More people need to understand this! I went to 2 weddings in the past 5 years and both of them were when I was still a teenager. I didn’t know anyone at either wedding who wasn’t on my side of the family. The first at least had a photo booth and cornhole, but those can only keep you sane for so long. Second one had nothing extra to do, the only options were to take photos, dance, or talk to people. Needless to say, I was miserable, but at least I had my sister to complain about it with.
My daughter got engaged at the end of October (🎉🎊🥳) and she already has SO much planned (lol, that’s my girl!) but I want to help her w/evaluating the various wedding website companies and the phone-to-cloud photo apps/companies. Soooooo, PLEASE consider doing deep dives into those two tools, pleeeease? ❤️ (ETA: THANK YOU for the inclusive language on your products! As an ally, I actively support folks/companies who wholeheartedly understand that #LOVEISLOVE!!!)
How about a chocolate coating fountain? Like at the beginning of the wedding, everyone picks what they want, dip it in chocolate and other toppings, then at the end they get to eat it.
My reception will have a “spring/summer time backyard family party” all the yard games, I LOVE the “table game” station! I saw a wedding that was in a 4:20 friendly state that had oils custom blended for a cart/pen bar with THC carts (or Delta or CBD) next to the “regular” bar… along with a dude to educate~ like a sommelier!! I LOVE the idea~ it’s something we share and enjoy together. I love the “guest art” idea too…! My husband’s family is HELLA artistic and supremely talented so that could be an amazing thing to have set up at the reception…❤
I don‘t dance but my favorite activity in weddings in eating all the tiny pastries and do running commentary on everything and everyone. What you mentioned is cool too..
Oooo!!! A fun take on the cigar bar is a girl joint bar!! Joints made from different smokeable herbs/plants like lavender, rose, skull cap, mint, etc. Helps set the vibe, you can choose your vibe and it's all safe (taking allergies into consideration of course).
Ugh I haaaaaaate the voicemail guestbook. I went to a wedding that had it and it was the most awkward and uncomfortable thing to do. I refuse to do it at my wedding and subject my guests to the same uncomfortable cringe.
I recently attended a wedding we’re all we could do was dance. Even though I don’t smoke, I spent essentially the entire wedding with the smokers outside. Standing outside in the cold was better than awkwardly sitting at my table. I just do not like dancing. 😅😅
Maybe a soda bar instead of alcohol? I live in Utah and custom soda is HUGE here. You could even have bride/groom drinks like some people do with alcohol or just let people make whatever they want
@@sharelle596 While I appreciate this, I'm mainly talking more about how to have fun. Some people refuse to play games or dance if they're not drunk unfortunately :/ Thanks though! :)
@@candygrace6696 I mean outside of games, the list is really pretty short whether they're drunk or sober. If someone isn't able to have a good time unless they're drunk, that really isn't on you as long as you're giving people options. But I guess that depends on what you consider "games." I've seen mini golf, croquette, mini bowling, treasure hunts, giant chess, jenga & dominos, trivia, bingo, prizes to incentivize people to join really works well. Adult coloring books or craft stations (with aprons to avoid messy clothes). There are a lot of things to do that the vast majority of people will enjoy. And believe it or not, most people can have a great time without being drunk! The people who care about you aren't there to get sh*tfaced, they're there to celebrate with you.
@@deathbloom27 Thanks. These are great suggestions. My whole family including myself doesn't drink. They're wonderful people! But every wedding from them I've been to is just... so boring. There were lots of board games at my graduation party and they refused to play any of them, so I'm afraid even if I try to make mine fun, they won't cooperate lol. But I'll try at least. Maybe my husband's family will be more fun for lack of a better term.
My cousin gave out little activity books for all the kids back at his wedding. I still have mines. Honestly, having those for adults would be great too
We had a trivia game hosted by the best man! Our wedding was 2021 and we thought people might not be comfortable on a crowded dance floor yet. More guests ended up in trivia than dancing!
If I were to ever marry, I’ve always hated dancing myself and even at a situation like this I wouldn’t want to be forced into it. I also would not want to bring attention to the fact that there’s no way I’d do a father/daughter dance. A board/card game party would be so much more fun, and honestly would let me interact with my guests a lot more than dancing
Day 20 of asking you to do a Good Omens themed wedding. If you don't know what that is, it's originally and book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It was turned into a show on Amazon. It's amazing, and totally bingeable.

I wish our families knew we were chill lile that bc I'd LOVE joint bar😂 Maybe I'll save that for the bach party
I read joint bar and got excited then I read the description of what you actually meant and got a little disappointed 😆

Any thoughts on how to make a dry wedding absolutely awesome? Also, LOTR/Hobbit themed wedding pls.

A LOTR/Hobbit themed wedding sounds so freaking cool!!

Wedding Uno tournament. The bride and groom are the final challenge
Thank you for being inclusive!
The guest artwork is goving me life, oh my gosh 💯
If I was marrying soon, I'd have many of these activities AND a dance floor 😅
FINALLY, SOME *FUN* STUFF TO ADD TO MY FUTURE WEDDING
I'm an 18 year old with no plans of getting married in general, let alone soon, but I'll keep these in mind

OMG I LOVE IT! Is it possible if you could please do an outsider theme or a coraline theme those are my two favorite movies!

Day 12 of requesting Chronicles of Narnia as a wedding theme
I WANNA DO ‘EM ALL.

Bmw wedding theme please
Day 33 of requesting a Phantom of the Opera wedding theme! ❤
Inspired comment, I'd love to see this too!
How did the cigar smell not ruin the wedding?
It was outside by the fire, away from the dancing
Ur wedding sounds like it was very fun😂
Mr. and Mrs. Is the only option. So I'll find some forms with Mr and Mrs.
Not everyone ones has extra money for extra activities
It should just be mr. And Mrs. Tho
People do not love the crosswords!
