The Monkees perform 'Every Step Of The Way' on this US TV show.
This video is available elsewhere, but this is the best quality both in terms of picture and audio I have come across.
I seem to remember a longer version of this, with Peter playing with a slinky in the wings...am I thinking of something else?

I'll always remember when I used to name-call Jason Funch cuckoo daughter. Thus, I cackled like the Joker/Jack Napier. Having done so. It's also amazing that I didn't name-call Jason Johnson cuckoo daughter; just because he goofed. He made the wrong decision when he agreed to get married to the Baharainian Muslim woman named Mariam Al- Kalifa. This was right long before the 9/11 tragedy occurred. Jason Johnson had no choice but to do the right thing. That's file a divorce case on her. He already found out that it doesn't work for a poor Mormon American man to stay married to a rich Baharainian Muslim woman. This isn't "The Beverly Hillbillies." ☪️

This is so surreal for me. 1960s Monkees are so ingrained in my mind, that this is like some weird futuristic time machine they stepped into. Yet, I have no issues with seeing them (RIP Davy) in their age seventies.
No one can bring down the house like the monkeys!!!!!! They got me rocking in the kitchen when I'm cooking! They got me rocking in the living room when I'm dusting ! They got me rocking when I'm making my bed ! In the laundry room ! They keep me dancing up a storm.! They got me singing in the shower dancing in the water . Thanks so much for posting! I liked the video of this song so much. I think they weren't putting on any pretense about lip syncing this song. Peter even points out the price tag the show forgot to take off on the guitar, well unless that was a bit. Anyway EVERYBODY looked crazy in the 80's. I couldn't find any decent looking clothes back then either. But The Monkees in their 40's sure looks nice to me!
I thought I had heard all the Monkees songs but I've never heard this one. I guess it wasn't a hit for them. Rest in peace Peter and Davy.

It's Tali I love the Monkees they are so great I used to watch there show I have some LP's a dick of there's they were my favorit group and they made me laugh. Very sad that that Dave & Perer are no longer with us but we will all ways the memories of The great Monkees.🎶🎤

I wonder it the Monkees album "Pool it"(worse name ever for a record)would have been a hit if MTV or record stations played some of it..This song isnt bad but "Heart & Soul" was really good!.This album even had a heavier sound that was popular in the late 80's hairbands..

This was 1987 ,everyone had long hair and Davy had a mullet in the 80's MTV banned them from MTV In 1987 soSolid gold and Nickelodeon and other talk shows they needed to sell "POOL IT" if they stayed on MTV ,they might have better luck

I want to be someone who moves to the song and dance, thus not play any kind of game with anyone. Did you notice that's totally the opposite/reversed of saying: I like to play football? My father George D. Shelton was simple minded, right long before I ever came into this world. He didn't think I was going to answer so foolishly. I used to say I like to play football when I was 8 years old back in June 1974.

@@lindas.5191 Apparently BillY Davis is 86 and Marylin is 80. I remember them both when they were in their 20's. They had some big hits. I think they are close to their 50 wedding anniversary. Those were to go old days.

Oh no, there were worse. They were on some show in the '80s wearing oversized suits that were awful. And Peter's hair was very long. Also, it looked like he hadn't shaved in days, but that was fashion back then.
