@@KrystleColeArt well, ya not only tried- you succeeded. It's odd how looking at the structure of something completely different from your field is actually much more useful if you're intuitive about translating and conversion (in simplified terms, connecting the dots). As one of your previous videos mentioned a discovery by NASA, they actually made unrelated discoveries in space that had life shifting benefits on Earth.
It's so kind of you to share this for small artists❣ Being more of a writer, I guess most of these wont be for me yet, but I have two friends that make art, one who is trying to live off it, so this is really nice to have and show them!
Love your channel!! Another thing artists can do is wear their art. Like the shirt you have on seems like you have one of your paintings on it. Also accessories you take with you like travel mugs, tote bags, etc. always have your business card, QR code set up, so you can hand out your info and easily find you. Your biz card could have an image of a painting on one side too so they will likely want to keep it for the art.
I'm trying to make this the year where I can finally become financially independent from my work as an artist and youtuber. I am not yet so close to monotized my UA-cam channel, so working hard to make it work.
I watched one of your videos, very calming! Just keep sticking with it, eventually one of your videos will takeoff. It'll just take some time. Well, at least that's what I keep telling myself anyway lol :-)
I appreciate that your talking to people like you have been there too. No crazy voices or spinning video or things that have nothing to do with what you’re talking about. Just keeping it real. Thank you for not wasting my time. 🎉
You’re welcome! Happy to know that you like the style of my videos. I try to make them completely on point with not a lot of extra fluff. Personally, when I watch videos to learn I prefer just to get the information and not all that extra stuff so that’s why I like to make videos this way. Glad you found my channel helpful :-)
Wow. I am a beginner 76 years and this is overflooding good info. Thank you. So much opportunity,s. Wish I was younger. Always my dream to have an artgallery. Gues I have to wait for an other lifetime. By the way you make beautifull Art. ❤
It's so impressive that you actually have opinions and stories about each of those online services and other income sources. To be honest, it's daunting how many of them there are. I guess one just needs to try them each one at a time for a while. Like you said, you've been doing this for over a decade. That's probably what it takes. Thanks for the perspectives and advice.
Looking at all of the income streams can be daunting, but I would suggest starting with focusing on one at a time. I am the type of person who works a lot. And I have a lot of drive when it comes to growing my art business, so I'm very motivated, I hustle. If you get into that mindset and work at it, you will get through setting up each of them surprisingly quicker than you think you will. I've actually done a lot more things than this when it comes revenue streams thought my art career, but I only included the ones that I thought beginners could easily do. There is a surprising number of ways artists can make money :)
I am really grateful for all your information. I am an artist who has lived off of art all my life. Now I am learning new ways and strategies to continue like this and I found you on UA-cam. Thank you Krystle. Your videos are the best I have seen. I congratulate you. I hope you continue to have many successes!
Hello Krystle , nice to meet you. I came across your channel yesterday and watched one of your videos. I have to say, you are really helpful I thank you 🙏 for your hard work!
Several about shipping, see my art shipping playlist. None about sales tax so far. What specifically are you wanting to know about sales tax? What platforms do you sell on? 🎨
@ I see some artists posting they only collect sales tax for online sales in their state. How would that even work since it’s automated? I sell on Etsy, my FASO website and am on ArtPal and Pixels, but I rarely get sales on those two.
This is a lot of very useful information! I make digital art and comics, what are the best sites that can print and ship my work? It seems like a lot of the sites you list require me to do that.
@ for uploading to say redbubble or society6.. I have many items for sale but I’ve seen suggestions saying the work needs to be vextorized for scaling which makes it much harder for me so i was just wondering. I’ve considered using printify on my website but im concerned its going to be too much work. Thanks for these tips im desperate to figure it out for myself
I don’t, I’d rather have a thriving business and be making cool artwork I love then going to raves and partying like I used to do back 20 years ago lol ❤️
Your videos are so much more sound advice and real information than 99% of the ecommerce channels on here.
Awe thanks, I try 😁👍
