Aw. Man I didn't even THINK about bubbles. We actually sold bubbles at our booth. 😅 Fortunately it wasn't an art fair but a bigfoot festival, so hopefully no damage done. But it was my first booth anywhere so I have a lot to learn. It's nice you are putting up lists like this. Notes taken.
It so nice of you to be thinking about other artists and vendors! If your bubbles were damaging anyone's art, you probably would've been asked to stop them by your booth neighbors. I've seen some vendors demonstrate bubble guns into a bucket so that they don't spread through the air as much. One idea anyway...
At one craft event, I was next to a "hawker".... he was yelling out for people to come to his booth to get some kind of a deal and the result? Some people skipped right by the booths on either side of him to go to his booth (not giving customers a chance to see our stuff), and other people hurried by our whole section so they could get away from him. I made it a point to never set up anywhere near that guy again!
I agree with most of it but I don’t see harm in a vendor sitting next to their entrance. It’s casual and inviting and how is there not enough space to walk? I usually feel uncomfortable walking into tents because it’s too closed in and the vendor is uncomfortably close. It feels like stepping into someone’s private space. At least if the vendor is chilling at the entrance there’s less in your face sales pressure.
The problem with the vendor sitting out front is that customers will end up talking to them while they're sitting out front. This ends up creating a distraction from the neighboring booth. Not only this, but the people talking to that vendor often spill over into the front of the neighbor's booth. This could cause people not to walk into that neighbor's booth or cause enough noise from talking that it distracts people inside the neighbor's booth from purchasing.
I have just come across your channel and I am sooo grateful for the wealth of information you offer. I have been taking steps to venture out and start to offer prints of my work. I have watched 4 of your videos so far and learned or confirmed so much, especially regarding your recommended printer. I must admit I was a little distressed thinking that the P900 was already being superceded .....but thank goodness....No!! Here in Australia, this model is known as the P906. Same... same...but different name!!🙄 Thankyou!!!
I actually set up my booth at one music festival in Colorado, there was so much weed smoke there, it was awful, I was never so happy to get to clean air after that weekend lol 😝
I know right?! It's crazy but they smoke in their tent... I've also seen artists leave large paintings out in the rain, some artists just don't care about their work I guess.
@@KrystleColeArt I wish! If they were to blast Technical Itch or GEIN, I'd be in Heaven. But, most people don't even know what EDM is, not here in America, anyway. It's more popular in Europe.

Good to know about the name being different in Australia. Thanks for sharing that in the comments to help others who may be wondering! :)

How bout smoke machines? They good?
Also i will play flute music. Lol
I've never encountered a smoke machine at an art fair
I hate country-western 🤢 and love drum and bass 🥰.
Too bad more art fairs don’t play EDM on the stages 😁
