If you would have seen the KARATE music video you would know that BABYMETAL would absolutely destroy The Warning in a fight. Su-metal punches the ground in that video and it leaves a massive crater in the ground.
Didn't you see 'Karate'? Moa can catch flies with her eyes closed and BABYMETAL never give up, even when they've been knocked down and everything seems hopeless they get back up and battle on. Of course BABYMETAL would win, they've got all the moves. But after they'd won the fight they would help the Warning girls back up to encourage them to take their own path ... because 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai'. Anyway, this song - "Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Welcome back, great reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘 The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance. This is what Tom Morello said about this song: "I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I’ve been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of METALI!! I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!" Just to pick you up on a couple of things you said. You clearly forgot what you learned during your BABYMETAL series. The song writing was always really good - 'Gimme Chocolate' was not only not their first song it was also not typical. They had some great and very deep songs like IDZ and Megitsune which also had a very complex song structure - and talking complex song structures in songs long before GC was recorded, don't forget 'iine' and 'Uki Uki Midnight'.😁 On the Captain Pugwash crew names (I used to love some Captain Pugwash "Ahaarrr me hearties!") .... you know you said you couldn't make that stuff up? Yay! Welcome back to Babymetal, really enjoyed your deep dive week on them a while back. One thing I must say, yes, Babymetal has grown since the “Gimme Chocolate” days, both in style and maturity. However, they have had complex and very well written songs since the early days. This applies to lyrics, song structure, and musical composition. Of course, they have their simple and goofy ones too. Warning the same old rock we have had since 70s going through the same old rock poses on stage , BabyMetal new, different no one else like them and if you seen this live it shows why they have being voted best live act more than once . Warning played Milton Keynes in the UK ,BabyMetal played Wembley Arena 😮 and won the hearts of Sonisphere metalheads in 2014 when Su was still 16 and Yui and Moa only just 15 and your main weapon has only one base drum BabyMetal has 2 ( all in fun Warning are great as well ) 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Love what you had to say about Babymetal, they have worked so hard and here's where I give them the edge. They have against all odds created their own genre of metal. And from a very young age-and yes I know the Warning has been playing from a very young age too-have never to my knowledge played anything but original material to the highest professional standards. And whose crowd interaction is of a calibre perhaps never but at the very least rarely been equaled. But the Warning have been amazing in their own right and more power to them.
Wait, the three women summoned by the fox god, with their never-give up attitude and superior conditioning, lose the fight! Fair enough then. Will have to bring babybones next time! Great reaction guys 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction but, Babymetal would win that fight! They have defeated demons with karate and sonic vocal pulses. If that wasn't enough, Momometal could tell them bad jokes relentlessly until their ears bled, lol. Kitsune up! 🤘🦊🤘🤣🤣

IMO it's disrepectful to compare these two bands; both are exceptional in their own right. Comparing a primarily rock group against one that is genre-bender is apple v oragnes. However, in a cage match it is no contest. The stamina and physicality of Babymetal would wear out the Warning. Babymetal are warriors. The petite (she is not small) Moametal is a ninja, especially protecting her queen. Momometal is well--versed in using dual swords. And Su-metals death stare .
Suffering seagulls!, someone did make the Pugwash stuff up - sadly - though the same chap did a similar Medieval set of stories called, tadah, The Adventures of Sir Prancelot. I encountered Hedgehog chips in the late 80s in real ale pubs
Hi, I think you are also a fan of The Beatles? Maybe you already know them? The Analogues! The very, very best cover band of The Beatles! They play everything live, even the songs that The Beatles never performed live! With all original instruments and more. Nice to start with "A Day in the Life". The band also has a great documentary about the quest to completely unravel the original.
Ahh, my nephew's favourite band again, I enjoy them too. But definitely not blues. If you want blues, it surprises me that our Aussie boys haven't recommended Chain and their only hit song black and blue, despite that they had quite a few great original songs. Matt Taylor, the lead singer, has also done a few solo albums, most popular being Straight as a die from 73' and my favourite song is chickens, very blue grass blues. 💙
Hi Barbara, we covered Chain's Black and Blue earlier this year, it must have snuck under your radar. It's just before the Sunbury week if you'd like to have a look.
@@christhecurator Oh okay, thanks, it might have snuck under my radar, or I might've forgotten.... Menopause is my excuse 😄, but the upside is that I could watch the same thing more than once and still enjoy it. 🤣 I know I've missed quite a few posts, cos I don't like being on line too long or often.
I strongly urge that you guys take a listen to Ben Caplan and his song "40 Days and 40 Nights". He will blow your mind as much as Black Pumas did. He will not disappoint and he is a Canadian artist who deserves more love.
It's a decent song, probably it will be a crowd pleaser in live performances; but I just didn't think it was special. I'd give it a 7. Oh, steel cage death match between Babymetal and The Warning? Both bands enter, but only The Warning would exit, in my opinion. That's a gruesome thought, lol -- I'd hate to lose either band!
Ha ha, Brian, I am loving that you think the song is ok. I know Babymetal isn't your jam; so, I am interpreting 'ok' as high praise for something that isn't your thing.
@@lencooke944 Hi Len! I definitely have not given Babymetal much praise, but I have liked some of the songs that Alex, George, and Chris have presented reactions too. I'd go so far to say that I liked at least one or two of their previous songs better than this one, thus my tepid score.
What is music to some people could be noise to someone else. You can appreciate the noise/music. It doesn’t mean either one can not be great musicians jut that some may not be what you would listen to We are exposed to many types of good music just some forms do not inspire me to buy an album
@@rickfairman5640 Very true. I appreciate that this isn't your type of music, but rest assured there are many millions of people worldwide who do enjoy Babymetal. In the period between 31 January this year and 20 December, Babymetal will have performed at almost 70 sold out concerts across 14 countries, as well as around 10 appearances at music festivals. They seem to appeal to a wide cross-section of people, even if you aren't lining up for tickets to their shows.
You guys obviously never went to a Babymetal concert. To put their show against The Warning is taking the dignity away from the latter band. Not only in diversity, but above all in originality. The Warning plays very decent generic rock, while Babymetal created their own type of metal, with songs that drive the whole audience bonkers. No comparison, and there shouldn't be.
Pretty sure they were not comparing BABYMETAL and The Warning in a musical sense at all. Just a bit of a goofy who would win in a fight chat. Which they got horribly wrong in my opinion but that's fine since it was just a bit of fun.
the Warning more focus on the music as opposed to creating an event where affects more important than the music thats just me. they are excellent for the audience they are playing for just not my taste in music.
You guys always work really hard to insult someone. This time the Japanese lol. SNL isn't funny. That's just fact. Not afan of the genre, but Babymetal is sure good at what they do. And I agree this song will do incredible at festivals.
Not sure how old is old, but I am 75 and although I used to listen primarily to Classic and Jazz on a traditional audio system, BABYMETAL has thrown a monkey wrench into my audio setup. Now all I care about is how good BABYMETAL live concerts sound. I flew from DC to Japan to be at their live @ Makuhari this January and ran in the circle pit twirling a muffler in the air/ drove to Philly this August and shouted along with them for METALI, and will be in Spain for their Barcelona and Madrid concerts. My 18th Bluray should be arriving soon... so in my case, age is not a barrier for BABYMETAL. 🦊🦊🦊
If you would have seen the KARATE music video you would know that BABYMETAL would absolutely destroy The Warning in a fight. Su-metal punches the ground in that video and it leaves a massive crater in the ground.
Saw this live in Toronto a couple of weeks back - it's even better than you could imagine from a crowd interaction perspective.

Well said and good points made!
Suffering seagulls!, someone did make the Pugwash stuff up - sadly - though the same chap did a similar Medieval set of stories called, tadah, The Adventures of Sir Prancelot.
I encountered Hedgehog chips in the late 80s in real ale pubs
Well good story none the less!
@@TheThamesmen 'Tis true, that ol' cliché - never let the facts get in the way of a good story. I certainly don't:-)
Welcome to the Matsuri 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks!

Would love to see the doc. Sounds interesting

Physical fight obviously the Warning, in a concert setting Babymetal and not even close
Our conclusion too!
I know I've missed quite a few posts, cos I don't like being on line too long or often.
Well we appreciate you when you are here!
@@TheThamesmen Aww shucks, thank you 😘💗
Subscribed. 👍👍💥💥🔥🔥!! 🦊 🖖❤
Welcome and thank you. Check out our previous reactions to Baby Metal
I strongly urge that you guys take a listen to Ben Caplan and his song "40 Days and 40 Nights". He will blow your mind as much as Black Pumas did. He will not disappoint and he is a Canadian artist who deserves more love.
Thanks for the tip

@@brianparsa7794 It's all good, Brian. Babymetal isn't everyone's cup of tea.
music channel
I'm pretty sure there was music in the video?
What is music to some people could be noise to someone else. You can appreciate the noise/music.
It doesn’t mean either one can not be great musicians jut that some may not be what you would listen to
We are exposed to many types of good music just some forms do not inspire me to buy an album
Which they got horribly wrong in my opinion but that's fine since it was just a bit of fun.
the Warning more focus on the music as opposed to creating an event where affects more important than the music
thats just me. they are excellent for the audience they are playing for just not my taste in music.
You guys always work really hard to insult someone. This time the Japanese lol.
SNL isn't funny. That's just fact.
Not afan of the genre, but Babymetal is sure good at what they do. And I agree this song will do incredible at festivals.
Honestly it does not take hard work. Comes to us by accident too easily!
Good reaction... although you ruined it the moment you compared them to other bands. I REALLY dislike that.
Not my cup of tea! Must be getting old
never too old
BABYMETAL has a ton of old fans so it's not a age thing. But its not everyones cup of tea that's for sure.
It's great that you have found a band that brings you a form of music that has awakened the joy that can move you and bring you joy@@htusda1
I know they have fans but I can stand them.... 🤮
We don’t all Have to like the same things. That’s the beauty of music.
not sure of the scoring you use. Warning to me no contest.
Highly scientific system!
