I love that you mentioned keeping your gut healthy in order to keep your brain healthy! The gut-brain axis is like a super-highway connecting the gut and the brain. If you ignore either end (the gut or the brain) you won't see as profound of a benefit. I see this all the time when people have tummy issues and hyper-focus on the gut and ignore the brain side of the equation.

It might not be possible, as food, though potent, is not medicine. Don't feel bad if you cannot get off the medicine simply by eating right food. It's still worth to eat variety of products anyway :)

@@dorotakowalska6090 Food was used as medicine for a long time before big pharma came along. Many still use food/herbs for medicine and they work just fine, sometimes even better than the big pharma drugs because they don't have all of the side effects that come along with it.

A couple of months ago a friend of mine gave me the advice to be more mindful of eating enough protein because I had a hard time feeling satisfied after meals. Yesterday I was looking through my mood tracker and I realized I’ve been feeling really happy for almost a month. Who knew protein could help my mental health???? This is amazing! Love all the knowledge in this video, will save and definitely rewatch. Thank you 🙏

This video is so beautifully and carefully created. Many mom's don't realize that a toddler's/child's mood swings are a result of missing some of the nutrients mentioned in this video. It's called "hidden hunger" where multiple micronutrients are missing and cause outbursts, tantrums and the works. Goes to show how processed foods and anything unhealthy can affect us in such a negative way. 🙃🌿

Would you be up for explaining whether it’s healthy to eat with the seasons / with a focus on certain foods for a period of time? I find it difficult to get a lot of variety each week (I have ADHD and it takes a lot of brain power), and “naturally” I go through phases where I focus more on certain foods in each season (which also makes sense from a nature-standpoint). Do the vitamins and minerals stay high long enough to go through this cycle each year?
