And is it possible to adjust it without taking out shock, just by middle stand and removing seats and panels?
You can't really tell what position it is in until you go to adjust it. Yes, you can adjust it on the bike, I only removed it to better show the procedure. It's not too difficult but can be a knuckle buster if your not careful. Good luck and your welcome!
Thanks and another question; Does it has only 3 positions? So if we continue to rotate it by wrench after 3 knock sound would it come back to first position or just get softer?

I see you said not until 500 miles, I just bought a kpx and use this replacing the shipping oil, has 37 miles should I drain use none synthetic
I was going to replace the oil filter an oil at 50 miles, u think I’ll be alright til then?
I have heard of people using full synthetic right from the start and be okay but in my opinion I wouldn’t run synthetic until 500 miles minimum. The main reason is that you want the rings to seat really good and synthetic might limit the ability to seat as good. I’m sure it wouldn’t be very noticeable but it could have negative effects in the long run. I personally would switch it out to conventional oil especially since it’s only a little over a quart of oil. But that’s entirely up to you
@@Nicktaylorfishing yes, you’ll be fine until then I’m sure
@ thanks
@@herbiesgarage681 same brand t6 but non synthetic? Or what do you use
Good video Jerry. I was surprised to see that sitting on the bike made the beam rise. I guess I never thought much about the weight distribution on the bike. It's cold and miserable here in the northeast but so far all the snow has been to the south. Go figure. Be well and stay warm.
@@rickrogers2649 Thank you, I bet it’s really cold in the northeast, I’m hoping for an early spring! Stay warm and safe Rick
It is cold there, no doubt! It is unusually cold here in Florida, but still no snow. There are some LP Gas Torpedo heaters that are pretty cheap right now. Stay warm. God bless!
@@captcraig777 I do have a dual element Buddy heater that works great but I’m out of propane 😂 Once I get my work space finished it shouldn’t require too much to heat it, I think an electric heater will be fine. I’m surprised Florida has the cold weather too. Jerry in Louisiana said it’s cold there too. Stay warm my friend and God Bless!
Do you have the original inner tubes that came with it? I just got mine and was riding around and my front tire went flat.
@@myface6739 yes I do, my bike has about 1200 miles on it now. I haven’t lost any air pressure in mine. Did something puncture the tire? How many miles is on the bike?
@@herbiesgarage681 I checked over the tire, I can't see anything wrong with it. I'm pretty sure I just got a bad tube on the front. The rear seems fine. I only have around 50 miles and it leaks all the air out around the valve stem. I think it just broke somehow.
@ If you bought it from venom, I would contact them and let them know about it. Take pictures and let them know the miles and it’s still new. I’m sure they’ll take care of it, you might have to replace the tube or have someone do it for you though

I want to ask a few questions. Ive had carbureted bikes before. (Boom Vader 125) And have installed my own nibbi carb on it. I am not a master mechanic but i can wrench. I live in Florida where the weather is temperamental and have had alot of issues with my previous bile amd cold starts. I want to know if you have any solid advice for me when it comes to working with carburetors as someone still trying to learn. How do i get rid of low idle cold starts? How do i know ive tuned my bike properly because ill tune it and it'll be good then ill go to cold start amd it craps the bag. I get really lost in carburetors and they frustrate me alot sometimes. Any help would be appreciated.
@@shardulferrer2117 Hello, carburetors can be a little difficult sometimes. Nibbi carburetors I have found are very finicky and I can see how people have a difficult time tuning them. My opinion is that people start off on the wrong foot. Meaning that they buy a nibbi that is oversized for the engine and then want to tune it to make it run properly. A 250 should run a 28mm Nibbi and nothing bigger unless you’ve done major engine modifications. It’s always best when you have the right size carburetor and you’re ready to tune, run it and see where the problems are. Idling is going to come from the pilot jet and the idle mixture screw. Pilot jet is idle to 1/4 throttle, the needle from 1/4-3/4 and the main 3/4 to full throttle. Now there will be some overlap in circuits. But if idle and cold start is your only issue then you need to focus on pilot jet and idle mixture screw. If it runs great but cold start is an issue then you will want to work on the mixture screw. Now remember on some occasions depending on the temperature you still might have to use the fuel enrichment ( choke) lever. When you pull it that allows more fuel for cold starts. Now after saying all of that I’m wondering why you don’t want to run the stock carb on the ghost? It runs very good with it, all it needs is a main jet change. Good luck with whatever you do
@herbiesgarage681 I intend on running the stock carb. I just have had a lot of issues with stock carbs in the past. I struggle with confidence in tearing into a project or fixing something because I get nervous if I'm doing something wrong and break something. I'm hoping to get a ghost here soon when my financial aid kicks in and I won't be left with much money after I purchase it and want to make sure I'm not putting my eggs in a basket with a hole if you know what I mean. I made that mistake with the Vader 125 which was a really difficult bike. It would run good for a week and something would break and it was like that for a year. I'm trying to make the best deco for myself here and improve my confidence in wrenching on bikes.
@ I like my ghost a lot it runs flawlessly but if I was in your situation the KPM 200 would be more appealing for a lot of reasons. I know it’s a couple of hundred more but I believe the quality and reliability makes it worth it. If you just don’t like the styling then I completely understand. The ghost is more of a raw bike I’d call it and would need some attention right out of the box but not so with the Kpm, it’s pretty much ready to go as soon as you get it properly assembled and the PDI done.
Nice job! Not as much came out as went in, since there are no leaks one wonders where it went, since oil doesn't usually 'evaporate'.
@@Visionery1 Thanks, I’m assuming someone changed the oil and didn’t put enough oil back in, just my opinion though 😊
Man I really miss mine. Bought it for 700 back in 2018 sold it in 2021 for 1000 after completing the bike with all original parts and 3d printed tool box cover.
I know what you mean! I always regret selling my bikes, and the KL was such a sweet bike even for its age. It ran well and drove so good

Thanks for the update Jerry. You are the man with a plan! Got me on the edge of my seat waiting for a new KPV150 lesson. Still love my little scoot, but I have another in the works, too. I'll keep you in the loop. Happy New Year!
@@davidmiller8446 Thank you David! Okay sounds good 👍🏻
Happy New Year Jerry! Your new workspace looks great. The KPT400 looks pretty cool, though I am not sure how I feel about all of that space under the headlight. It would be great if it comes with all that luggage for traveling! I am looking forward to 2025! God bless.
@@captcraig777 Happy New Year Capt, I know what you mean about the space, it might look better in person though, we’ll see. I’ll need that luggage, I hope it does! God bless!
Looks like you're going to have a nice dedicated shop there Jerry. Looking forward to the "grand opening" 😁 My garage is pretty well organized after many years. Everything is on wheels including the refrigerator, and gets re-arranged depending if I'm working on a 2 or a 4 wheeler. No heat or A/C though. A Happy and healthy New Year to you and yours sir.
@@rickrogers2649 Thank you, I wished I could be more organized, just never seems to be enough time 😊 Happy New Year Rick!
Neat video Herbie. That shed will be fantastic for the bike garage. I knew of the KPT 400. I cant believe they will finally be available. That is AWASOME. I feel like I will be cheating on my KPX if I get one. LOL. Decisions, Decisions......
@@tk421upgrade3 Thank you, there’s always room for one more 😂
@herbiesgarage681 I might need a place to hide it. Lol. All the best to you. I appreciate your videos and content very much. Happy New Year to you and your family.
@ 😂 Happy New Year!
Nice new shop! Cant wait to see it finished! Do you still have the KL250?
@@haasfpv1222 unfortunately I don’t, it went to a good home. I usually buy and sell every year or two. I don’t keep most bikes longer than 2 years. I like to be able to sample as many great bikes as I can. I enjoyed the KL while I had it, it was a strong running bike. And Thank you!!
You make good video Herbie. Cool to see your new Studio B. See ya next time.
@@FnLn55 Thank you, take care
