Ph fluctuation is great . I go from 6.0 to 7.0 . My girls seem to love it . They stay perfectly green until the last 3 weeks of flowering when i let them yellow out to use up all the extra nutes . I use maxi bloom and maxi grow along with bud candy , molasses, and fox farms open sesame. I like to under feed like you do . Plain water then nutes then plain water then nutes the entire grow . And flawless finish i use the last week to help the flush . Also , i do lst before harvest . 2 weeks before . When i start flushing i use the "kyle kushman " method and snap/twist all my stems , kinda like supper cropping. Its helps add extra trichomes. And yes it really works .
Love your tutorial! I’m new at all this. I see your using 2 gallons. I understand one is for your growing babies and another for your blooming babies. My question is, how long will that gallon last? Is that for one feeding that week. Or do you save the left over for later that week? Might be a dumb question, as I’m thinking if it’s not used same day, single day use, the ph will possibly change.
If I make a batch and let it sit, the ph and EC goes up. This is my biggest issue with growing in coco, is figuring out the right solutions and not waste a ton of water.
Great video and very educational Hopefully by now you invested in a RO system which can be purchased at Amazon between 100 to 300 dollars and hook it up under your sink I highly recommended.Just remember you invested expensive high-quality hydroponic fertilizers for your cannabis plants they also deserve better water. Question??? So I use fox farm soil and the soil is PH @ 6.5. My nutrients I use are advanced nutrients. Should I add nutrients in the feed right when I transplant to new soil? I’ve had some sort of deficiency or lockout. What do you recommend? Please help
Ernest - so I use fox farm as well. I do NOT use nutrients when I have a newly planted seedlings or when I replant. Foxfarm is hot and adding more will burn your plants. I PH my water and just water them. I did burn them slightly once and learned my lesson. You can’t go wrong with just good ph balanced water and good lighting. Do that than ease into your nutrients. And when you do only do half what the directions say to give it a good transition.
Always searching to find better ways of feeding my plants, I ended up here. Let us share our knowledge, I'll start, you contribute/correct me. My teacher used General Hydroponics so that's what I use still, after 30 years. The Flora trio; Flora Micro, Flora Bloom, Flora Grow is the core of my nutes. The following recipes are for full strength feeding - grow or bloom. 1 bloom, 2 micro, 3 grow (for full strength vegetative.) 1 grow, 2 micro, 3 bloom tsp. per gal. (full strength for bloom.) Both come out to about 1000ppm by themselves in R/O water of 10ppm. To these basics I add about 1/2 tsp (2 1/2 mil.) per gallon of Cal/Mag, a few drops of Sea-Com ( $30 for one pint, ((expensive)) last a lifetime). Sea-Com is a kelp extract added for trace minerals. 1 tsp UN-sulfured molasses - again for trace minerals and for some sugar. Also add a little Recharge - $50 for one pound (last a lifetime). The Recharge is to add mycorrhizal fungi to the mix. Also add 1/2 tsp per gallon of Armor-Si (silica) 0-0-4 , to beef up Potash. That's it. The resulting mix comes out to about 1300ppm (again, this is full strength we're talking). I've heard 1400 is about the max one should use as full strength feeding, grow or bloom - seek to be corrected if this is wrong. The Sea-Com, molasses and Flora Micro are added for trace minerals, mainly. From experience I recommend the following; proper Ph, proper strength of solution and (important) proper solution/soil temperature. My grow room runs at about 77* and I keep my solution for DWC at 70* - cool water holds more dissolved oxygen and leads to healthier root system. OK, your turn with your brand of nutes. Thnx. addendum: Used to be municipal water supplies had chlorine added. Chlorine could be dispensed with by letting the water sit over night. I have learned that municipal water suppliers now use chloramine, a different type of chlorine. This type of chlorine does NOT dissipate with time. The only way to get it out of your water is to use reverse osmosis or distillation - sorry.
FB...do I even want to look for my password? It's not like we're doing something against God! Can't we just chat here? - seek the broader audience? I might be full of shit
Maxibloom by its self @ 1-7g per gallon will do it all by its self . Also PH will set its self to 6 in maxibloom once dissolved . All the way thru a plants life . AKA Lucas Formula
I noticed you added the PH Up to the water before you finished adding the Nutrients. Then you didn't check the PH after adding the Grow and Bloom. Shouldn't you have checked the PH after you had everything in the water ? Also I just got my PH Pen in the mail. How do I calibrate it ? It's one of those cheap $20 Dollar PH pens I found on Ebay.
@@jason__337 That's actually incorrect. You're supposed to add anything that raises pH to the water first, or you can cause lockout with some elements, due to super high pH levels around the drops of pH up you are adding. There is a complicated equation to figure out how much to add... But I prefer the easier method; if you normally add 1ml of pH up at the end of mixing, simply add that total at the beginning. It works out to the same.
You need to measure ppm while adding each nutrient/additive/supplement. You need to feed different ppm in each stage of the plant’s life. You need to ph after you add everything else to your water. You should use RO water if you’re adding that much stuff to your water. Also, you should only feed twice a month. Just use water with calmag and/or magsulfur the rest of the time. Remember to always check your ppm, and only feed your plants twice a month.
@@Levonsiio I've never heard of people feeding only twice a month tbh dude. I'm new to this but I've watched a lot and not once heard to do that. I agree with him check ppm just make sure its low to begin with

I thought the flora blend says to add last on the bottle? I’m using general Hydroponics Flora Series and trying to figure out the correct mixing order. Can’t find much on the order. I just been going off wht it says on the bottle.
Micro (red) is always first, and you must shake it good, before you add anything else to it, due to metallic particles in the nutes, if you don't shake it, then different metals will start clumping together and your not getting all the available nutrients...
Real good vid bud, I agree absolutely in underfeeding. So if they say 5ml per liter I'll give 4-4.5ml per liter. Had to much nute burn in the past aswell. Keep it up. Just a shout out from south africa 🌍
Synthetic fertilizers are so bad for the environment and just kill all the good life in your soil. Mother nature got it right thousands of years ago and all those bottles just complicate and turn this beautiful ecosystem absolutely full of all sorts of creepy crawlies and I caught a bunch of different ones and went to the co op to identify them in the lab, turns ot most of them are beneficial, some arent but the good one make quick work on them. And guess who has never and will never spend money on birds or horse shit, so I'm sending her home for a couple days till she can chill out but we cant have these bad vibes
Learn how to convert liters to gallons. 1 gallon is 3.7liters (might as well say its 4liters). Get a little scale for measuring dry nutrients. Aeration doesn't remove chlorine as fast as people think, even 24hrs of aeration only removes some of the chlorine. And it basically doesn't touch the chloramines. Wouldn't worry about chlorine or chloramines unless you're adding things like humic acid. In that case you can either start with RO water or add some vitamin c powder to the tap water to neutralize the chlorine and chloramines. (it doesn't take much but it does lower ph and slightly raise EC/PPMS.) I also have the exact same PH meter and you're super smart for getting the calibration solution. It's absolute garbage without it, and ends up being way off within a week. I ended up using the drops to compare my ph meter readings and realized it was off. So I just stick with the drops now. It's more time consuming but less expensive than buying a bluelab. Great little videos for beginners, so many people overlook mixing nutrients. It can be a little daunting at first.
Not my soil my mix made a day or 2 ahead of time. The pH is always way high if I mix it to soon. So I make it the morning of watering. With water that has been bubbling for 2 days
I havnt checked the ph of my plants or soil in years, but my soil is so alive and teeming with living microorganisms they actually are the ones that eat it to break it down to a useable form(mineralized). Then the you will be able to transform food or paper wastes into black gold
Just so everyone knows general hydroponics is owned by Monsanto. No hate just a heads up so make people aware.Great video though a lot of really good info. Remember guys more weed less greed.🎄🎄🎄
I don’t understand why people think it’s a big deal. We’ve been genetically modifying plants and animals for thousands of years. But all of a sudden it’s a bad thing to help enable disease, and insect resistant plants to grow faster while producing higher yields?
genetically modifying is done by cutting a DNA molecule from one plant or animal and splicing it into the DNA chain of another plant or animal which changes its genetic instruction for natural development the reason they say plants are insect resistant is because with the modifications came the ability to spray crops multiple times with poisons like monsanto/bayer glyphosate or round up won't kill the plants just what ever eats it

And then a recent study showed that cannabis likes water to be 74° - 76° Not criticizing just curious.
where were you 10 years ago when I was looking for this information? lol
Like you, I've had great success with the very products you are featuring. And it seems like we learned a lot of the same lessons. Good job bro.
Oh, and your air stone introducing air into your water will temporarily lower your ph.
this is an amazing video I learned so much going into my first grow the air stone for chlorine is smart I didn't think about that
7:52 this flora blend here?
I have no idea what it does, but they love it.
Haha that made me crack up
Get a ph pen and up+down. Keep it at 6.5. BUT dropping to 6 or 5.9 is fine. Ph the water after adding nutrients obviously
This video is amazing for learning about ph and how to use nutrients in general, cheers
Cheers
I’ve been learning about growing for about 3 days.... your video help a lot to understand why we have to do it and how to get the water ph where we need it...... thanks
Very welcome
General Hydroponics has a "Feed Chart Generator" you can refer to for each week of growth. I'll bet you are using a syringe for the nutes by now those pipettes are a pain in the ass. Nice vid.
Ya i got a syringe/plunger deal now. That pipette was fine when i have 1 tent. Now with 3 running it qas takin too long
@@CannaBeardGrows wanna save even more time(and money), do some research into soil building and the soil food web and korean natural farming techniques, there are plenty of ways to have a thriving living soil that mimics the disease and pest resistance using stuff you cab definaly get for free around here.mother nature got it right thousands of years ago
This is an OLD vid I'm growing organic outdoor now. And mineral baced indoors I dont use gen hydro no more yo.
Yeah that's what I have been using and it's well worth it water proof best 110 dollars I've spent
the way i start is "good ol calmag" drops the bottle!😂😂 great stuff man
Ph fluctuation is great .
I
I could see that.
I been feeding 5x with the same calmeg... No issues but I think I'll file it back just a little 😅
If can be hard to adjust ph with tap water sometimes. If you have hard water and if they use a lot of buffers it can be hard to keep a stable ph.
Iv found that most nutes balance the water on there own often... rairly have i had to adjust the ph much....
Apera instruments makes a excellent ph pen for 45$. You need a 4 buffer and a 10 buffer to really make your pen accurate.
Thank you mr. Canna beard for the great information.
Plans not only need nutrients but they also have to like the nutrient line that you given them. That is why lot of growth have great success growing certain things with certain type of fertilizers certain kind of substrates. The simple fact that the plans actually liking it.
Awesome video man! Thank you for taking the time to spread information.
Happy to help. Thats what this platform is for... knowlage and entertainment
Great, thanks for all that, just starting out with indoor grows. Very successful outside.
Good luck. Let me know how u do
Awesome video mate, very informative, the PH breakdown was very good to know
You are right always use less then recomended and if you have too work your way up
Hey brother great info but I think you mixed the veg feeding with the flowering feeding
WAY TO MAKE IT EASY AND ORGANIZED FOR ME....SHEESH GET IT TOGETHER DUDE
Question??? So I use fox farm soil and the soil is PH @ 6.5. My nutrients I use are advanced nutrients. Should I add nutrients in the feed right when I transplant to new soil? I’ve had some sort of deficiency or lockout. What do you recommend? Please help
I'd recomend just water at first to flush if u think ur having issues. Thwn slowly add nutes again
Nice, the pH buffer explanation was perfect, that table made it all make sense haha, always corrected but never really understood why🙄
I also was a bit confused at first I tried to say it the way it makes sence to me
@@CannaBeardGrows everyday a schoolday dude🧐 works for me, keep up the good work
Always searching to find better ways of feeding my plants, I ended up here.
Hi, so glad you posted this response, it answered some big questions we had. But we have more ?s. Will you email/FB messenger so we can chat private
You're exactly right pH last no matter what
@@jason__337 That's actually incorrect.
Feed them twice a month?? That's something new....
@@Levonsiio I've never heard of people feeding only twice a month tbh dude. I'm new to this but I've watched a lot and not once heard to do that. I agree with him check ppm just make sure its low to begin with
@@leonmichell107 feeding mine every 5 days.. seems to be perfect.. got control of all the ppms I needed.. I fked up with the syringe 💉 measuring, don't aks how lol 🤭🤭... got 2 in coco, 1 in hydroponics, all growing healthy and strong bro 💪🏻
This video is great, it help me a lot! thank you so much! I'm from Argentina so i have no problem with litre jajaja but i gotta do it with gallons, feets and that stuffs jajaja
You should wait a half hour after adjusting the pH to let the buffers totally solve to check it again.
I thought the flora blend says to add last on the bottle? I’m using general Hydroponics Flora Series and trying to figure out the correct mixing order. Can’t find much on the order. I just been going off wht it says on the bottle.
@Neil Jones always do armor SI first then cal mag then micro grow bloom.
This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Welcome
Thanks for your video my plants are growing I say it's one of the best videos to learn how to make Ph water n nutrition and I watched alot videos (Y)
Happy to have helped
Learn how to convert liters to gallons. 1 gallon is 3.7liters (might as well say its 4liters). Get a little scale for measuring dry nutrients.
Aeration doesn't remove chlorine as fast as people think, even 24hrs of aeration only removes some of the chlorine. And it basically doesn't touch the chloramines.
Wouldn't worry about chlorine or chloramines unless you're adding things like humic acid. In that case you can either start with RO water or add some vitamin c powder to the tap water to neutralize the chlorine and chloramines. (it doesn't take much but it does lower ph and slightly raise EC/PPMS.)
I also have the exact same PH meter and you're super smart for getting the calibration solution.
Underrated video fosho🔥
Cheers
Do you ever check your pH a day or 2 later and it's 2 point higher then when you made it?
I dont check my soil. I just make sure the waters going in are all about 6.4 ish
Not my soil my mix made a day or 2 ahead of time. The pH is always way high if I mix it to soon. So I make it the morning of watering. With water that has been bubbling for 2 days
@@detroitvapes4202 pH rise in a res usually indicates anaerobic growth. Are you keeping the mix aerated while it sits?
I havnt checked the ph of my plants or soil in years, but my soil is so alive and teeming with living microorganisms they actually are the ones that eat it to break it down to a useable form(mineralized). Then the you will be able to transform food or paper wastes into black gold
I like how you got your feeding schedule set up..well how you feed your plants..I'm still new to the cannabis world..still learning..😁
Just so everyone knows general hydroponics is owned by Monsanto. No hate just a heads up so make people aware.Great video though a lot of really good info. Remember guys more weed less greed.🎄🎄🎄
Monsato?is that bad ?sorry dont wanna sound dumb..
They are a shitty xompany genetically modifying foods. However thy only own genhydro. They didnt make the recipes
I don’t understand why people think it’s a big deal. We’ve been genetically modifying plants and animals for thousands of years. But all of a sudden it’s a bad thing to help enable disease, and insect resistant plants to grow faster while producing higher yields?
genetically modifying is done by cutting a DNA molecule from one plant or animal and splicing it into the DNA chain of another plant or animal which changes its genetic instruction for natural development the reason they say plants are insect resistant is because with the modifications came the ability to spray crops multiple times with poisons like monsanto/bayer glyphosate or round up won't kill the plants just what ever eats it
Check your runoff ppm during flush, just a tip. I have to laugh, good educational video for newbies, but man you made feeding look like a huge task lol. I grow with no nutes, just good soil and good water. May your harvest be plentiful!!!!
Just talking about ideas mate

Bro no bullshit this was the best video I’ve watched .... SOOOO HELPFUL!!!! Thanks ....
You said it measure in liters, it said also 1 teaspoon per gallon. 1 teaspoon is 5ml (edit) you corrected it later on
This is the issue. I wish they all just used one or both. Not one or the other. It gets a bit confusing at times lol
I know.. And another funny thing is that they say 1ml /L (4ml/4L) or 1tablespoon /g. and 1 tablespoon is 5ml xD

Iv grown a ways since then but I still show the good with the bad
My new PH meter just arrived! I was feeding at 3.2 PH wow wtfffff. My nuts are all wacky and now my PH up and down arrived.
Make sure you calabrate your en first. They are often way off when they arrive
CannaBeard Grows I calibrated using the 4.0 buffer solution and 6.8 buffer. Got it dialed in. One of my nutrients was making it too acidic. But got it down now.
I also made a similar mistake. At least u got it now mate 😎

U should go back and watch my very first grow vid. I sorta do. It's awful tho gotta warn ya
Wow !!!! you explain the pH level so fine and fast people make it too complicated thank you !!!!
I'm dead 🤣 the table spoon is half a teaspoon. And the teaspoon has a tablespoon on the other side. Guy your silly.
Silica's always go in first always give it 5 min to blend before moving to next nute I always wait 5 min between every nute myself and use a water pump in the rez to keep it mixing also cal mag isn't needed in city water
"Why can't you make both?" because the USA was too dumb to convert to metric in 1980s like most others.
All I can ask is why?? Nobody knows how many feet are in a mile or r what temperature is boiling in farenheit! I do know that 100C is boiling and there's a thousand meters in a kilometer.
Cus there is a large chunk of us Canadians at least from the late 70s thru 80s that were taught BOTH METRIC AND IMPERIAL in school and im a fishtank guy that's all imperial so alot of our generation gets confused ... also im a stoner...
