amir Khaled if they're both working properly, i'll take the MaxxNoise over the ISB, it's almost one litre larger, so has a bit more power than the cummins.
crazyjdkid duly noted, however with the larger displacement of the DT, wouldn't engine braking be improved? With the ISB, i get nil, and with the DT, i get a little (still an improvement)
+jfsa380 It might, but there is a lot of factors in that. The compression ratio is high in the Cummins, that could lead to a stronger engine brake? It's hard to say with technical spec as there are no engine brake measurements. But a lot of it has to do with the transmission as well. I have never seen a DT with an exhaust brake either, which I know the ISB exhaust brake is extremely strong.
crazyjdkid our trucks (penske) do not have engine or exhaust brakes on any vehicle (except the tractors). Since that is so, the only way to get these things slowed down, except burn through the brakes, is downshifting. The MaxxForces seem to respond better than the ISB's, but this is just my very unscientific opinon.
Yea u mean maxxforce and 7.6 liter engine and they have so much more power than the Cummins and something great about them is they have no diesel exhaust fluid
+amir Khaled I would disagree. The Maxxforce DT is really underpowered compared to the Cummins ISB. And just because it doesn't take DEF doesn't mean it's better! The Maxxforce has a complicated and failure prone egr system that was a horrible design. Hence the reason the don't make the DT anymore.
Garbage engine. Trust me. Seen plenty of trucks go through them in under a 100k. The 1999 is still on the road. My opinion international has took a dive off the deep end. They ride nice when they work. Not sure why the turning radius is so much shittier. But yeah maxxforce or Durastar. Doesn’t matter international is complete garbage today.
amir Khaled not possible cause, the Def system has sensors that can tell if it is the actual fluid. If they ran water it would throw engine codes and put your engine in limp mode
That is definitely So Much quieter, more responsive, smoother, peppier and more than my Max Force DT with 230 HP it's not even funny. It's almost like International was being coerced and or paid all these years to make a crappy motor intentionally, seeing Cummins blowing their doors in their own trucks all the while...I don't know, hard to wrap my skull around that one .?? Hope I can update to a Cummins before my MFDT dies !!
The DT466E was a great motor, a dinosaur, but still a bulletproof motor. Navistar tried to get around/loophole the EPA's emissions regulations and it came back and shot them in the foot. Pretty much killed their great engine family they had. And it's had to believe that the Cummins is almost 1.0L smaller of an engine too. Now you won't be able to make the DT any quieter, but you should be able to modify it to perform similar. I would say your biggest holdback is that Eaton Auto-Man transmission. The engine can only go as fast as the transmission can keep up. I am not saying you should, but if I owned a similar truck I think someone "stole the DPF and EGR off of it" and I would be "forced to" retune it without that. Lots of people in the school bus industry pull similar engines out and put Cummins!
That's exactly what happened to Cat's highway motors. Cat tried to hop through loop holes with their motors to avoid the epa as much and that shot them in the foot as well. Btw, when I rented my Penske, Cummins, air everything, automatic engine brake, accelorater kick down, and I wanna say an Allison trans as it was a column shift selector like a pickup. But it couldve been an eaton trans. But it was a beauty of a truck. I did t think about making a vid, kinda wish I did.
I love ur channel and ur videos
amir Khaled Thanks!
I wonder what it would do with a T444E
Does truck drivers allowed to drive with flip flops on?
mostly no
It’s not allowed, but drivers do change shoes before they drive, either to sneakers or slides since they’re more comfortable.
Is it worth buying diesel exhaust fluid does it last or its a waste of money
amir Khaled I mean you kinda have to the engine relys on it
I know but is it worth buying the def it's a must
amir Khaled yes or you will kill the motor and spend a lot of money fixing it
Or just delete
Not technically legal but who cares, the engines perform much better.
The Cooling fan is louder on a M2 than it is on the Durastar
Holy Snickers that has way better acceleration than it's predecessor lol
+crazyjdkid it's so funny how when u said that how Cummins is quite and the maxxforce dt is like starting up a earthquake
amir Khaled if they're both working properly, i'll take the MaxxNoise over the ISB, it's almost one litre larger, so has a bit more power than the cummins.
+jfsa380 Uhh I would disagree. They both come in the exact same power outputs. Cummins just does it more efficiently with a smaller displacement.
crazyjdkid duly noted, however with the larger displacement of the DT, wouldn't engine braking be improved? With the ISB, i get nil, and with the DT, i get a little (still an improvement)

I just turned 20 and my wife Kristina just turned 22. I decided to take her for a drive on her birthday.

My dad have bule box truck ❤
Love it
awesome bro
Thanks man! Didn't know you were into this kind of stuff! Thanks for watching!
crazyjdkid yea bro ..i watch everyone of them
So it last for a while
amir Khaled not really depends on the person
Yea u mean maxxforce and 7.6 liter engine and they have so much more power than the Cummins and something great about them is they have no diesel exhaust fluid

Those DT engines are garbage
The were great at one point, but were never updated to keep up with the times. Thanks for watching!

I really don't like the ethics of the company. They tried to meet emissions differently, but failed and they never wanted to admit thay failure.

Yea I know and some of my friends cheat the truck instead of putting def fluid they put water and it runs perfect
amir Khaled not possible cause, the Def system has sensors that can tell if it is the actual fluid. If they ran water it would throw engine codes and put your engine in limp mode
Just code over it
That is extremely stupid
Oh

Nice! Usually column mounted shifters are Eatons! What brand of truck was it?
crazyjdkid International durastar 4300 26ft box truck.
crazyjdkid Brand new truck from my understanding.
Pickup like suv 🤯
😂😂
amir Khaled Either way you need it trucl won't run without it
