I don’t know if you’ll ever read this. But pick up limes is my absolute favorite youtube channel and it’s not only the amazing food recipes but the aesthetic calming aura that these videos have is just unmatched. Kudos to you and Robin and everyone in your team for all your hard work. Cheers !
I love your energy and spirit! Even though I'm not vegan, I enjoy your recipes so much! You helped me increase drastically the plant-based meals in my diet (I'm flexitarian now) and I'm very happy about it :) THANK YOU
I'm a flight attendant and I'm in my second month of flying and I've been having a hard time to have a deep sleep already. I am going to get all these ingredients and try these recipe. Thank you Sadia! Long time follower x
Love the video! Could you maybe do another episode but with late night snacks that don't make a lot of noise (blender, food processor etc) when preparing? For us night shift workers or student night owls with roommates 🦉
Just stopping by to say the PUL app is an absolute masterpiece. The recipes, meal planning and grocery list features are all a 10/10. The features link together seamlessly and intuitively and the overall user experience is just outstanding. I can’t imagine going back to any other method of meal planning! Highly recommend to all those here who enjoy this style of eating!❤❤❤
Oh wow, this means so so much Kirsten, thanks so much for all your love! We're so glad you're enjoying the app, its features, and all of the recipes 🥹 thank you!! ❤
I just love how they explain everything to us so we can understand them , and they make it fun so we don't get bored or distracted ( which happens to me very often) plus they are having fun to which is amazing. So thank you! You're amazing guys!
Yes! Thank you for posting a video that encourages us to follow our hunger cues. The majority of the research coming out now about the positives of intermittent fasting are mostly testing men. My doctor encourages me to have a bedtime snack that includes protein, fat, and carbs. You guys are so on it!
Her videos are the kind of videos that you don't just wanna listen but watch too.... She is awesome with accents, I really loved how cute you were in that old video and also your nail colour. Of course the recipes look mouth watering
Thank you sooo much!!!The food and your whole channel has a calming effect!!!I am a student who only snacks after school(Friday only) and has 3 meals only 6 days of the week,I am in an after school Friday snack rut and those are perfect after school❤❤❤
Creative cooking is always lovely! However, I would make these earlier during the day. Years ago, I used to snack until bedtime, but then tried out how it is to avoid eating after 8pm, and without any extra effort I lost 20Kg, and my sleep is much calmer. So that is my way. Key to amazing sleep is in knowing how to calm your nervous system, cooking the right kind of foods is certainly one way to achieve that.
You have been such a gift to my precious kitchen and I. Love every video that you make. Your channel is hands down, the BEST that youtube has to offer in plant based love. Thank you for all of the time and energy that you dedicate to your audience. I adore your app as well. You make my life easier and my body healthier! We are lucky to have you!
Aw you're the best, thanks so much for the all the love 💕 and I'm soooo happy to hear you're enjoying the app too 🥹 thank you, friend! I feel so lucky to have YOU!
I am SO glad that I stumbled upon your videos!! What a delight! Thank You God for this helpful accomplished humble approachable lady who likes to cook and inspires me to try new things in the kitchen. Cheers! 😊
I tried the cheesecake dip. It's so satisfying when a recipe turns out the way you really hope it would 😋 It's really good! And you're right you don't even taste the butter beans 😄 Thanks 👍🏽
Thank you for these recipes. I am wondering, are there any other recipes besides the cashew butter/bean dip that you love to make for bedtime snacks that do not contain cocoa? I find that eating any form of cocoa before bed gives me too much caffeine and actually causes me to stay awake rather than fall asleep.
The old video is not cringy at all, to be something you were just trying! 😮❤ Love the ideas in this video - I'll be dreaming about those pb filled balls until I manage to make them - but I wouldn't make them for before bed as cocoa tends to wake me up! 😅
I love when you add geeky nutrition science details! Two questions: Around how long before bed do I need to eat these snacks to reap the benefits? And does fiber still fill its function when blended?
ty ty ty. i LOVE the cheesecake dip. i sometimes throw in a few other things. i make a large batch. sometimes i use a can of white beans & a can of kidney beans. i throw in pineapple or dates sometimes. i will use thick chia pudding (cashew milk & ground chia seeds) instead of or in addition to vegan cream cheese
I loved the recipes and I'll surely be trying them out soon, but Sadia's attack on accents was definitely the best part 😂❤ I love Pick up Limes so much and I've done so for years, thank you for existing ❤
Hey Sadia. I am glad I chanced upon your UA-cam channel. In fact I have subscribed to the French learning channel Piece of French and she recommended your channel. Being a vegetarian myself I am confident that I will come across some excellent recipes here. I tried your energy balls and voilà it came out so well. God bless dear and best wishes to you from Bangalore, India. Can't wait to try out some more of your magic recipes. ❤
Those energy balls are fantastic! i've been trying to get time to make them and finally did..Not only are they easy af but the are amazingly yummy!!!! Ty so much for that awesome recipe⭐️
your energy is contagious!! 🤗🤗 thank you for these amazingly researched recipes and making me chuckle at how wholesome / far you've come since 10 years ago 😅❤
Amazing content as always! And I'm particularly impressed that you managed to pour the cocoa directly from the sauce pan without the liquid racing down the side of the pan lol, it happens to me every time
I've recently given myself permission to eat in the evening as part of intuitive eating. But I also know if I overdo it I will regret it! Looking forward to trying these....
I love you, Sadia, thanks for all the great work you and your team do!! These little videos are masterpieces, none of your recipes has ever failed me and I CANNOT wait for the android app!!! ❤😊 Love from Germany to the Netherlands!
Sadia I love your videos even if I have no intention of making any of the recipes. Your videos are so relaxing and you literally are the cutest human I’ve seen on the Internet! I love the outtakes at the end 😍
I will for sure try all 3 of these recipes. Your videos are always so beautifully done. Everything is so well thought of and your dishes are so nice. I also like the fact that you don't say "you guys" every two minutes. ❤
I love your videos and have been watching for years, it was so endearing to see the younger you! Have you ever tried wheat germ, peanut butter, and honey balls? They are so good! Wondering what your nutritional take is on that combo!?
Please can you make a video on POCS and the correct nutrition for women, Also can you do one about intermittent fasting and how or what to eat on fasting days.
Do you have any recipes for getting things moving along the digestive tract if the train has stalled? Or are there foods to avoid to prevent future delays?
You may have an article about this but I'm curious about dates and their high sugar content. I'm trying to limit my sugar intake and these all seem high in sugar, especially with the dates. They all look absolutely delicious. Those chocolate and peanut butter balls would be a great quick snack before bed.
The sugars in the dates and maple syrup are natural (vs. processed, like white sugar) and therefore have a low glycemic index. That means you won't get a sugar high and then a sugar crash. Also, Sadia mentioned that the carbs help with faster absorption of the tryptophan.
Dates, like other fruit, contain unprocessed sugar. Plant foods like fruit have a fibre matrix that helps decrease the rate at which you absorb the sugars. It's different to table sugar which is absorbed rapidly and causes sugar spikes. Unless your doctor has told you that you cannot eat fruit for some reason, there's no reason to avoid dates or other fruit entirely. Just be sensible about your consumption.
Foam? 🫧😅 📲 Get the Pick Up Limes app (1-week free trial!): bit.ly/PUL_app

I felt so seen in the beggining, about craving food before bed ❤... I just think it needs a Part 2, with savory snacks 🥲

Rains and girl your voice.... are two most soothing sounds...😍😍
The hot chocolate looks great! Is there a concern with the caffeine in the cocoa right before bed?
Definitely. This is not good for sleep in anyway shape or form.
My mother-in-law can have an espresso and go straight to sleep no issues. If I have 1 square of dark chocolate I'll be up until 3am 😂
Sadia specifically mentions using Dutch-processed cocoa, which has about 2/3rds less caffeine than regular cocoa.
