Glad we are getting a double feature! I really like seeing this live version as it shows who is doing what parts. Tim & Chance are doing the really low notes in the beginning. Chance has his guitar & Austin is playing a mandolin. Adam is holding down the percussion sounds. And Austin & Rob are adding a fuller sound with their harmonies. Wish it was the longer version of the song. These guys are so supportive of each other's talents & projects.
Opera Rob is amazing. Plus he does the Skull and Bones in the background. The double bass at the beginning is really a great addition. Chance's evil laugh at the end is perfect.Really like this earworm! Thanks for your reaction!!
I keep watching these videos and am so impressed from the writing of the song to the singing to their playing instruments. I loved the deep voices and the operatic tenors. And Adam was doing everything else in between. Chance’s love of the sea certainly gave him this awesome opportunity to show how devoted Home Free is to putting on a show for the world. This game is probably going to be #1. The song already is! Your enthusiasm was also #1. I can see the two of sitting around trying to outplay the other! Another great reaction!!
I can't get enough of this live or lyric. Tim made the whole ship rattle right out of the water for sure. I love a good bass, and Tim is definitely great!
I'm looking forward to them doing that in a concert. As good as the first video was, the live version was so much better. It was also fun when this video came out on the Ubisoftstream, and all theses gamers were taken aback by that "bass under the bass". Or when they realized Adam was beatboxing... As much s we enjoy this, we at least know what all of them can do, the people who didn't know Home Free were not prepared
It’s epic isn’t it?!! Chance wrote a banger! I love it and like you said it should be in a movie or at Disney World for the ride! Tim goes insanely low and love the boys chorus of Skull & Bones. They say the song will be in the game. Hope so! The game looks great btw. Love it! Good reactions and ty for doing both videos! ☠🥰 Adam was great too!😃
This song is more than awesome and fantastic! I don’t have words to describe it! Chance should be very proud of writing it and all should be proud of how they sing it! Love, love, love it!!! ❤❤❤
In the live version, it sure looks like Adam is joining Tim and Chance in that fab beginning. Is that wrong? We know Adam can go low. And who did the laugh?
@stevenhoth6843 we will re-watch and get back to you! In all honesty we didn't know that Adam could go low so we are intrigued. That laugh question has been everywhere! Dawg thinks it's Tim but will see if we can confirm it 😉
I'm not keen on the lyric version, because to me it sounds over-produced. Pirate ships tended to carry small crews (particularly when the agreement on joining the crew was a share of the spoils) but it sounds like there are a hundred people on this ship! The live version is a different matter, with Adam Chance really rocking the guitar and the tenors producing those Puccini vibes. The original live had YT subtitles,, which were as bad as they always are - half a minute out of sync and apparently written by someone with no previous contact with English. When Chance introduced the song, instead of Skull and Bones, the subtitles said Skull and Balls. I can't imagine how he felt! but he put it up on his Instagram. I'm not sure what all those explosions are for in what we see of the game. Pirate ships usually carried no cannon, cos why would you try to sink a ship you want to rob? It also meant that the pirate ships were lighter and therefore faster. They depended on surprise and a fast attack, not shooting cannonballs at the prize. Is it just me or is there a feeling of nerves at the beginning of the live ? I don't mean that in bad way,, but the band look as if they know this is important. Chance must have been feeling it but in fact is the only one who doesn't look a bit scared. I'm intrigued by Austin's mandolin - we seem to hear it after he's slung it behind his back. I wonder if there was some sort of looper being used.
Hi Patty! The live performance was def done with backing tracks, it's pretty much standard for these types of gigs (corporate). The vocals were live and augmented with background elements to keep the original drama & effect...
Trivia: Who's mandolin was it? Ans: Chris Chatham's I had asked Chris if he was going to bring his Mandolin for Vet Fest or If we would get some mandolin time with his Gremlins. He said it depends on when he gets his mandolin back from Austin who was borrowing it for a "Project". He is a good secret keeper he never mentioned it was for something this huge or HF as a group project nothing no details . There is no weak link to pry info from. LOL
So since the song was done under contract for the company, it technically belongs to Ubisoft? I assume Home Free can perform and record it, though, since that's advertising for the game. And their beautiful b&w photo is, I hope, from a soon-to-come full-out video with the guys pirating their little hearts out. 🦜🏴☠🚢
I love how Tim and Austin are looking at Chance with big smiles of pride for him. I am so happy they got this huge opportunity they deserve it ❤❤
Ditto !!!!

I could see Rob not even needing a microphone. His voice is so strong. Yup, Opera Rob is in the house.

After the Sea Shanty Medley went viral Ubisoft contacted Home Free for a song Chance wrote it and sang lead I think the laugh is Chance.
I am pretty sure Chance laughed like that in the video with him and his wife when they took us with them for a day.
A home free double feature is always a great thing 😍🔥 the live is sooo much better ❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Really love this song & so do my grandsons, & you can't help but sing along!! ☠️❤️☠️

Austin playing the mandolin was a complete surprise!
@@patriciamcl54 Yes, the mandolin was surprise, but I meant vocally
Tim's bass sounds lower live than on recordings.

TY for doing the double feature! So proud for HF ! Chance wrote an awesome song for the game
Thank you for doing these together! Chance did an amazing job and the guys sound awesome live!
Someone said that Adam was doing throat singing through the into so 3 basses!
🤷♀️

I think Adam is adding overtones or throat singing to the mix, we know he can do it so it's possible.
Adam is doing that drone sound at the beginning.
