tofino receives more than 3 metres of rain a year, a little further south henderson lake (Hucuktlis Lake) is the wettest place in north america with a record of over 9 metres. it's temperate rainforest, it's a worry when it doesn't rain for extended periods of time which has been happening more frequently in summers. last year there was even a forest fire near henderson lake which is disturbing.
haha... good to know! Not too bad for a car, but the van makes things more exciting! Thankfully we had been warned not to travel at night... The google doesn't give you an accurate view of things. 20 years back it must have been pretty treacherous. I hear the snow blocks the road as well?
Tofino looks nice, minus the rain 😁. We will have to make our way back to the Island one day.
Minus the rain🤣🤣yes. It rains a lot! Especially in winter… as you will see in our next videos the beaches are beautiful… quite unique for Canada.
É um lugar lindo mais muita chuva, parabéns pelo vídeo amei 👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Como sempre, muito obrigada! Ficamos muito felizes em saber que você tem gostado dos vídeos! ❤️❤️❤️

Wow! That’s so cool! Thank you for the info! I didn’t know any of that.
You think this highway is bad now, you should have tried it 20 years ago. They've fixed the bad spots.

@@AltLiving I've never driven it in winter, and hope never to do so. Or at night.
@jonbarnard7186 Good decision. Do you live on the island?
@@AltLiving Edmonton. My son lives on the island now however.
You are getting acclimatized to the local lingo in Ucluelet. Knarly dudes
Funny 😆😂😂
We almost became one of them 😄
Omg, so much drama, can't be Canadians
Haha! is it that obvious that we both grew up in warm countries without too much rain :-D
