Not only the demons but anyone there hahaha lol. What i love is the reactions of the tripulation in the ship or station, they look like fear more the doom slayer than the demons.
The demon in the end is an Arch-Vile, a classic that first appeared in Doom 2, best known as FLAMEBOIIIII
Curious if they'll be able to resurrect other demons like they could in Doom 2 or if they're gonna use him as a boss like they did the Cyberdemon in the 2016 one.

DeathStalker I think it’s the idea they want to expand the games to have story and involve other places rather than Hell, Mars, and occasionally Earth. It’s vague or out of the way enough where if you just want to blast through the game you can or you can take time and figure out the story and lore if you’d like. Either way it really has me interested because it looks like there will be a lot of interesting locations.

Well in the first game of the reboot, they already expanded the lore, by mentioning that Hell is an entirely diferent dimension, where several world exist and so on, son in a way they changed the clasic "religious hell" version, for a fantasy version of hell, more similar to fantasy comic and manga kind of lore. In the first game of the reboot, they also mentioned that hell is like a "empire" and expansive empire to be more accurate. They mentioned also, some storys of kindoms and worlds that get "eated" by hell, and some of the places you go on hell, in that first campaing are that, ruins of kindoms that where conquered by hell.
So as you can see, they already started to expand the lore with the first reboot game of 2016. What they have said now, is that they are acually working on a doom universe not just a nother demon kiling game. So for what the guy on the left in the reveal said, they will introduce this lore in an organic whay, hiding pieces of a big picture here and there, maybe some of the information will be more accesible to everyone while the deepest plot threads will be more hiden waiting for ppl how want to know every piece of the game.
I think that they will introduce again the secret levels stuff also, its a very good way of givig reasons to replay and replay until you find all of them. So now, we probably are going to have more character with names, and a bit of a plot and so on. But at the end the core of the still is gameplay, rip and tear, metal, industrial, explosions, etc.
I've said it all along: DOOM is the best christian game of all time.

There’s always been a reasonable amount of exploration in Doom, even in the old games. There were puzzle-like areas as well that if solved would reveal a secret area. Some secret areas would reward big health/armor powerups, or early on in the game, weapons that you otherwise wouldn’t find until much later. With the new Doom’s upgradable armor and weapons it’s worth exploring so you can find upgrade tokens and runes.
Even in DOOM 2016 there was good amount exploration and you always could explore room/area after destroying All demon scum in area.
One of the things about Doom 2016 is that there was really good pacing that gave you a small bit of time to breathe and explore after large fights before throwing you back into the demon meat grinder
Daniel not to mention backtracking. Just started playing doom 2016 again fresh save and I was surprised how it doesn't lock off areas on level after you passed them. Sure sometimes it does, but majority of time you can go all the to start of level from the end of level if you want

UltraViolence Kill Monsters find color key go through color door, kill more monsters and pick up more weapons and kill more monsters, Rinse and Repeat. Yeah that's what I call exploring at it's most reasonable. You play Doom for the violence and Carnage, it's a shootout in a "monster infested Holocaust" not "Skyrim" unless people think collecting Doomguy mini dolls are reason to "explore"
that last Mortally Challenged was special, he's the only one with a cut scene and he used it to be as Metal as possible
He's an Arch Vile, first appeared in Doom 2, he isn't a boss though, he's a normal enemy that's just not that common because he is extremely OP.
That demon revives the other demons you kill and had a charged attack that was almost a guaranteed hit and killed you instantly

Every new demon has a cutscene when first introduced .... its still not clear if thats a boss

Whenever I encountered one of them I just used the BFG, but most of the time I had to use it twice.
I never thought that the classic plasma rifle would look good in a modern Doom game. Id proved me wrong. And I love them for it.

Honestly prefer the MC over doom Slayer. Doom eternal looks awesome though. Problem is that it is too repetitive. Just like the first one a playthrough and some messing around is all I'll need to get bored of it
Honestly, gameplay-wise, it looks like the best FPS ever. I love how every millisecond counts in a game like this, allowing pro players and speedrunners to annihilate everything super efficiently. It's all about how fast you can think and react, which is a satisfying feeling; no limits and perfect controls.

Well its a sequel for DOOM 2016, wich is best FPS atm, so no doubt its gonna Be best FPS. I hope you can disable invasions though, i really dont want invasions when playing on nightmare.

Don't forget the key-hunting, platforming and puzzle solving sections. They're great for variety and pacing.
i feel wolfenstein has done that fairly well too, at least in most titles (ironic huh) i'm not counting Wolf: Young Blood in that because that game really fu$£ed up. i mean if you want to do single player it is completable...i have beaten it...but the co-op was ruined and i do sympathise with fans who wanted it for that. but even single player had some glitches. but the other Wolf games like Old Blood, New Order and New Collossus were really good.
Doom is the first FPS i played back in the day, so glad this series gets the treatment it deserves.
Done by the creators themselves (id Software). The best part is that Bethesda's letting them do it their way. As soon as I first heard that Bethesda was gonna be id's new publisher when Doom 2016 was being developed, I knew they were in good hands.
I can't remember if Doom or Wolfenstein 3D was my first FPS, but yeah, Doom is an absolute classic.

It’s one of the absolute most badass/classic/annoying DOOM enemies, and they kept the design almost EXACTLY like the old games. Is old-school fans knew that f***er the second Ben stepped onscreen in this trailer lol.
wish they showed some love to the more horror/atmospheric scores of Doom Psx port and Doom 64. those 2 were unique in that they made Doom absolutely terrifying with few subtle tweaks.
PSX Doom was fucking terrifying, it haunted my childhood, the soundtrack + enhanced lighting effects made it a completely different experience to the PC version it was such a good port.
yea psx version was my first proper doom experience where i actually tried to beat the whole game. had alot of nightmares.

My memories of the 90's were a lot different. Back then Christians were bitching about every violent video game, but DOOM was the number 1 target easily. Of course not every christian, but values were a lot different and people are more desensitized now, I remember a friend from a private christian school refusing play once he saw a pentagram I shit you not.

Master Chief just went to space and shot a few aliens. He even had some help of his allies or whatever. while Doomguy here takes on the entirety of HELL, alone and chases them to the deepest levels... with a few guns. Honestly, there is no other Video Game character *EVER* that can achieve this level of badass-ery.
Oscar Cox To be fair, The Flood is an intergalactic plague that can consume the entire universe, only being stopped by starving them to death through galaxy wide genocide. Entire races fell to them, and though he got help from allies, he actually managed to stop something that effortlessly defeated a vastly more advanced race in the form of the Forerunners.
The Flood is a 'Plague', not a dimension travelling demonic race of... demonic demons. I'm not that familiar with the lore of Halo, but I'd rather deal with a galactic threatening disease than a race of 'minor' intelligent creatures that are hell bent on corrupting entire realms.
However, I don't want to be diving too deep into things I'm not confident in my knowledge of.

The dimension of hell in the doomverse? Is basically eating up entire dimensions and merging it into a hellish nightmare just for the reason of the expansion of hells landscape. The only reason why earth was left untouched was because the doom slayer became a boogeyman and with unrelenting hatred he terrorized the demons and very well hell itself for eons since it started in the 1st age of ascension. Anyway then you got masta cheef who fought a zombie like virus and aliens with the help of allies and struggled at times with generic elites ......meanwhile doom slayer killed the titan which was like a god of hell with nothing but his bare hands and sword. Then afterwards making barons of hell shit their fur? From his unrelenting fury

Also, this isn't Hell. This is Hell on Earth. Doom Eternal is the updated version of Doom II.

The final demon at the end was called an Archvile. They’re a pain in the ass to deal with, more troubling than a Pain elemental, and they have the word pain in their name, too. Also, I never thought Doom Could get repetitive. I still replay Doom 2016 over and over and still enjoy tearing demons a new one. Doesn’t get repetitive and or boring AT ALL!!! Doom: Eternal will be the best sequel to an franchise. Right next to Halo 2.

I think it was a concept of any video game long long time ago. Not many was successful. Doom one of my favourites.
Since Doom 2016 there are breaks in-between onslaught fighting to explore if you want. I actually loved exploring in the last game and helps with the pacing. They just showed all the action in the trailer to show off the game

He met up with Kaldor Draigo (only slightly insane), actually KILLED SLAANESH, was attemted to be possesed by Khaine, trapped him in his own HAND and USED him as a melee weapon (He shaped himself into a blade). He made the Legendary Bludflag and his Krew follow after him, Khorne has a Chain-sword-boner for him, since first he attempted to give him Daemonhood and after he refused, sent Kharn after him. Kharn lost.

Just to answer a couple questions, you guys asked when do you get a chance to explore? When you clear the demons out of an area you can explore it and find weapons, ammo and notes to read that expand upon the story. There's actually a lot of exploration, it's not balls to the wall the entire game like this gameplay is. Most of the time it is though, and that's where level design, weapon design/customization, finding new types of enemies, cutscenes, boss battles etc. All that stuff keep the game from getting boring and repetitive.
When i see dreams about this game, they're not gonna be nightmares. They're gonna be wet dreams.

Dr.Genesect The first Doom game released in 1993 (at I think it is correct me if I’m wrong) unlike Halo Combat Evolved which released in 2001. The first Doom game was also the game that made FPS games popular and is also probably the oldest FPS game to date.
earliest fps was wolfenstein I think, but Doom is what made the genre truly popular, back in the mid 90's there was more computers that had Doom installed on them than windows, it was insanely popular. Even the term "fps" wasn't invented at that point all other fps games were just called "doom clones".
yeap the original doom is more or less the grandfather of first person shooters. The firstwolfenstein was a bit earlier but doom is probaly the only game in the world that truthfully can claim that it was more installed than a operating system ( it was win 95 btw ). The original doom were THAT big...it is pretty much the same with supermetroid/castlevania sympony of the night and the whole metroidvania game genre. It reached a point where you can't make a exploration plattformer with findables without being compared to those two titles.
Doom did pretty much the same thing for first person shooters, what I am trying to say is without the original doom you wouldn't have call of duty/halo or any of those titles looking like they do these days.
come to think of it, the whole rpg genre were dominated by baldurs gate/baldurs gate 2 and the copy attempt at those success for atleast 8+ years. You still find their influence to these days in Pillars of eternity/wasteland 2/Original sin1 and 2 as well as tyranny. Theer are just those games out there that get so big they define genres.

I didn't used to get grossed out until I watched a video of a kid getting executed with a shotgun to the head point blank. Heads being cut off and stuff was fine for me, but watching some scared kid have his head blown up while he was cowering on the ground just didn't sit right for some reason, and it stuck

I am so hyped for this. It lets you zoom around, grappling and shooting people like some sort of hyper-lethal Spiderman
The last demon is called the Arch Vile and it was actually a more dangerous demon from the classic Doom game,in fact the only two other enemies that rivaled the Arch Vile is the Cyberdemon and the Spider Mastermind and both of them became major bosses in the later Doom games

dont know if anyone said this, thing about Doom is like level checkpoints, get into a room of demons, kill them all, explore and find secrets, then move on to the next point. Thats kinda how it goes. Which makes the slaughter not tiring as you get a break after each area and chill with exploration :) perfect mix if you ask me, a game made just for having fun.

I don't normally watch reaction videos, but to respond to your remark at 24:57 Doom was supposed to be the video game embodiment of rock n' roll, so what you said makes perfect sense. Also, the demon at the end is the Archvile from Doom II, Doom II takes place on Earth, a couple of the "new" demons are from Doom II, including the Archvile and the Pain Elemental. It looks like they're going to expand on the UAC though, unlike Doom 2 where you kill Satan and it's over with. . .

The demon at the end was called an "Arch-vile." They first appeared in DOOM II, could guaranteed hit your for massive damage as long as you were in their line-of-sight, and could resurrect enemies that you have already killed. If it stays true to classic DOOM II, there'll be more than one of them.

I love survival horrors. And Doom is my fav franchise of all. Everywhere hero starts week but gradually becomes strong. Here Doomguy is on another level. He starts stronger and by end the becomes strongest of all.
