As someone who watched the games as a kid, big Jordan fan, it was really hard to hold tears in that scene. This song made the whole series better, and that scene was the best scene in any sports documentary i have ever seen. Deep meaning.

I mean, "The Last Dance" soundtrack has been spot on amazing. But when I heard this I lost it. I was a Massive Attack fan as a teenager but I didn't know this existed. That's my fault...this cover is absolutely terrific! Thank you.

This really is a gorgeous, emotional cover. The original is one of my favorite songs, period, but this version captures the haunting quality and vulnerability of the original, while making it the artist's own. Wow--a difficult song to cover well.
Check aurora's and newton faulkners (live in elevator) versions of this song, they are both so amazing at owning this song as well!
I love artists that cover and create something fresh and new by doing so, if you can't own somebody elses song, you shouldn't cover it in my opinion!

I’ve played basketball for 16 years now, my dad and I have bonded extremely over it. Waking up every other morning to play with him at 5 AM at the local YMCA, watching old Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan highlights with him, coaching every non school team I was ever a part of-he’s still around and kicking ass on the court at 50 years old, but my god if this scene from The Last Dance didn’t just make me bawl like a child. Love you Pop, love this game for bringing us together

My good taste in music, Massive attack and listening to Jose Gonzalez for over a decade brought me here. I was happy to see the Last Dance use this song in the climactic scene where MJ wins the title without his dad being there.

remember binging this video in the early days of youtube. So happy I found Jose back then because he instantly became one of my favorite songwriters and voices of all time.
