@@the20hunk Actually House is one of the most emotionally involving series of TV history. The dialogue in most of the script is deep and philosophical... The thing that make House different is that every and each episode has its own philosophical depth and idea. That's why most people who I've met don't get emotional experience watching House, not the one they are supposed to have. House is really magnificent, only if you comprehend what it's meant for...
I'm no where near as intelligent or useful as House ( or Holmes, the Conan Doyle character he was loosely based on) but watching this series prompted me into therapy to address my lack of patience with stupidity and self serving assholia. I am, by nature, an ass to people that I see as being oxygen thieves. Gossip, pop culture, bubblegum music, etc., drives me up a wall. If what I'm doing/ watching/ talking about has no meaning, I very rarely give it the time of day. This has led to me alienating a huge cross section of humanity. The whys and wherefores of my being aside, I finally decided to try to fix or adapt myself so that I can deal with the things I consider frivolous or unnecessary in order to get along with the greater part of humanity. While recovering from a triple bypass at 40 due to a mixture of congenital issues and a slight proclivity towards being a foodie, I rewatched the series with a focus on how House slowly destroys himself. It felt like looking in a mirror. I don't want to be that. I want to get back to that almost childlike state where I was still hopeful and in awe of the world around me. I want to be able to pass that on to my kids.
Everybody lies... And at the end of the day everybody dies. In the words of Mick Jagger "You can't always get what you want." I've always love that song.
I cried so bad during most of the episodes of House. Amber's death episode being one of them.
you need psychiatric help... my 12 year old sister dont even cry during house
Dev D so empathy and imagination are symptoms?
