I already do that with Bruma. Even without using console commands there are areas where you can get past the invisible wall and explore a good chunk of land down to the Imperial City and out to around Weynon Priory. Truly great to see.
@@KamleshMallick not quite, most of the terrain/dungeons/settlements beyond Bruma doesn't have proper loaded models/collision, only LOD. So unless you see them at distances, the LODs will disappear, leaving empty holes on the ground.
50 settlements, 81 Dungeons and 2911 cells... Jesus christ you had a lot of work to do for just one region of The map.. for free.. for us.. hats of you folks are doing amazing progress. Thank you.

At the same time, I'd worry that an official collaboration would lead to sacrifices in the teams visions for the project, which I wouldn't want either.

Bruma was the best bit of elder scrolls content I’ve ever played. The music, the assets and the quests were all just amazing. Can’t wait to play this mod!

Have you ever played Enderal? Because imo that's far above Beyond Skyrim Bruma. Perhaps not always in assets and voice acting, but the story, world, and music are incredible.
What is most astonishing is that all of this was created in free time, non-commercial, just by devoted and indeed talented Volunteers. Much respect and appreciation to the whole team! Beyond Skyrim already surpassed the original game

Yes! I love the fractions! Idk if the skyblivion roadmap did it first or yall but I love this format of update. Really feels like the project has momentum!

What's awesome is when Beyond Skyrim is complete, other modders can use it as a jumping off platform to create even better mods. Imaging changing Skyrim vanilla fetch quests to include all of Cyrodiil. Finally it can feel like a true adventure leaving Skyrim to find an Elder Scroll or other ancient artifact. The Civil War could spill over the boarder? Dragons all over the continent? Imagine being crowed emperor because you're the dragon born and save the world.
A.) The civil war won't spill over. Ulfric even says he doesn't want a full scale war with Cyrodiil. B.) Outside of Skyrim dragons will only appear at scripted locations. C.) You won't be able to become Emperor. Being Dragonborn doesn't mean anything anymore. The Mede may even have a better divine claim themself. There are over candidates with better claims and the Mede also are still alive.
Civil War isn't planned for cyrodiil, they have enough problems going on. The politics of the region are in shambles and suffering from Post-Great War woes. What the other said is also accurate. It would be boring to become a beurocrat anyway, you think they'd allow the emperor to gallavant about a bunch of dusty places catching diseases and stab wounds? And yes, dragons in general are going to be scripted, special encounters across the provinces.
this was incredible to watch. I got into Skyrim just a few years ago and when I heard about this project, my excitement and intrigue were immeasurable. my expectations were high but this showcase truly blew them out of the water - can't wait until it's released and playable. keep up the amazing work, Cyrodiil team!

The mod I suggest trying while you are waiting for this to come out is Enderal: Forgotten Stories. It easily has hundreds of hours of top notch content to experience.
Imagine having the talent to organise and build a whole new game just because you can. Genuinely the most impressive project I've seen in modding. I played Bruma and it was incredible, I can't wait to see more.

I've played Daggerfall and Morrowind, but Oblivion is the game that made Elder Scrolls my favorite game franchise. As much as I love Skyrim I think if I actually lived in Nirn/Tamriel, that I would like to call Cyrodiil my home. I'm excited to walk through the streets of Kvatch peacefully this time. All of you are amazing don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I know what it feels like to not feel appreciated at a job, I feel that way with my current job as a forklift operator, I always get told my work is not up to standard despite putting everything I have into my job.
Been waiting for one of these to release, but i personally cant wait for elsweyr. I've been a khajiit main sence morrowind. I'm currently learning Ta'agra, their language. Looks alot like a form of arabic.

These dev diaries are great, Beyond Skyrim, Skywind, Skyblivion! This is nice, I like these diaries. Getting to know the processes and progresses too. To be able to see something like these projects being made, even just from videos like these is wonderful! Take your time lads!
As always, the nostalgia "punch in the gut" is real ... I actually teared up a little seeing the West Weald ....just roaming around in that area with Oblivion's Ambiant music is one on my fondest memory of that game ..

Hope Daniel Ran does some more music for Cyrodiil, his work for Bruma was incredible, on par with Jeremy Soule, and music imho is 50% of the experience.
Thanks for everything you do guys. The dedication from this project from the last decade plus has been astonishing. I originally got my gaming PC in 2017 so I could mod skyrim, and was most excited to try Bruma. I loved that, and look forward to anything you guys put out.
Amazing work! I've seen some negativity towards the BS projects due to their scope and thus development time, but I feel like anyone who watches this video can clearly see just how much progress has been made. Keep the faith, and keep at it. I can't wait to play through this world this team is creating.
You what would be really cool? After every project is released in like 2030, weeks could se a modding project call BEYOND TAMRIEL, featuring Summset Isles, Peyandonea, and Akavir! Just imagine having all of that in Skyrim!!!!

Colovia Pre-Release? Why not. That whole area seems so much further complete, and it would go with Bruma very nicely. Why wait so many more years to have all of Cyrodiil out, when you can release a massive area with 4 more cities and so many quests. It can then keep the interest alive while you work on the rest of Cyrodiil with the main quest coming in the final release.
They've said many times that releasing in pieces will take too much time and effort (breaking up cross county quests) but honestly I think the pressure for release is (rightfully) insanely high and a Colovia release would be a really smart move, especially if they have the manpower to put towards that and have it ready for release within a year and a half from now. So yeah I'm with you on team Colovia release!
Releasing Colovia would push back the full release of Cyrodiil back years and we just want to get this content out in full as fast as possible, among other issues.
@@ciaranwhitehead3906 A few reasons. We would have to fully finish Colovia and support its release. We'd have to actively alter existing quests that take you out of Colovia, adjust leveled lists, plan for having to redo VA twice, actively bugfix and QA Bruma and Colovia release, and that's just the surface of it. Colovia in a release state wouldn't be a "we have to do it anyway' direct merge as a release takes more work than is needed in just getting it in a decent state. We have to consider borders, asset management, and more. And since Nibenay is going to follow very close to Colovia's 'completion' anyway it would be a waste of time to do all that when it won't take much longer after that release to finish Nibenay as well.
I can't wait for all the Beyond Skyrim project to be done so I can do a mega play-through of Skyrim with all of them installed. The mother of all Skyrim play-throughs.
genuinely once all of the beyond skyrim projects are done, i don’t think any elder scrolls games could top it. imagine starting your character in black marsh and questing around there then making your way to skyrim and becoming dragon born and retiring in elswyr. With the amount of content they are saying is in cyrodil alone you could probably put multiple hundreds if not a thousand hours into one save
I'm honestly more excited for this than i am for Skyblivion. Both projects are impressive in their own right, but giving me a reason to start a skyrim playthrough again will be a blast of nostalgia, as I havent actually played the game in years
The Beyond Skyrim project is one of the the most exciting things in the modding scene. Aside from the obvious release date concerns I have one major technical question: Will the game even be able to handle having all the beyond skyrim projects installed simultaneously? We know for fact that the game has a hard cap for how many references(temporary/persistent) it can have at any given point (just over 1 million). Obviously all the BS projects will be in ESM form so that should cut down the reference count significantly at least for the temporary ones, however going by the fact that BSbruma has 130k references alone (10%), it seems likely if it is even possible to run the game with all the BS projects simultaneously, you pretty much wouldn't have any room left for basically any other mods in your load order. I'm not even talking about plugin count at this point either. Would be great to get some feedback about this @Beyond Skyrim
This was fantastic, great to see how much work actually goes into it. Its awesome to see how much you've accomplished, and I was astounded how the statistics made Cyrodiil seem much more populated then Skyrim! I really can't wait to play the finished product, keep up the good work you heroes

@@urbonx I love oblivion but I've played Skyrim longer, it's just nolstelga. I'm at the point of doing Skyrim stories for UA-cam and hopefully I'm done before skyblivion 🤕

@@K_1_T_S_U_N_E, yes, and I've done that exactly once. But for all the playthroughs where my speech wasn't high enough, it would be great to do a prison raid.
As someone who loved Oblivion so much I am beyond excited to see Kvatch rebuilt, and the legacy our player character left behind there
Hope Daniel Ran does some more music for Cyrodiil, his work for Bruma was incredible, on par with Jeremy Soule, and music imho is 50% of the experience.

Thanks for everything you do guys. The dedication from this project from the last decade plus has been astonishing. I originally got my gaming PC in 2017 so I could mod skyrim, and was most excited to try Bruma. I loved that, and look forward to anything you guys put out.

Amazing work! I've seen some negativity towards the BS projects due to their scope and thus development time, but I feel like anyone who watches this video can clearly see just how much progress has been made. Keep the faith, and keep at it. I can't wait to play through this world this team is creating.
You what would be really cool? After every project is released in like 2030, weeks could se a modding project call BEYOND TAMRIEL, featuring Summset Isles, Peyandonea, and Akavir! Just imagine having all of that in Skyrim!!!!

Colovia Pre-Release? Why not. That whole area seems so much further complete, and it would go with Bruma very nicely. Why wait so many more years to have all of Cyrodiil out, when you can release a massive area with 4 more cities and so many quests. It can then keep the interest alive while you work on the rest of Cyrodiil with the main quest coming in the final release.
They've said many times that releasing in pieces will take too much time and effort (breaking up cross county quests) but honestly I think the pressure for release is (rightfully) insanely high and a Colovia release would be a really smart move, especially if they have the manpower to put towards that and have it ready for release within a year and a half from now. So yeah I'm with you on team Colovia release!
Releasing Colovia would push back the full release of Cyrodiil back years and we just want to get this content out in full as fast as possible, among other issues.

I don't see how another pre release would push back the full release, as it would all need to be completed anyway
@@ciaranwhitehead3906 A few reasons. We would have to fully finish Colovia and support its release. We'd have to actively alter existing quests that take you out of Colovia, adjust leveled lists, plan for having to redo VA twice, actively bugfix and QA Bruma and Colovia release, and that's just the surface of it. Colovia in a release state wouldn't be a "we have to do it anyway' direct merge as a release takes more work than is needed in just getting it in a decent state. We have to consider borders, asset management, and more. And since Nibenay is going to follow very close to Colovia's 'completion' anyway it would be a waste of time to do all that when it won't take much longer after that release to finish Nibenay as well.

I can't wait for all the Beyond Skyrim project to be done so I can do a mega play-through of Skyrim with all of them installed. The mother of all Skyrim play-throughs.
genuinely once all of the beyond skyrim projects are done, i don’t think any elder scrolls games could top it. imagine starting your character in black marsh and questing around there then making your way to skyrim and becoming dragon born and retiring in elswyr. With the amount of content they are saying is in cyrodil alone you could probably put multiple hundreds if not a thousand hours into one save

I'm honestly more excited for this than i am for Skyblivion. Both projects are impressive in their own right, but giving me a reason to start a skyrim playthrough again will be a blast of nostalgia, as I havent actually played the game in years

The Beyond Skyrim project is one of the the most exciting things in the modding scene.
Aside from the obvious release date concerns I have one major technical question:
Will the game even be able to handle having all the beyond skyrim projects installed simultaneously?
We know for fact that the game has a hard cap for how many references(temporary/persistent) it can have at any given point (just over 1 million).
Obviously all the BS projects will be in ESM form so that should cut down the reference count significantly at least for the temporary ones, however going by the fact that BSbruma has 130k references alone (10%), it seems likely if it is even possible to run the game with all the BS projects simultaneously, you pretty much wouldn't have any room left for basically any other mods in your load order.
I'm not even talking about plugin count at this point either.
Would be great to get some feedback about this @Beyond Skyrim

This was fantastic, great to see how much work actually goes into it. Its awesome to see how much you've accomplished, and I was astounded how the statistics made Cyrodiil seem much more populated then Skyrim!
I really can't wait to play the finished product, keep up the good work you heroes
