Always mix flora micro first. Then flow grow. Then flora bloom. You must mix the micro first to prevent it from getting locked out. You also must stir them between adding. You should not do them in the order that you did, and not stirring between is bad.
Here’s a tip for the pH meters. 1st those 12 dollar ones are about as reliable as a taste test and they’ll drift wildly even within a day of calibration. The nicer one like shown in the video (blue lab or Apera) are much more reliable and much easier to calibrate. Also, you can stand them up in the top of that one gallon jug and just gently squeeze the jug to bring your solution level up to the probe. Saves time, saves an extra step, and saves a solo cup from ending up in our oceans.

Excellent detail! Really appreciate the explanations. Didn't know to wait 10-15 mins in between pH testing or that shake/stir well was required! One note, I read that it's better to create a diluted cup of pH adjuster, then incrementally add from that into the main mixed nutrients because sudden drops in pH can damage the nutrient solution ("lockout" or something like that...). Thank you. I was going to get the "dry nutrients" but honestly this stuff is wayy more cheaper. So I wanted to understand the ratio needed to begin growing them.
My only question I can’t seem to find in any video on this brand is a two fold question. 1. Do you use the mixture entirely in place of a regular watering, or do you mix it in? 2. Since the hydroponics in water doesn’t really deteriorate that quickly, how often do you replace the mixture for a fresh solution? Every two weeks?
I pretty much use it entirely in place of watering. Well.. it’s mixed with water but as long as the plant is healthy you don’t have to add any normal watering. That’s a tough question, it depends on the size of the container and the plant. At first.. I can go quite a while (over a month) without a fresh solution. Once the plant is mature it can deplete really quickly. I’ve had to add solution ever other day or so. If you are topping to solution off before it empties out, I would only do that 2 maybe 3 times at most before rinsing your container out and adding fresh nutrients.
@@WhitepepperFarmshomestead yeah right after I typed that, I replaced my solution in my teeny Walmart special hydroponic garden I’m starting with. I used these for my bell peppers in a DWC setup. My pepper roots turned brown and the peppers stopped growing. I followed the instructions for the dosage precisely. I ended up trimming the roots so that they don't go more than a half inch into the water. I see new white roots developing above the water line. Hopefully this lousy nutrient system didn't destroy what was a thriving set of pepper plants. If using this system ever again, I'll try without the Floramicro bottle. Or just go back to using an A & B pre-made nutrient program.
Hello. Beginner here. Trying to start with lettuce. Quick Google Search says Lettuce takes around six to eight weeks to harvest For how many days should I use "Cutting and Seedlings" measurements When should I move to "General Purpose - Mild Vegetative" measurements When should I move to "Transition to Bloom" measurements When should I move to "Blooming and Ripening" measurements (If this even applies to lettuce) Where can I find specific guidelines for each stage of growth? On which day or week am I suppose to switch up to the next measurement?
I would start using it after the second set of real leaves and start at like 1.5ml/gallon of each then ramp up to the full 5ml over the next month. If you want to grow your own seeds then you can give it the transition and bloom ratios at the 6-8 week mark, but if you're growing head lettuce or dont want seeds, then just stick with the vegetative ratios.
I prepare the fertilizer according to your recommendations and mix them in the same order, I do it in two gallon containers and therefore I have a question, after two days it becomes slightly cloudy, is this normal and will it not harm my plants?

Hey Jeremy! A lot of it depends on where your plants are in their growth. So 25ml of each per 5 gallons is what I would be doing for a general purpose mix.
