenly says they're equal other then that I tend to agree.
He is full of shit.
Yes, carbs have 4 cal per gram, fat has 9 cal per gram. Fiber has zero cal per gram as we cannot digest it. Fiber is used as food by the good bacteria in our gut. It is necessary for healthy gut and immune system.
Thanks!
There's also insulin to consider....spiked far more by sugars and carbs in general. Insulin is a fat storing hormone. It literally prevents you from accessing your fat stores and burning fat. Think about that. Also think about why there is a type 2 diabetes epidemic.
exactly!
Insulin raising when eating sugar is healthy. Fat blocks sugar from being absorbed and keeps blood sugar raised and insulin insensitivity is created.
what about those that say we don't need any carbs, others say we don't need any fiber, is the truth somewhere in the middle?
I know- they are ALL so SURE that THEY are RIGHT !!!!
Impressive knowledge, and a pretty good philosophy, but we are omnivores and should eat a diverse natural diet including animals and plants.
Excellent
is stevia also harmful?
My mind has just been blown 🎉
