    1 cup white vinegar
    1 cup water
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 medium carrot (4 oz shredded)
    3 inch section Daikon radish (4 oz shredded)
    or 1 chayote (4 oz shredded)
    or 1 green papaya (4 oz shredded)
    Yields: 1 cup pickles

    How to remove the bad smell of radish? I really can't stand that

      soak radish with salt in 1 - 2 minutes , it release some water , drain it , soak with tap water and drain it 2-3 times , the smell will go away

    It's on the sour side. Just adjust the sugar.
