    Having low-priced items is super smart. If you can get your info on the back of the items, it can keep you in people's mind down the line.

    I do Facepainting at events sometimes, and I learned early on that if an event is not willing to pay me hourly, and they want me to just charge customers individually, 9 times out of 10 there is going to be no one there 😆 I think I did about three events where the coordinator said I could have a free table and charge per person, and I made like $15 at each one lol.

    Great advice! Thanks for sharing. I am currently seeking guidance on how to pack sold paintings at an art show. I haven't been able to find any videos on this topic. Perhaps you could consider covering it in a future video.

      Great idea! I will make a video on the topic! In the meantime, I usually package my large paintings that sell in trash bags at the shows. I try to get the kind that are made for leaves if it’s a really large painting. I have smaller bags that I get that are retail store bags for my smaller paintings. Though, I have seen some people package them with cardboard or shrink wrap. I just usually don’t have the time or helpers at the show to do that much packaging. I usually recommend for customers to leave the paintings with me with a sold sign on them until they’re ready to leave the show. That way they don’t have to walk around with it.

      Thank you so much for considering my suggestion! I'm excited to see the video on this topic. Your approach of recommending customers to leave the paintings with you with a sold sign until they're ready to leave the show is a great customer service tactic and ensures their convenience. I appreciate you sharing your insights and methods! Looking forward to the video.

      Digital art is art created using the computer, iPad, etc. I make my digital art with a program called Procreate on my iPad. It basically gives you the ability to draw with an Apple Pencil and use digital paint and paint brushes to make paintings. So they are digital paintings :)

      I paint animals in naturalistic color sometimes, never in black-and-white. I need color! :)

    I do disagree with the booth fee being high indicating that it will be a good event and vice versa.

    • @KrystleColeArt
      @KrystleColeArt  9 місяців тому +3

      Everyone experiences different things. But I have never made $5,000 to $10,000 at an art fair with a booth fee of less than $300 to $500. If you’ve made that much and had really low booth fees, could you please comment with what shows they were? Would love to know if they are in the Midwest because I would like to vend at them! Maybe others would as well 😁😁

      The Craft Fairs i go to cost £10 and I usually make £30. I don't have the ability to access the bigger shows away from my town as i don't drive! @@KrystleColeArt

    500$ for booth is not a indication or guarantee to be a good show or a lot of buyers; the rest of the tips are good.

      My daughter has been to multiple shows. Size and booth fees don’t determine sales. She’s made more at some smaller fairs, and less at some bigger fairs. Get to know that fair’s seasoned vendors to learn the personality of the regular customers. Be a customer the first time, then apply to set up at the next event.
