We bought Instant pot Max from US having an option to sterilize at 15PSI with 118 degree Celsius, after reading some serious articles of scientists usings similar Instant Pot products as a cheap solution for on field lab work. Works very smooth, queit and efficient, very nice tool with all the automatic pressure regulation, sealants and convient controls. It's not very big, though, only 3-4 jars of 500ml fit inside. All in all, very happy, having some painful experience with autoclaves in labarotories I have worked before, the usual headache for lab workers, not a problem at all with these pressure cookers if only the practical application is needed (doesn't have necessary accreditation to use it for scientific papers :) ).
Im using a Swiss made 12l pressure cooker, the quality is amazing and i never had problems with contamination :) It was around 220€ but its worth it. For now the size is ok but im planning to buy something bigger when im ready with all my tests.
I got the exact same size Chinese pressure cooker, overall I'm happy with this product considering the price I paid, AUD$100 for the pressure cooker and another $50 for delivery from China. Initially I'm not very happy with the bottom dish weld which has numerous visual welding defects(undercut, inclusion etc), so I contacted the seller and got partial refund. Apart from these welding defects, it works well so far, it's been 2 months now. The way I control this pressure cooker is to use a Python script to constantly turn on and off power for a pre-determined time via TP LINK Kasa smart plug. But later on I found it is easier to just use a voltage down converter to adjust the voltage to halfway around 110v, and use a smart plug to turn off power after 2 hours. Again the weld defects is still a big concern, so I upgraded to another 75L one from China.
Hey, I was using a similar model, but it would not reach 15 PSI, what about your cooker? Kos was great:) Maybe a little too windy, but the hotel/food/beach/view was awesome:D
@@HappyMushrooms it works mabe too well it goes over 15 psi to the point i have to release some steam to balance it .its in 17 psi constant on low heat i have to watch it not to go very high it seems that the steam regulator is for 20 psi maybe.i have to monitor it so it wont built a lot if pressure but its fine

Happy that I accidentally found (and subscribed) your channel. It is nice to see another enthusiast about mycology in Germany. I was about to order the exact same autoclave for 200 EUR. Since you reported so many issues, I think I will import the Presto from the US. This will cost me a lot more, but hopefully save me some nerve on the long run. The All American seems to be no option. It is already quite expensive in the US. Shipping plus taxes alone is almost the same price as a niew Presto. Crazy!
Jens, another option to control electric heater is to buy simple controller. These controllers usually are used to control the speed of electric engines, it simply lets to regulate the voltage from 0V to 220V and it costs about 8 Euros.
Thank you for your answer!;) I have thought about that solution, but I could not find any information if my "china-cooker" would work with lower voltage (I have just read that it wont work with every electrics).
Just discovered your channel and insta suscribed. Such a good technical explanation in every video, would love to see more content. Also i have a question ¿what type of plastic are the bags made of? Mimes are melting on PC. Yours look amazing
Are you sure that there are many alternatives in Europen market? Because I believe it is almost impossible to find a good PC in Europe that could reach 15psi. I believe it has something to do with European regulations that allow much lower pressure, like 8-11psi. I am talking about the ones that you can buy in the stores, not the custom made.
I'm from the states and i use a presto 23qt. they are awesome and very large; however, there is no heating element inside as with your two examples. you either need a electric stove or a gas stove, or even an outdoor propane burner works also. I'm sorry the shipping for the All Americans is so expensive for you. I have been looking at those for a while now and am about to pull the trigger!! I have a couple friends that already use the AA and they swear by it! best of growing
just ordered a Presto 23 quart from the USA. Shipping isn't too bad, but don't forget the damn taxes! Mine is en route right now, hope to get it in the next couple of weeks.
I am using a 700 euro version of autoklav.at/ . It started leaking once and I got space parts within a week for free. Great support, good products... but pricy. The All American Pressure cooker are great, but as shipping was 200 Euro to germany... that was not an option

couldn't you take the relief valve off and use a shaker weight for pressure , much safer .

Its not the size, EU pressure cookers don't go to 15psi.
Oh, and never buy PC from untrustable source. In EU and USA PC need to go trough a lot of tests. 15psi is not a joke.
Hey. Many alternatived on my Market i think. What other products would you recommend
