      Thanks, yes, I removed the snorkel a long time ago and I removed the rubber piece completely because I believe it was affecting the air flow by flapping around a little, Good Reply Thanks 👍

    I ride kpm200, same base bike. glade I found your Videos . how has the exhaust and airbox changed Performance and fiel mileage?

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Рік тому

      With the combination of the exhaust upgrade and air box mod the engine is more responsive, and it opens up the upper RPM range and allows the engine to pull in the upper range better. My top speed so far is 81mph GPS verified and it will hold 70-75mph on the interstate. Unless of course there is strong winds or steep grades. At 17HP rated, the little 200cc can only do so much but it is a surprisingly strong running engine for 200cc. As far as fuel mileage, I just got back from a 273-mile ride and averaged 88mpg! It's really too soon after the exhaust install to get solid numbers but that is where I'm at right now. Thanks for watching and commenting, the KPM is a cool bike I'd like to have one of those as well.👍

    Hey there I finally ordered one of these after watching your videos for the last few months, and I'm getting a few odds and ends to have ready when it arrives. I've got oil filters ordered, a phone mount, and the tail-mounted pack thing, but still need a few spark plugs. I've got some C7HSA's from a 125 that might work but probably aren't gapped to the same spec, any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance and thank you for all the kpr200 videos

      Hello Ryan, that's awesome, congratulations on the new bike! The spark plug that I use is NGK Iridium CPR8EAIX-9 and it should last for as long as you own the bike I would guess. Sounds like you are onto a good start, I love the center stand and handlebar risers the most I think. Those are a little more difficult to find though. A couple of places that I buy from; aliexpress.com Engtb.com Superbuy.com I hope you have a blast on the bike and it is as reliable as my bike.

    Great reviews......Do you feel any diffrence in power if you leave the snorkel out?

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  9 місяців тому

      Thank you Cedric! I removed the snorkel at the same time as I modified my exhaust and I liked it, so I haven’t messed with the snorkel again. The bike does feel like it has more power and higher revving with the snorkel out and modified exhaust though

    Hello, I am very interested in purchasing this bike and these videos help tremendously. Quick question, does this bike have a storage compartment underneath the passenger seat? I heard some people say it doesn't and some people say it does but it's very small. I am just wondering if I can keep paperwork for the bike in a storage compartment without having to buy an external one.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Рік тому

      Hello Talin, yes it does have a very small storage compartment and yes you could put paperwork there. If you watch my alarm install video you will see it. Here is my KPR playlist ua-cam.com/play/PL7hap-B19l0qqXNSSQJfTH9pOgL7ydyiR.html
      Also if you buy from Venom use my herbiesgarage50off code and get $50 off your purchase. It's not much but every little bit helps. Good luck with your new bike, I love mine.

    Should I spray oil lightly on both sides of the foam piece? And how would you go about cleaning the red filter?

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Рік тому +1

      Hello Tac! If you live in a dusty area like with a lot of rock road dust then very lightly spray on the outside of the foam piece. Too much oil will cause a rich condition as it won’t be able to breathe properly. So very lightly, myself I don’t coat mine at all and just wash it out when I service my paper filter. The paper filter can be gently blown out with compressed air when needed or every other air filter service. In other words replace filter next time blow filter next replace filter and so on.

    what kind of lights are those on the side?

    • @herbiesgarage681

      They are 4 LED lights that I mounted for the alarm system, I wanted the alarm to be stand alone with no ties to the bike other than the battery, Thanks for asking

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Рік тому

      Hello Fastestman, no, I don't believe the oil change interval would affect the engine light. If you look in your owners manual it describes how to retrieve the code set by the ecu. Your welcome

      You can buy them on Amazon, NGK iridium CPR8EAIX-9. They are a little pricey but worth it. You can find them elsewhere a little cheaper but they are a little hard to find. Hope this helps

    We're is the spark plug located??

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Рік тому +1

      It’s on the right side of the bike behind the fairing. If you take both seats off and that small plastic on the right side that has 1 bolt and 2 screws in it then you can squeeze your hand behind the fairing and pull the spark plug wire off and unscrew the spark plug with a socket and a small flex head ratchet
