@josh i REALLYYYYYYYYY need your help mate! what camera/go-pro? do you use?,cuz from what i remmber from your vids, you've what looks a propper digital camera with video function??? 1 what brands are those 2,what do they roughly cost, and 3 where to get those,im desperately looking for those but i dunno on what to google,i ran out of idea's since i know nothing about it so cant find much. only digital cameras without filming function. so please help me out if you want. btw love ya vids ^_^
I always come to the airport super early not because to avoid any unexpected emergencies, no. I come early because i enjoy being in an airport. I like to observe the airplanes. The clash of cultures when you observe multiple different nationalities is something really fascinating to me. Thank you josh for this video. Good quality as usual.
I fully share your feelings and focus exactly on the same things. Roaming around in a major airport, what a treat...but if possible without a mask (in Europe we got rid of them as fast and as soon as possible).
Agree with your sentiments and Changi is certainly the place to sit/wander and take it all in. And Changi is so clean and tidy and very helpful airlines and shop staff.
Absolutely!! I do the same. I’ll arrive 5 hours early for a 2 hour domestic business flight😂😂. Something about airports just rejuvenates me and just love the feel of it 👍
I’ve flown a Singapore airline round trip once from Sydney to Japan via Singapore when I was 15 and each flight was so comfortable and excited despite only being economy. It was the first time I was on an airplane where they gave hot towels to economy class and I just remember feeling so luxurious at the back of the plane with my school mates 😂
When I started my career as an air steward over 43 years ago, we wouldn't allow anyone to travel in first or business if they were wearing shorts. Towards the end of my career, the average premium class punter would look at home on a Jet2 flight to Lanzarote. How times have changed.
Travelling Latam in November to Brazil, business class, 777-300 in 1-2-1 , and 6 internal sectors in premium economy a320/321 series. 3 week trip, 4 cities Porto Alegre, Florianopolis, Foz do Iguacu , and Rio !
Singapore airline's business class is amazing, my 16 hours flight from SFO to SIN went by in a breeze. Honestly could have flown another 3 or 4 hours with them without complaints. With 80 different dishes ranging from Lobster to steak and you ordered a burger lol.
Hi Josh. You didnt see the main part of the T3 SilverKris lounge. Thats why it was disappointing. You sat in the small drinks section of the lounge which is only 25% of the entire lounge. The main section has a huge food and buffet section, plenty of seating, showers and a rest area. Its on the other side of the entry hallway. We were in this lounge only 2 weeks ago. Better luck next time!
This is correct. He sat at the bar when the rows of hot food is at the main section. There's also a lounge within a longue for 1st class passengers near there.
Love your honesty plus how you always give historical background, cover your own anxieties around flying, being on time, etc. I also love your humor! Singapore Airlines offers a fantasy that you can buy into and play at being noteworthy and special. Not a bad thing, actually a good marketing ploy. They attend to detail. They offer great options, that burger looks so good! Great all round review, thanks!
Hi Josh, been following your channel for ~3 years now. Watching that sub count grow was so exciting yet well expected. The next time your feeling tired or walking alone in a terminal know that there are thousands of us following you on all your social media, waiting for your next update. You're the best aviation review channel on UA-cam, please continue doing what you do best we love your content! I'm 17 years old this year and my goal is to become a pilot for Cathay Pacific!
I always get to the airport early it’s an old habit of mine. I started traveling in the early 1980’s when you were given your seat assignment at check in, very important to me as I wanted to be as far forward as possible to be away from the smokers who were seated in the rear of the aircraft.
Started my flying experiece on turbo prop planes when sad to say we all smoked. All I wanted was a seat away from the loo. I WORE A SMART SUIT, high heels, gloves and looking back was treated like royalty.
Travelling Biz class can be agreed upon as an experience to look forward to by most people. And if that's the case, that lady at the check-in counter really spoilt the experience for passengers. There's no excuses. There's no queue. It's her shift. It's her duty when she dons the uniform.
I loved your comment about Chennai having one of the worst airports. It’s even worse when traveling in a wheelchair and going from an international flight to domestic there, heading to Pune. This tiny man had to push me all the way from the international terminal to the domestic terminal. I didn’t know. Poor guy. Gave him a great tip.
Even by our Indian standards, Chennai Airport is a bad airport... They've been renovating and upgrading the audiotape since more than half a decade... Nothing organized..... All haphazard... What to say?? By comparison, Bangalore and Delhi and especially kochi offer a great service...
I'm in agreement about arriving early especially after getting stuck in a three hour wait at security in Atlanta and missed my flight to NYC. You never know what could happen and more time is always a good thing.
I flew TWA from JFK to Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) in First Class quite a while ago. The flight stopped in Rome, Athens, and Cairo enroute. The flight attendants would make anything you wanted and whenever you wanted it as long as they had the ingredients, and that included hamburgers/cheeseburgers. Yes, there was a menu - but you weren't restricted to it. The FC cabin also had a diner type table with seats so you did not have to eat at your assigned seat.
I like to arrive at airports very early. I always have enjoyed airports, and I like early arrivals much more since getting lounge access several years ago.
I really like the seat configuration, great for a solo traveler or a couple. I completely get what you say about being at the airport early, I'm always there hours in advance in case of any issues, but what better airport in the world to have time to spare than Changi! I've been there so many times (my favourite airport) but never seen it as empty as that! Great review as always - I'm flying with Singapore Airlines from London to Cairns next year, I can't wait, there isn't a better way than long haul with Singapore.✈
the last two times I flew Australia-Singapore-Germany return (2019 and once a month ago) I went with Singapore airlines as their inflight entertainment/crew/food has been great and the flights are decent value for money. much prefer it over Qantas or Lufthansa on this route (economy)
The service really sUcks now in Spore airport, the staffs r not only Sporeans but also frm china, vietnam, msia, philippines and many more. IF they r rude, yes u may do so kindly report him/her to the higher authority; Changi Airport Group. Just fyi.👌🏻
I am old. I flew Singapore Air first class in 2000. Nothing like this fancy set up. Things have really changed. So has Singapore. It was just starting to emerge as the powerhouse it is today. The service was great. They kept bring things to eat and drink so often I started saying no. I love to eat, but they were bringing so much. From having to sit that long and eat that much food, I had the worst gas ever. Being on a crowded plane there as no way to relieve it! Lol!
Hi Josh. Our closest airport is just under an hour away, but I always allow 2 hours to get there, incase the highway is all clogged with traffic. Then I make sure I am still at least 2 hours before my flight, not only so I can enjoy lounge access prior to boarding, but also because my husband and myself have mobility issues, and we need to make sure we don't have to climb any stairs, or that he doesn't have to walk long distances to a remote gate.
For my origin flights out of a smaller "regional" airport I typically get there as late a possible. On the way back I do get their earlier (4hours may be a bit much with my 8 month old) but it helps me ensure I get home that day if something goes slightly off.
Arriving to airports very early is the best because you can enjoy the view and the lounge experience while waiting for your flight in buisness/first class
Yep, that's me too. Early for everything. I love airports and when I lived in London we used to go to Gatwick for a meal when you could eat and watch the planes landing and taking off...those were the days..1975....!
Josh great review on SQ . I flew with them from LHR -SiN -TPE -NAR rtn 25 years ago in Y on the lovely B744. All these years later SQ is still the best airline I have flown with , the cabin crew and service was outstanding.😀
Singapore Air ‘s greatest points in my opinion are always their personal touch and consistency in every class. I travel to Vietnam back in May 2022 using Singapore Airlines and the service couldn’t be any better, fly so many times after that and no airlines have provided me a better service than them. But gotta admit that lady in the check-in counter is too grumpy, I also came at 4/5 AM in the morning to their business class check in and they are so kind and lovely.
I have lounge access they ny American Express Gold card but lounges get sort of boring after a few times, and then its nicer to spend time at home or enjoy the destination a little longer before leaving.
If I had never experienced the awesome SQ BC myself I would wonder why you almost turn into Sam Chui when you are reviewing them. They really make it difficult for you to find flaws and they actually do seem to listen and care when you do and point them out. Thanks for this video Josh. Made me even more exicted to fly their BC again in November
Only flew Singapore Business once in 2000, LA to Singapore. Still miss the experience. Had a Trainer, in red, working the staff. Easily the best travel experience I've ever had. Knew my name when I boarded. Truly next level. So glad they still keep the standard at a high level, no matter what plane you fly. Yes, 747 upstairs.
Josh I am an early arrival person as well. It is to enjoy the airport and its facilities and to do some people watching which is always interesting. But like you any job you are committed too can be taxing because we are seeking the best we can deliver. Have a great time testing the airlines for us all.
Last burger I had was during a United flight from LHR to EWR when I was 12 years old as a kids meal. A McDonald's hamburger which they used to serve. It may still be one of the most memorable meals I've had onboard!

So true... you have to travel w/ same airline back to back over the years to see what changed... which at times isn't always a small change in services/goods airlines provide to each of their classes...
Loved watching your experience on Singapore Airlines Business Airlines. We are flying Business Class with Singapore in February and we are really looking forward to the flight now that we have watched your vlog...........thank you x
I've flown in and out of chennai countless number of times, it can be a bit chaotic but still its not the worst airport in india. Wait till the new integrated terminal opening around December 2022, it will change your experience completely.
I had a bad flight with SQ when I flew from SIN to SFO, but that wasn't the airline's fault. I had about a 100-degree fever and a sore throat for 16 hours feeling like crap is not fun. This was pre-2020, so flying while sick was not taboo.
4:18 not always true though! i got to athens airport (greece) at 5am on low season and it was the same as when i got there at 10am for a previous flight
Josh, I totally feel you. I always come to the airport super early. Der frühe Vogel fängt halt den dicksten Wurm 😉 But seriously, I‘ve been traveling for business for over 20 years now and I am still so excited to be at airports, at lounges, I soak up the atmosphere, I simply love it.
Flew those a couple of times in Biz when they were brand new with MI on HKT-SIN vv. Though quite good for narrow-body, it was nowhere as nice. Also no Champagne on SilkAir and limited Book the Cook vs SQ operated flight. Changi is my favorite airport and SG the airline. Many airlines are good most of the time, if not excellent. What sets SQ apart is that they are excellent every time. If they ever fall short of expectations, they will go out of their way to rectify and compensate. Compare that with filing a complaint with, for example, Thai Airways.
Thanks for sharing the video. I had the Angus burger on SQ business class on my 9am flight from SIN to Brunei. It was delicious. Didn't manage to film it as I was kinda sleepy from a Red Eye flight into SIN. I did finish the burger though 😋
The mould - moisture in the WC meets uninsulated external wall construction, causing rapid cooling of moisture in to water, bacteria in WC and internal warmth = great mould conditions
I am a hardcore planner and part of that plan is getting to the airport early! Had issue couple weeks ago in Phoenix which was stress free because we were there 4 hours early!
I've had a burger on a flight a few times, but not recently. I flew 1st class SAN-ATL on Delta Airlines in 2013 and 2014 on a fairly regular basis. During those years a burger was offered as a 'standard' selection. To my surprise all were quite good, but they weren't Angus. I can imagine how good your burger was on SQ.
Thank you Josh! I always like to get to the airport 4 hours before, I find it so much more relaxing and less stressful and if things go wrong at least I have time to put it right. I will put it to the test in 3 weeks when I head to Jamaica 😃
We never doubt you work very hard at what you do. You're so cheerful and we enjoy your travels and proficient reviews. I look forward every weekend to enjoying the travels. Good looking burger too!
If I’m connecting to a international flight I get to the airport at least 4 hours early. Mostly to cover any delays. If my first flight is a hour behind I would still have 3 hours to get through security.
Great review Josh. I'm flying SQ Premium LHR - PER in a couple of weeks and I was surprised to see that you can also 'book the cook' in premium economy too with a decent selection of dishes to choose from, but of course not the same selections as business or first.
SIA front desk lady could be grumpy because she was being videoed at 4.00 am - haha. Anyway, enjoyed your video, as always. Btw, I totally agree with Josh to be very early at the airport (I do that always) because you never know what is in store at the very last minute, if you decided to arrive.... at the very last minute. Cheers mate ! Greetings from 🇲🇾 🇲🇾
Early better than been late for your flight I think the same. Where you where for your coffee you can ask for food from the staff they will get some for you.
Been fortunate enough to fly Singapore Airlines four times on their SQ21 and SQ22 route (longest flight in the world) when it was all Business Class. What a wonderful experience.
I arrive early, simply because i love good airports. Love the architecture, plane watching, walking around, chilling. It's a really refreshing experience.
My flight on SQ’s 737 Max got delayed by 3 hours. In the end, they had to change the aircraft to the exact one you flew on, MBG! Aside from the delay, my first flight on the MAX was an enjoyable experience.
I definitely agree with getting to the airport super early. You can relax and enjoy your flight. The lounge did need some sandwiches or sweet roll would have been lovely as well.
I’m a big fan of the SQ. it’s the little details. For example even their safety video is great, with all the tourist destinations from the country. They get the little details so so right
Travelled SQ business class from SYD to Bali in May/June 2022. The service wasn't as amazing as the reviews I have seen. Hopefully that is a one off and things are now improving as travel gets back to normal.
Another fabulous video, as usual! Superb review! Thanks for sharing a bit of behind the scenes info whilst enjoying piano music. I've really been enjoying your videos, at least I can travel all around the world vicariously through you, and your fantastic attitude and sense of humor are most enjoyable. I also really got a kick out of you and Noel Phillips on your travels. Thanks so much, Josh. Keep up the great work!
I like to be at the airport early too! It’s the atmosphere, which gets me excited for the trip ahead! Also never know, may bump into you and have a quick greeting and chat!
Hi Josh i am the exact same as you im at checkin 3-4 hours before departure as if a problem with your booking or documents you have time to to take action im Scottish but i have a bit of German in me being very punctual !!!
Many years ago when I worked in the hotel industry, in Montreal suburb, I was doing maintenance on the weekends and the guy that was there overnight was preparing meals for room service, and cooking muffins and breakfast stuff ready for 6am. I was happy to get leftovers, I would munch on at my 10:30 break, from croissants to pastries, to bacon! So my comment is.. you should be able to order food 24/7 in the lounge when you are paying the premium ticket for business or first class.
More than the plane, it's also the food & service! Thanks again for sharing your journey. Crew: "Our standards may be higher than most, but for us, it is simply the standard. Our culture. Our DNA. Please let us know how we can be better. Thank you for flying with us. And until our next trip together again, be safe. Goodbye for now."
The use of textiles in your seat space was really warm and elegant. So many cabins today are white or grey sterile plastic environments. Thanks for the review. I must make a burger for lunch tmrw !
I'm with you Josh, i have always arrived at the airport between 3.5 and 4 hrs before my flight. Good people watching, great lounges and interesting stories. I would not have it any other way.

Very aptly put! They have to deal with people like me.
It must be wonderful to travel with the best airlines in the world.
Josh, I totally feel you. I always come to the airport super early. Der frühe Vogel fängt halt den dicksten Wurm 😉
But seriously, I‘ve been traveling for business for over 20 years now and I am still so excited to be at airports, at lounges, I soak up the atmosphere, I simply love it.
Nice report. But how utterly hideous the floor patterns are at Singapore airport. What were they thinking?
Agree 100%! early is always best!!!
That is certainly a first rate airline.....nice experience!
I’m finally going on my first ever flight this month and I’m excited but nervous aswell
I religiously try to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure, sometimes 4 hours depending on the departure airport and time of year.
I am a hardcore planner and part of that plan is getting to the airport early! Had issue couple weeks ago in Phoenix which was stress free because we were there 4 hours early!
I simply love Singapore. I have flown many times with them, and I have NEVER had a bad experience.
I respect your choice of after breakfast drink
Another great review! PS I don't believe it's mold - it's the dust and dirt that they never cleaned.
I do try to get to the airport a few hours before the official check-in time.
singapore airline flight attendants are super nice. at the back of the plane they have treats you can take if your feeling snacky.
Great review on Singapore Airlines Josh👌🏻
Nice hospitality by the crew
Greetings from 🇲🇾 🇲🇾
wow the quality of your video is outstanding!
Get there early. Enjoy all traveling has to offer
That lounge in Singapore hasn’t changed. It’s nice when it’s not busy.
This would have to be one of the best seats you can get on any 737 anywhere...
I always show up extra early if I can help it. I like to charge my phone if needed or get some food and drink in the lounges.
I love being at the airport early. I also just love the morning.
Does Air Asia fly Sydney to Bali? If so you can enjoy their Premium Flatbed option and their famous delicious food, cheaper than SQ Business Class.
Also never know, may bump into you and have a quick greeting and chat!
flying sing bus from syd to singapore and singapore to sfo. thanks for the tip about booking the chef. definitely will do that
I always make a point of getting to the airport early. I figure it's better to sit around and wait rather than risk missing my flight
My fav airline ! Hello from singapore !
Congratulations to you taking a great Business Class in Singapore Airline in 2022!❤❤❤
Thank you for a great review, as always. I also love to be at the airport hours early to check out the movements.
The Singapore airport is looking very luxurious with the carpet on the bottom.
Josh what are doing? Don't take risks like this flying on a 737-max. If that plane came up on my itinerary, I would look to change flights.
I wish I could fly business class - just once in my life.
Wishes come true❤
The use of textiles in your seat space was really warm and elegant. So many cabins today are white or grey sterile plastic environments. Thanks for the review. I must make a burger for lunch tmrw !
I'm with you Josh, i have always arrived at the airport between 3.5 and 4 hrs before my flight. Good people watching, great lounges and interesting stories. I would not have it any other way.
Yes Josh on getting to the Airport early! 💯😊 x
