Hi Rhayne, haven't checked this post for a while. The product used in this video was Benjamin Moore Aura. Ultra 500 is at a much lower price range and I wouldn't trust it to stick to an oil surface. The Aura is still sticking great!
If you new topcoat over a old topcoat without any prep you are asking for probs. A buzz sander will give plenty of tooth and takes only a few minutes to last for years.
Hi Davis, you are right! We thoroughly sand all substrates before painting so our paint jobs last for years. We used a pole sander in this case but every job is different.
Sherwin-Williams Emerald and Benjamin Moore scuff x also adhere extremely well to glossy surfaces.I always check before hand to make sure.,Thanks
waterboren will stick over oil paints with np prob at all..i use oil primer the waterbvorn paint on top of it daily..

It sticks now...give it 6 months and scratch on it.
