I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song and Momoko's solo speaking part with Kabuki style in the middle that gives an amazing accent in the repetitiveness. At the venu, this song followed after the Kami's instrumental. Oh My Buddha! 😍 The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is an kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi that is similar to a float in the festival.

You and Tom Morello/Babymetal collab is how I'd be with a TOOL/Babymetal collab. I'd be going absolutely BONKERS! Or Amon Amarth/Babymetal... omg... that would be amazing too. I do love this song a lot though. It's an awesome song. I legit almost had tears when Momo did her little thing in the song because I was so happy for her that she was able to play such a large part in the song where she actually gets to utilize her theatre talent and vocal technique and gets to just show her silly side as well. It warms my heart to see that she has been so fully embraced into Babymetal and not just looked at as the rookie or the new person, but as a valued member that is just as equally important as the other 2 members. So seeing that she gets to have that little skit near the end of the song (although for some reason I kind of regard that as the middle of the song lol) just makes me so happy for her and gets me excited to see the direction Babymetal is going to take in future songs as it looks like (if this sort of thing continues) these ladies are going to have a LOT of fun playing off each other and expressing their unique and quirky personalities!

I love your reactions because you react like I do. Since getting into BABYMETAL, I've never thought any song could surpass Road to Resistance as my favorite. Monochrome came close. This one might do it. I'll have to see how often I go to it and take out some recency bias. I also hope I get to see it live next month. Morello has done a bunch of solo stuff, usually under The Nightwatchman moniker. Growing up a punk kid I dig political stuff, and a lot of his solo stuff is, so I dig it. It's not Rage, but it's good. His version of the full version of "This Land is Your Land" is a personal fave.

They've already played this one live once at Apocrypha on the 16th, and the crowd went absolutely berserk. This music video is the most elaborate one they have done for a long time. Day 96 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. If you mean near the end, not yodel, just full-on enka style vibrato. I've not heard her do that before. If you meant earlier, still not yodel, but she has done similar slides. Su- obviously has leveled-up (again). Edit: ah, you meant the slides or slur transitions between notes. Those are terms used for instrumental playing, not sure if there are separate terms when it is done with voice.

The song actually dropped midafternoon yesterday, but a few hours later BABYMETAL'S channel pulled the song, and then released the the premiere teaser for this video. If you look back at some reaction channels you can actually find channels that had videos then reacting to the actual song that dropped yesterday.
The song though was actually first revealed as a live performance during a concert Wednesday. There's fan cam footage of it circulating about.

Noooice! Although, I think instead of completely ditching j-pop / metal mix, they are just blending it much better. They now have a more mature feel, versus, say, Gimme Chocolate that is a jarring juxtaposition of the two.

This music video is the most elaborate one they have done for a long time. It feels like the real beginning of the new era with Momometal on the official vocals and featuring prominently in the music video and they have clearly spent a lot of time and money producing it.

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

That thing that Su did with her vocals (is it yodeling?) in Shanti and Metalizm, is getting workout in this song.... If you mean near the end, not yodel, just full-on enka style vibrato. I've not heard her do that before. If you meant earlier, still not yodel, but she has done similar slides. Su- obviously has leveled-up (again).
Edit: ah, you meant the slides or slur transitions between notes. Those are terms used for instrumental playing, not sure if there are separate terms when it is done with voice.

Su's voice has such an electric quality - @GOTGames, would you say it's a guitar synthesiser Tom Morello is using? Or a pedal?.......I just courier-ed the 1978 guitar synthesiser, from Glasgow to London, that Pete Townshend of The Who used in that year.....& was the only famous musician to have used, forty-five years ago, 1978 cost £27,000.......I did this for a collector......my collector friend is about to receive a bit of musical equipment from Japan @Heathrow Airport, does that make you exclaim, "What the hell must that be?"
