  • When you have a Juno 6 lying around, we had no choice but to compare like for like to the June 60 Chorus pedal from TC Electronics.
Check out the June 60 here:

both sound pretty different to me, but they're both so usable! I didn't know I needed this till now haha

Apparently It has internal trim pots that can be used to adjust speed and depth. The stock settings are a bit extreme. Could be why they sound so different?

The Juno also has a third chorus mode when you enable both 1 and 2.

      Yep. June-60 also does that.

This sounds much better than other comparisons online, but I think that's cause you're doing it mono. Apparently in stereo it sounds NOTHING like the Juno 60. Although the demos of it as just a mono guitar pedal sound decent to me. (I'm more of a guitar player than a keyboard player.)

I reckon the differences come from the fact that the Juno's chorus is almost forty years older than the June and that the Juno's chorus goes through the Juno's VCA while the June has a direct output.

The chorus is actually after the Vca in a Juno.. And 40 years worth of use will give you more noise hiss but not a colored enough sound to notice..
Tc-electronic is owned by Behringer who also own Cool audio, that's the chips there using in the june 60.. Cool audio cloned the original BBD delay chips so this should sound very similar with a bit of tweaking of the internal lfo speeds and depth of modulation.. Which according to folks is possible..
Sorry not trying to outgun you here.. But I built a Juno chorus clone and used the cool audio chips.. I also had plenty of junos over the years ;]

Depth and rates are way different on the TC...I really would like to know what TC was thinking when they decided to scrap the likeness of the Juno in exchange for a 'suitable' guitar chorus...Thanks to Syntaur the world can now know what the chorus on an original Juno 106 sounds like with a guitar patched through a patch bay mod. If only they'd done it justice they could charge so much more...damn shame! I'd pay it too.

June-60 is a replica of the Juno-60 chorus, not the Juno-6 chorus (AFAIK, same circuit, but different delay timings for the BBDs).
      Juno-6:
      Chorus I - 20 Vpp: 2.5 sec
      Chorus II - 20 Vpp: 1.5 sec
      Chorus III - 2.6 Vpp: 0.124ms
      Juno-60:
      Chorus I - 20Vpp: 2 sec
      Chorus II - 20Vpp: 1.2 sec
      Chorus III - 1.6Vpp: 1 sec
