Thanks, ill be using it soon. For the 80.00 a protective case would of been nice. Also a wrist tie or what ever u want to call it, that would catch it if it drops out of your hand. Because it seems holding it like a remote will be needed at times. If it slips out of your hands its got no case and could break.
I just bought this for the purpose of not having to get off my Kaabo Mantis King GT to turn on my X3. I did not know about the other features tho. Great Vid!!!
You just made me buy one, thanks!
Hello, thanks for the video! Quick Q, can the remote mode cycle options be changed? I don’t have interest in some (loop rec for example), while others are just skipped.
Nice accessory, thank’s for this presentation
Looks great
Awesome tutorial keep up, Greeting from Malaysia
Great content. Do you know what the latest software update is for the GPS remote. And I can only scroll through a few setting on the remote it doesn't access all the modes. You have to do a lot via the camera. Is that what you're experiencing? Thanks
Always the best Insta 360 videos i love you man 👍👍 continue always do this! I learned a lot beacause of you, and the more simple you explain is more fun, keep doing what you doing please, i also like very much the shorts you doing, not many likes maybe yet but continue and gonna be more i promise, this is very good with shorts also and easy learning, but also continue do long 😉😉
Thank you for your video. I have one question. Can we export gps data only from remote gps insta360 to. gpx or. csv extension?
Hi, nice video, congratulations. One question, can you tell me roughly how far away you can control the X3? Many times I find myself having to put the X3 on the tripod to take 360 photos, but without being framed as well, so I move away and then have to take the photo. With the app, if I move 3 or 4 metres away, the connection is lost. Does the remote control have a greater distance?
Thank you very Much
@best360 Great video - nice and simple, but make sure you preset your camera to your required mode before filming - you can’t change or identify what mode you’re in from the remote!! Mine was accidentally set to single lens not 360 which didn’t tell me on the remote and on an 8hr climb I just got static one lens videos! 😢
Olá desde já obrigada pelos teus vídeos.
Será que este controlo remoto fonciona com a insta 360 one r?
Obrigada
I had issues with the old GPS-Remote and the Insta360 One X2 on a 3meter Carbon Selfie Stick that it looses connectivity. Has this improved either new remote?
I bought the remote controll because it is said on their website that it can control up to 3 cameras. This got confirmed by Insta360 support at first. So I bought 3 INSTA360 ONE RS cameras just to find out that: Yes, you can connect up to 3 cameras to the remote control. And the remote can shut all 3 cameras off. BUT it can only re-start one of them (the last one which was connected to the remote). So for me that means that this is completely useless, as I need to be able to to controll all 3 cameras including turning them off and on again, which does not work. Which also got confirmed by Insta360 support once I filed a ticket with technical support why 2 of 3 cameras won't wake up... The thing that me annoys the most is that they advertise that up to 3 cameras are supported, but nobody tells you that you can't wake them up...
Sadly I bought the Insta 360 gps remote before reading you. I feel the same way, is useless if you can't wake all the cameras. I hope Insta360 update the firmware and solve that issue. The go pro controller do turn on and off all 4 cameras simultaneously, is really confortable, for 10, 11 and 12 models.
It also does not indicate recording on/off. Only audio dings which does you no good when you're recording on a motorcycle. The screen does not change indicating recording/standby as it does with a single camera.
Does it really skip active hdr and timelapse when you are choosing modes?
Hi, thanks for the video... I`ve got a question: and how to export 360 videos (not flat, reframed) with GPS Stats?? Thanks in advance.
Hello can i ask where you buy the Wrist Strap only?Thank you
hello, is it possible to shoot HDR photos with this remote? Not surprisingly it is not mentioned in the video that cycling through the modes skips HDR photo and video.
Can this remote be on par with GoPro MAX GPS reliabilty when it comes to mapping some road routes?
And how hard does this connection reflects to batt. drain?
thx
Thanks for your videos, I am try to connect my one X2 and my One RS at the same time. Is it possible?
I got mine the day it was so easy to do thank you for your videos 📹
Can you help me why do my GPS action remote disconnected all the time you can trun it on for 2 or 3 time then it stop but when I reset everything it will work for 2or 3 time again and then stop
@@sashzuri1389 This remote is just shit. Be luck to succeded pairing the first time, it's a very rare archievment ;-)
Nice video mate❤. One question for you: X3 Camera is binded (paired)with remote. Can I leave the X3 installed on my motorbike in switched OFF mode and when I want to shoot a video while riding, I can simply power ON the X3 through the remote and again start a recording through this remote? Or do I have to stop, get off the bike and power On my X3 manually just to activate the recording from the remote later? Thanks 😉
Hi Best360.
I have the inst360 one x2 and the GPS Action Remote. How can I select HDR video mode from the GPS Remote? I can only select from the GPS Remote: Photo Standard, Video Standard, Timelapse and Timeshift. If I want to select Video HDR or the different Photo modes (HDR, burst, interval, night) I can only do it from the camera.
Thank you so much
Can you control 2 insta360 x3 with one remote? Like when you press record both camera will start recording at the same time?
Hows is it in cold temperatures, eg skiing?
the gps functions can be used with the studio version, from the pc?
I have this GPS control on the X3, will it work on the X4?
I can use the remote control for the insta360 1 inch
How far can the remote and insta 360 be from each other for the remote to control the camera? What’s the maximum distance , say in feet, for the remote to effectively control the cam? Thanks.
Hi great video thx!!, one question, does it have quick capture when both devices are swithced off (x3 and remote gps)
Does it work with the new X4? I have only found an information that it only works on ACE and not X4?
Greetings from Austria!
I like to see how you pair multiple Insta360 camera with the remote. Thanks.
that's easy, but the problem I have so far is that if I turn off the cameras from the remote, then awaken them from the remote, only 1 of hte cameras are awakened
Great product. What is the battery life for the new remote control when GPS is turned on and connected to the X3?
Nice video. Can you move the gps overlay to different areas of the video?
Is the previous version compatible with the x3?
Can I use it in Insta 360 one x or in insta 360 one x2?
Good video, will this work with insta360 x4 ?
Can this be done on insta 360 desktop software insta 360 studio?
Does anyone know if you can get the wrist strap for mens wrist? A friend of mine has one, and neither of us can fit it around our wrists
So if i turn on the camera and the remote is in my backpack it reconnects automatically without touching the remote? (for skiing for example. I just need the gps data)
Hi, nice video. Can i export photos with gps data? I mean I need 360° photos with the correct location, can i get that?
Thanks. What is the best external mic for insta360 beside raod i want a wireless tall hand mic for interveiws
Will the GPS wake/activate the X3 from the 'off' position? Or will voice control do the same thing? Thank you again for your videos. They are always very informative.
Yes it will activate the camera, I can’t comment on the voice activation
Hey
I love your videos man
I have a doubt.i have dji fpv controller 2 and goggles v2. And my drone is broken.u want to build custom drone. Can u recommend parts which will support my goggles v2 & controller 2. It will be helpfull
Hi~ this looks good for action and travelling videos. Can this remote pair with X2 too apart from X3 ?
Was that a map in the top right-hand corner?
Is this camera the only one the remote will operate with out of all the insta 360 cameras?
Yes, but can it remotely turn ON the camera?
Hello. Can I switch off the camera and remote to save battery life and turn everything on without the camera losing the connection.? The old remote could do this.
Actually, why would I need the GPS remote? As in, how would that help me if I don't use it for tracking of stats etc (ie Non tracking, running, cycling, biking type). Thanks!
Does this work with One X2?
Bummer that it's not available in Australia so far.
can I use old Model remote control for Insta360??
Already SOLD OUT damn it!
Thanks for the nice explanation. Can the remote turn the camera on if it switched off?
what's difference with the app on your mobile app?
Can this remote connect to Ipad Wifi version to provide GPS signal to iPad google map as well?
@best360 is there a way to pause the recording rather than stoping?? If not I hope insta360’will incorporate in the future so the gps data is not lost between recordings
Can GPS data be imported via Studio app without using a phone?
Please show us how it works with google earth and street view mapping!
How much more accurate is this compared to having the iPhone insta app to gather the gps data ?
Hello Shanil.
Is it possible to control the backlight of this remote control? Turn on and off. Maybe it has a shutdown timer?
There is a lack of some seconds between realtime movement and the speed Stats, why is that so? On Skiers i did a speed section, the stats showed the right speed, but not synchron to what happend. You have an idea whats wrong? Sincerely
hello! I’m wondering if you could help me. My gps action remote is able to awake only one camera when I have two connected. when they are awake, is possible to control them , but it only awakes one of them.
Does it work the same with the 360 1 inch 360 addition from this summer?
I have not tested it… but I see no reason why it should not work with 1-inch 360!
Hi @ZCarlzon, I enjoyed your video vm. Can u help me with this: when I connect my insta 360 x3 to the insta360 app, and when I got to stats, it says using stats requires GPS data. if you want to use Stats, please turn it on in the shooting interface options interface options before shooting. may I know where is the shooting interface options? is it on my iPhone camera settings, insta360 x3 or insta gps remote? thanks so much for your help! :) Eugene from Singapore
As long as the camera connected to the remote, it should record gps data automatically
Does this remote work the insta360 sphere?
what is the remote distance?
I am testing the product with my X3 camera and to my surprise I find that the camera can be activated and start recording from the control when it is turned off. However, when we click the control again, the camera stops recording, but it does NOT turn off!!! This is very bad, since the camera keeps on and drains the battery. Is it so or am I wrong?
How long the battery of GPS remote works? Is it practical to use it for whole day trips? For Insta360 itself I have 2 spare battery, what would you advise for GPS remote?
how long does the battery last? because the duration of the old remote control is really ridiculous!
HELLO, I think I have a problem with my action remote and my Insta360 ONE RS, it seems it doesn't remember the pairing setup, if I turn the remote off after pairing with my camera when I turn it back on, it shows again the "setting" icon and force me to "pair new"... that's very annoying, I think this is not how it should be... can you please help? Thanks....
I have two insta360 Rs's. Would this remote connect to both of them so I can start and stop recording with both of them together?
Not a technology person here and your videos are helping me a lot, using your tutorial video as a reference when people ask me for the link of my camera!!!😂🤣😂🤣 What's the range? How far the remote can be from the camera?
Great video! The remote claims to be able to wake the camera from an OFF position. How do you do that? When I try, the remote simply says "camera disconnected" after saying "awakening camera"
What's the remote for exactly
Can the remote switch on/off the X3? Because GoPro "The Remote" can do it. Hopefully, this GPS action remote also has the same feature.
It can turn the X3 completely off and on. Just activate "Bluetooth Wakeup" in the settings. If you tap the power button shortly the X3 will enter sleep mode and can also be turned on again via the remote.
Can it work with x2?
This is not related to your video but I would like to ask...should the 360X3 get fairly warm a few minutes after powering on? This is my first camera of this type and the heat on the backside concerns me. I powered it on to activate it and run thru the settings and noticed while holding it how warm it had become...hot but not to the point that it was burning hot. Please let me know if this is common as I hate to return it.
Mmm mine does get hot but not super hot. I do live in England which is cold most the time so it will probably be hotter in warmer countries
Just got my new X3… was exploring, checking settings, etc. After about 20 minutes it overheated😢 WTH
cool little gadget. i know that this vid is about the gadget but just wondered if you could answer me this, in insta studio is it possible to split a 60 second clip in to three or four parts, like i can in any normal editor. many thanks
steve
Next video, include the real results with the GPS. I like to use the GPS remote control when I go cycling. I wanna get stats on how steep a climb, how fast am I, etc. Thanks 👍
towards the end of the video is a tutorial on how to add the gps data and the actual results with GPS 👍
Problem, my x3 dies😢 not find remote. It does find and only something called AB Shutter3. Try to connect to that and always fails!
Why do you need GPS data? Isnt bluetooth enough?
Can you use the remote to power the camera off & on?
My camera is mounted on the wing of my airplane, ( about 12-14 feet from cockpit), will the remote work from this distance?
On long flights, I would like to conserve battery by remotely powering it off and on as needed….. will this remote do the trick?
Thanks
It can turn the X3 completely off. Just press the power button on the remote for 3 sec. If you push it 6 sec the remote will turn itself off. Mine doesn't seem to be able to turn the X3 on again because the connection is severed once the X3 is completely off. Same goes for a BT mic, btw. If you tap the power button shortly the X3 will enter sleep mode and can be turned on again via the remote. Sleep mode saves battery life a lot. It would be guessing whether it would connect outside of an airplane. As you will know there can be a lot of interferences from your instruments, radio etc. Carbon fibre doesn't shield the BT signal as much as metal ... Just try it out.
It can turn the X3 completely off and on. Just activate "Bluetooth Wakeup" in the settings. If you tap the power button shortly the X3 will enter sleep mode and can also be turned on again via the remote.
I got the remote and both times I’ve used it, it loses the connection shortly after taking off. It works fine on the ground, while taxing, sitting in the hangar, etc. But after taking off, it disconnects within about 3 minutes ! And it willl not reconnect…. The camera just keeps filming until I land , or the battery dies. Really sucks.
So is this remote control now also compatible with the Ace Pro camera? I really hope so to prevent buying another remote control
Can i use for Google street view? Because i try different way GPX file shows error , please if you have any suggestions let me know, I’m using insta360 x3
@@Best360 please when you checked let me know because I have to order if not I'm not going to
Do you think this might work with the just released Insta360 Ace Pro?
There’s a brand new version of the gps remote which you should check out. That one will work. Not sure about this old one
@@Best360 My AP arrived today. And the this remote does control the camera🥳 No preview but pretty much everything else
@@Best360 It seem to only record and stop but no GPS . So i bought the actual one for AP and I’ll keep this one for X3..
X2
So I use the quik record function for almost all my recordings ie X3 is off and I hit the record button, the unit wakes up...eventually LOL...I record a short clip then hit the record button again and the unit saves and switches off..do I use the remote now to do that or does the x3 need to be on and connected all the time to capture GPS data.. ?? If I have to keep reconnecting the GPS unit every time I use quik record or want to record from the off status, then the remote is a fail I'm afraid.
You have to keep reconnecting the gps remote. It did not connect automatically when I was using it
@Best360 thanks for the swift reply....that's a big disappointment, wow, such a great product but let down by no onboard GPS, not the end of the world I suppose....I'll bring out my trusty Gopro Max if I want GPS overlays....LOL
how do i turn off the GPS from gps remote?
Short, concise, I love it!
