Understandable 😅, unfortunately they cannot afford to go all in out of Japan 🙄... as others pointed out, they've done so only a couple times, Wembley 2016 and LA Forum 2019. Who knows, maybe in the next future they could tour with Rammstein... I bet Till would generously concede some spare pyro ... stuff 😂 🤘🦊⚡️
@@DeePal072 They can and have done it in the past, both in The Forum and in Wembley Arena. This is their first tour after everything that has happened in the world (and to them) since 2020, but I'm sure they'll do more arena shows in the future.
If you've only ever seen the videos filmed at their massive spectaculars in Japan, it's understandable why you might find their tour shows a little underwhelming, but speaking as someone who has seen them at massive shows in Japan and at tour shows in Australia, I think that both formats have merit. At the big stadium shows, it's an incredible spectacle to be a part of and the occasion really elevates the experience, but the actual view often isn't that great, as they put the gaijin right up back and the venues are pretty huge (15-20k people). At the tour shows, I was able to be second row, less than ten feet from them and I got to see them perform from closer than even the camera shots normally are, which is awesome. By necessity of the pace of the tour and the fact that they are playing small venues (average for the US tour was around 5k capacity iirc), the show has to be cut down to be more portable and cheaper to run, as concert tour margins are notoriously tight in the post covid touring environment, so it's understandable that the production is scaled back. Although personally I think that the core of the show is still there; Babymetal on stage with the Kami Band performing right in front of you. If the experience that you are looking for is the full multimedia extravaganza that you see on the concert videos, you need to go to Japan to one of their canonical headline shows because that's the only place they do those blockbuster performances.
Seen them in Dallas Tx August 31st and it was a blast Kami Band West is so talented along with Su,Moa,Momoa Metal -How was your experience awesome ahe.
Well, I guess it's all about expectations. I traveled to another country to see them open for Sabaton. But I knew what to expect beforehand. It was a short performance, 7 songs, 45 minutes, but I loved it. I've watched many of their concerts (actually, everything available) both in large and small venues, from all the eras. I believe it's very important to know what you are going to see. My two next concerts will be very different 2.500 people (all standing) in Barcelona and 15.000 in Madrid. Both headlining this time. But I don't expect crazy stages, lasers or pyro. To get that, you need to go to Japan. And that will be my next goal.
I totally get your point but tbh I saw them 3 times this year on smaller stages, really close up (second barrier row) and it was incredible seeing the girls so close up and see all the little things they do during their set. For the full experience you probably need to go to Japan and get lucky to win a ticker in their lottery ❤🤘🦊🔥
Its seems like the only time you are going to get the full production is in Japan. Lots of stuff to bring on the road and I dont see them selling out 15k+ venues in the states. (I know we all THINK and WISH they can) but its facts they aint. I feel you on the 7/10. I was center row 304 and since they did not have the supporting visual monitors on it felt like a very distant performance. It sounded excellent, but I never "saw" the girls just 3 figures on stage. Except that one or two times they included Sues banter on the main screen. I am going to see them at Sick New World (just reserved my ticket) and for that I am jamming the front row. Even for Polyphia at the Wiltern a couple of weeks ago, I was GA floor about 30 feet back and it felt like I was part of the show. BabyMetal sounded fantastic, I just felt distant :( I am very surprised you were surprised about the set up. I know you have seen some of the other shows or at least some clips and all the shows in the states are pretty standard set up with no theatrics at all. Just the bare bones with a large monitor with supporting lights. It seemed like you were there pretty early. I got in line about 5:30, gates opened at 6, followed the herd to the merch line (20 mins) got food (BBQ) and was in my seat at 7:00 for JR to open. He so sick, wish Luke Holland was there for his set. So I had a great show, JR, BM and out the door and home by 10. Not a huge Dethklock fan so I bounced to beat traffic back to HB.
i went the final night (10/12/23) and i loved it. i'd been following the tour via you tube videos since the start,so i knew what to expect set list-wise. i also knew we weren't getting a huge production, but for me it was all about the band and the girls, especially su-metal. then when road of resistance wasn't followed by "we are babymetal" i knew we were getting an encore. IDZ is a song they rarely play outside of japan from what i'm told,so whether you knew it or not we got something special for the final night of the tour. i was in the row right above the floor so i got to watch a lot of moshing up close, and the people were having a blast. one of the best parts of babymetal was they sing in japanese,so i didn't have some a-hole singing in my ear all night lol. the crowd did know when to yell, and their participation added to the show greatly. i guess depending on your expectations, and possibly seat location, everyone had a different experience. mine was totally satisfying. all 3 acts got to thank everyone for the fantastic response to the tour, and it felt like they had a great time on the road together. it would have been nice if the kami band had unmasked and been introduced. those guys kicked ass the whole tour. whoever you are, thank you!!
OMG the merch line was insane in Phoenix! Broke my heart, but I had to leave it. We got Maya instead of Believing or Mirror Mirror, and I was so stoked. Honestly, I expected to be weepy, but the set went so quick, and I was too far away to see the girls' expressions clearly. I mean, if I could have seen Moa's dimples, I'm sure I'd have been reaching for the tissues, but I could not. XD It was a fun time, but next time I'll get GA tickets even if I have to sell a kidney.
Only way you'll see them in the music video/DVD style you seem to want is to go to one of the Japan shows - there's no way they could have that level of show on the road in a foreign land. The point you especially get wrong is that their shows aren't "usually like this" - they actually are. The huge arena shows in Japan are probably 5% of the the shows they've ever done, they are the ones they use to film their DVDs and so forth. You also needed to be in the GA area - watching from the seats takes away from the interactivity.
I got lucky to see them close and it was a different vibe for sure couldnt imagine them opening. I do think teaming them with deathklok was a bit of a misstep. Last time they were in LA they sold out the forum and that show was full on. I hope their next tour they can team up with the new Metalverse and have a whole night of that babymetal vibe.
There's always a tradeoff. I got to see them from 20 ft away so for me it was a more intimate experience, not an extravaganza, so I didn't miss the big stage show. I agree I now need to see them with all the bells and whistles.
It is funny that several Japanese fans travel to the US for an experience they just can't get in Japan, with a less scripted and more basic show in which BM have a lot of freedom on the stage and do a ton of more personal interaction with the fans. I think they have a big enough fanbase for another headlining tour in a couple of years, that should include a couple of arena shows plus a bunch of these smaller ones (it was still a 6K venue, not really small).
Wish i did that. When i saw them in Japan, I couldnt "see" them at all. Only on the big video screens around halls. We bought tickets in a lottery and managed to win the lottery but tickets we received were right at the back...
The dream stage built for girls can only be seen in Japan. The ultimate goal for BabyMetal fans is to go to Japan to see a BabyMetal show. Luckily I just wanted to get closer and see the girls singing and dancing. So I prefer small venues. Simple lighting and stage. No fire or smoke required. But the audience is all BabyMetal fans.
No doubt, BabyMetal will return to play the Tokyo Dome again. If it's like anything like when they played 2 nights at the Dome in 2016, it's going to be an EPIC concert
I would like to see a big show in Japan just once, but to be honest, most of the time I would rather go to a US show where you can see them from 15 feet away instead of watching them on a screen from 500 feet away. It would be nice if we had some BM solo shows in the US even if it is smaller venues, but maybe it isn't worth it for them to do that in terms of money.
Unfortunately the really monster concerts are in Japan. They did a big venue once in the US, the LA Forum, back in 2019. That had one of their big stage setups.
Westerners go to Japan to see the big shows with all the bells and whistles. The Japanese fans come to the US to actually see the ladies. In the big venues your lucky if you can actually see the ladies. In a small venue you can look them in the eye. And the energy is different if you're up close jumping up and down with hardcore fans. Unfortunately you were in the back of a medium-sized venue. To see them in Japan you join the fan club and join a lottery for tickets.
You will only see a full arena show if you go to Japan. They have only ever done a full arena show twice outside Japan, once in Wembley Arena and once at the LA Forum.
You were on the opposite side of me but I was 2nd row from the floor. I got some great footage. I saw them in Vegas too so I didn't want to record too much and just soak it all in. I still couldn't help record certain stuff since I was so close. Had to catch the Megitsune shenanigans and all of BMC and Metali. Was a great show but I think the crowd was a little better in Vegas. I saw that they did an encore of IDZ the 2nd night. Jealous I missed that. I went alone and met some of the "super fans". Very friendly group. Made the wait in line much more fun. 🤘🦊🤘 We tried to warn you that is wasn't going to be as elaborate as the Japan shows. So I can see why that part was a let down. Also it's better when they are the only headliner. Their solo shows allow them to play a little longer too.
I was also surprised Babymetal didn't close in Milwaukee. Definitely needed more than an hour show to get the full effect. Me and my daughter had balcony seats, but off to the side. The girls were close, but couldn't see the Kami Band at all. Great show none the less, for my 1st time.
The set is the same whether they open or close. Same length, same songs. So it doesn't really matter except if you are like me and hate DethKlok and hated sitting through their set to get to Babymetal.
Was at the Milwaukee show as well with my daughter and we were overjoyed that BabyMetal opened as neither of us had any interest in seeing Dethklok at all...not to mention had to deal with less traffic...lol
Thanks for the rundown. That would have surprised the Hell out of me Babymetal not closing. Sounds to me like you're needing to travel to Japan. p.s. Thought it was kind of ironic Jason Richardson playing to backing tracks when Babymetal started playing with background tracks.
Thanks for the review! I saw them for the first time ever in Phoenix and had a great time. I had a similar feeling, though I knew what to expect. What I've determined is that for the huge productions, sitting or standing anywhere would be fine, but for shows like this you have to be close to the stage to really get that feeling you're looking for. Your seat was somewhat similar to mine and it's just too far away for that more simple stage. Combine that with the split crowd due to the co-headlining situation and it could lead to a feeling like you had. Next time they come I will make a point to get as close as possible!
I realised early on in my Babymetal journey that seeing them in Japan is a must. Where I saw them in Australia was good but as it was only a 5000 seat capacity venue and you could get pretty close to the stage (they were headlining). A lot smaller than your "small venue" LOL
Looks like you enjoyed it..I was there in the pit to the right of the girls, right behind the rail peeps, and was there the 2nd night as well in the pit too the left of them. Yeah, you weren't going to get that experience at this small venue. Now, when they were at the LA Forum in 2019 it was a totally different experience. They had the moving stage, etc....they had it all at that show I enjoyed fully, I tempered my expectations for this show since they were co-headlining, and playing in a small venue, and Babymetal did close the second night. Hopefully, when they do their next tour, it will be like their 2019 tour, and they wont be co-headlining, and I believe thats is what will happen.
I totally understand your feeling. I saw them at The Forum in 2019. You had only really watched videos showing a big show and it is understandable to feel short. But they could never do all what you were expecting on a tour like they were on. But i am with you in really wanting to see Babymetal in Japan with one of their big production shows. That is on my bucket list. I would think seeing them in a more intimate setting showed more of their talent, watching them dance up close, and hearing Su's anazing voice. Someone correct me if i am wrong but i think i read that they have done like 60 shows so far and 30 more to go in Europe and back in Japan. The long merch line i had at The Forum and then when got up there they didn't have what i saw but that happens. 7.5 out of 10 is still good. You had your expectations so high it would never have happened but it still sounds like enjoyed yourself and that is good.
If you want to see them in a bigger show you pretty much have to go to Japan since it's the only place they'll do those huge stage setups. And this was a pretty much "normal" babymetal show. The huge shows in Japan are more of a exception they do maybe couple times a year and these smaller shows are what they mostly do.
Your feelings are why I had to jump on Tickets for Makuhari Messe in Japan last January. Aside from the Forum, or Wembley (I may be missing some) their overseas shows are not their full on Arena setups. Every show in Japan is with crowds and production. From a financial perspective, their venue sizes, especially when hitting many cities doesn’t generate enough revenue for the production you were hoping for overseas. That is at least in a country like the US with a population spread over a considerably larger geographic area. Remember, Japan has one third of the US population, crammed into an area not much larger than California. Regardless, I did attend a number of US shows and enjoyed getting closer to women. The crowd size, enthusiasm, and production levels are simply over the top in Japan with comparatively minimal shipping costs. They carefully consider stage designs in Japan with runways to get closer for portions of the concert. However, in 20,000 plus venue capacities, you are their for the music, production, crowds, but watch most of the ladies on large video screens. Two completely different feelings. Babymetal closed the second night in LA and at half the shows.
The most common thing i hear is that many like the smaller venues, the intimate setting snd better chamce of seeing the girls. If they wasn't co headining there might have been 2 extra songs like the Australia and asia shows. I think the UK/EU tour will be a continuation of the Australian and Asia tour with the two additional songs. But of course the holy grail its seeing them play in there homeland in a big venue. Just to add watching fancams of the la shows night one seemed to have a better crowd.
I saw them in Sacramento as part of the Aftershock music festival and I had similar thoughts, although I pegged it as being an outdoor festival vs. an indoor show where they can control a lot more things. But sounds like even if I went to a place like LA for a concert, I wouldn't be getting the full experience I was hoping for. (That being said, I was close to the front of the Aftershock show and was with the crowd singing, shouting, dancing, moving crowd-surfers along)
The festival, you are also seeing them in the daylight. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like concerts are better when it's dark, or at least in a dark theater. So you can get the effect of all the lighting and whatnot.
It's incredible to see BABYMETAL in Japan. That's why many people fly to Japan to attend their concerts, but only if you can get a ticket. You have to win the drawing to buy a ticket to begin with. The drawback to seeing them in the top-notch venues in Japan is that they can be quite far from you, making it necessary to watch the jumbo screens most of the time. If you want to experience the atmosphere of an incredible live entertainment show that you've never seen before, then flying to Japan is a must. My most recent BABYMETAL experience was in Orlando in early September. I was right at the rail, so Moa saw me and waved. It's nearly impossible to get that close to them in Japan, and you can't expect that level of intimacy there. 🤘🦊🤘
A theater is a tough venue I would think for BabyMetal No mosh pits, no circle pits, and no Pyro Like having a Jet Ski in a swimming pool I bet the energy was different at that show than open floor venues
I think it was simply a bad decision to choose that theater to close the tour, a lot of seated audiences and very little space for standing audiences. An important part of BM is interaction with the audience and in that theater something like that was not possible. They were two nights in a row and they sold out quickly, they could have easily filled a stadium where they could also have had a better production as they did previously in the forum
You were SO far back (What, like the last row?), how did you think that you would be blown away in a smaller venue, where THE POINT is to get up close. In The Pit, the energy was electric, the girls continuously engaging. If you only want to see Babymetal for the spectacle, maybe you are missing the point...
If this was Rammstein playing on a basic stage set up i would be disappointed but it's different with Babymetal because it's not only about the music and the stages. For us hardcore fans there is a more personal connection in a way. Its not just seeing them in concert. It's like they are good friends and you're hanging out with them. Moa talks about wanting to meet het fans so i think they see it in a similar way maybe.
The reason I didn’t get tickets to see BabyMetal in Phoenix was the uncertainty of what the scheduled lineup would be, plus I didn’t want to spend the money when there was only one out of three acts I wanted to see. BM really needs to rethink their touring opportunities, as they have the catalog and fan base to carry shows on their own, instead of touring with unknowns that borderline clash musically with their style, and also limits the amount of time their set is. They should also trade in the amount of locations they play for playing less places, but in larger venues. Lastly, when i did see them a few years ago, after watching all the UA-cam concert footage playing in large, usually Japanese, venues, it spoiled me into expecting a similar experience of flames, etc. At first it seemed a bit underwhelming, but I quickly got over it and enjoyed the show a lot!
You can only do so much with that Stage, if you add an area show expectation you doom yourself. Su, Moa, and Momo were perfect. This seems more like a you problem at this point not a Babymetal problem.
They dont just sell them out, they provide lottery for everyone. You have to join the lottery to be allowed to get tickets. So even if you want to go, you might not be able to. I was going with 3 friends and my daughter but 2 of the friends missed out in the lottery, so it kinda sucked for them. But not me;)
I think if you had been near the front amongst the fans, it's more fun, and your experience would have been better. The first 2 times I saw them, I was near the front and it was awesome got a smile from Moa and Momoko 😁 3rd time I was way back up in the seats at Wembley Arena great but not the same . That's why I am back in the standing area at the Roundhouse in London in November for both nights of their back to back shows . Japan is my ultimate goal 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I think it's hard to compare to concerts in say, Japan, or a larger venue that has the ability to produce the effects, such as the Felt Forum in LA, that everyone expects to see from Baby Metal. I went to see them in NYC with my eyes wide open because I knew that effects would not match what seen have all seen in their concert videos. There are few places on Earth that can match Budokan, Saitama Super Arena, Makuhuri Messe, Osaka-Jo Hall, Wembley Stadium or the outdoor concerts like Download and other similar venues. I still enjoyed the show, though once again, I think I was the oldest one there, lol.
2019 LA forum was an arena show. Logistics I'm sure was a nightmare which is why they didn't do it this tour. Maybe next tour. We did warn you it wasn't going to be like a show in Japan.
I get it. It is why I haven't seen them LIVE. I get to watch the epicness of Japanese arena concerts online and a small stage is not going to be like that. Nothing taken away from these amazing young ladies and their Kami's but I want to see them at Makuari Messe Arena Tokyo, PIA Arena Yokohama or The Tokyo Dome and that sounds hypocritical and selfish but it is how I feel. So yeah I was afraid this would happen to you but just remember the majesty of what you have witnessed from your reactions of BabyMetal. And some day.........
I see you're going to see them at Sick New World 2024 Vegas. Unfortunately. You're probably give the same or worse reacton on BabyMetal because more than likely (looking at SNW poster) BM will play during the daytime without the light show(just a 45 minute set) Possible chance SuMetal makes an appearance during the night when Bring Me The Horizon plays and sings 'Kingslayer' with BMTH.. imo. Since they're playing the Vegas festival, more than likely, they're also playing solo gigs, too. I would go to a solo gig, instead.(2 hour concert)
BABYMETAL has never ever done a 2 hour concert even in Japan much less out of Japan. So don't know where you got that 2 hour concert from. The absolute maximum they'll do would be around 1h30min show but doubt they would do even that long of a show for just a normal show instead of one of their big production arena/stadium show for Japan.
Good review, shame it didn't match up to your expectations, but the 'smaller' venues (as in not the arenas they play in Japan) will always limit how much can be done in the way of pyro etc ... and it looks like where you were you wouldn't have even got the benefits of the extra visuals they use during the songs on the big screen behind them. Obviously you would have had a better experience if you had been somewhere lower, more central and closer to the stage where you will have been able to see more of the screen, the Kami Band and, of course, Su, Moa and Momoko (rather than those distant, tiny figures way below from where you were). Those are where concerts in the smaller venues score over the arenas with the big productions. Ironically many Japanese fans envy us in other parts of the world where we get to see BABYMETAL in smaller and more intimate venues because it is possible to get up close to the stage, to get the eye contacts and personal interactions with the girls that they just can't get in the Japanese arenas. They get all the moving stages, lasers, pyro and huge productions that we don't get ... I haven't counted, but I think BABYMETAL closed more of the concerts on this tour than Dethklok did (I may be wrong) and if I am right you were unfortunate getting one of the nights where Dethklok were the closing act. I saw them headline twice in London (last time was at a bit bigger venue so they did have some pyro and effects - that was a great show) and I saw them supporting Sabaton .... BABYMETAL are so much better as headliners than as an opening act.
They are just not big enough to sell out an arena... thats why the tour is small , unless you head to Japan, where they can sell out and do all the pyrotechnics. I agree without that part they become very ok , The show is part of the glory
Babymetal should've dud a solo US tour. I don't know why they did a tour with Dethklok. Imo, big mistake by KobaMetal, but their next US tour will probably be a solo US tour
I just watched a video of that show. . . Wow. . . That was a pretty low energy crowd compared to some other cities. . . Did not look full, and 20-30% of the energy from the show I attended. Also the lighting was kinda ambient bright yhe whole time. . Almost no mosh or circle pits. . . . Very few people on the floor engaging with the girls/ crowd choreo. .it struck me as perhaps many were unfamiliar . . Seeing them for first time?.. . . Im so happy the tour happened, but deathklok (no offence intended, they are very good musicians) is NOT a good pairing with Babymetal. . . They went first on the show I attended . . And played a good set. . . Just not my jam. . . Then Babymetal blew the doors off the venu. Merch lines were long but doable. I think I only waited 15-20min. I went while deathklok was setting up. . Guess it was just the venu and the lineup that underwhelmed you. . . . If they keep going the way they are im sure they will b back and in bigger venues. Kitsunes up!
Wednesday night was a good crowd. I was there. Section 105 2nd row from the floor. There was a lot of super fans at the barrier so they definitely gave the girls a lot of love and support. There was one circle pit going pretty crazy for most the set. The Venue just doesn't have too big a floor to allow for much more. They also didn't allow anyone from the seating to join in.(you needed a wrist band. In Vegas I was 1st row seats and no one stopped us from joining the floor every once in a while to do the bowing or roe boat, or wall of death. I do feel the Vegas crowd was a bit better and the girls had crazy energy that night. Moa was hilarious during Headbangerrrr. 🤘🦊🤘
I recently went a Baby Metal concert 10/10/23 and a Band Maid concert 8/15/23 and I will say that Band Maid was absolutely superior. It was my first metal concert and its a different crowd but the people were fine. The audience for the Band Maid.....people are extremely friendly and are totally into it. I was underwhelmed for Baby Metal despite replay looking forward to it. The only way I would go see another Baby Metal concert would have to be a larger arena show or in Japan. Band Maid I would go see them anywhere .
Yea, Band Maid would be the same anywhere cause they do the same everywhere they go. What was more superior? Singing? no. guitars? no. Drums? no. Dancing? no. That stupid Po time? oh yes;) 🤣🤣
@@acornsoda22 Who are they? Do you know them? Kinda weird that you are sexualizing them when nothing about their songs or outfits is sexual, they arent dressed up as Maids for example. Worried for you... Take care;)
I feel you. Having went last night myself. ( 10-12-23) Same venue. We got lucky with BabyMetal being the closers. It felt like a greatest hits show. With very few songs from the new album. (No complaints here. I got to see my fave songs.) My critiques of the show...The food vendors sucked. The food was nasty. I didn't feel Dethklok with their adult themed anime fit very well with the family friendly BabyMetal vibe. The sound was very good. Except for one point during "Death" where the levels on the snare were out of whack. (But was fixed during the next song .) The Merch line was long...But it moved very fast. ( We used the Merch tables outside by one of the gates.) Looks like our seats were a little better than yours. (Section 204) But I feel with the shape of the venue I don't think you would get a bad seat over all. Parking was reasonable...Ez in...Ez out. Our setlist: Death, Gimme Chocolate, Pa Pa Ya, Distortion, BMC, Mirror Mirror, Monochrome, Metali + Kami intro, Megitsune, Headbanger , Road Of Resistance, and IDZ for the encore. The boys in the pit were very active. Even got Su's wall of death for RoR even though it was a bit rushed. However no floor bowing during Headbanger =( . All in all I would rate the show a 8 outta 10. If you want the full experience you need to go to Japan. In total agreement there.
i was there thursday night too. i saw floor rowing during metali when su told everyone to "get low". we got the only encore of the tour (IDZ). a babymetal fan/friend of mine in sweden told me he was so jealous we got IDZ. he said, "we wont get that in stockholm next month". he said they rarely play it outside of japan,so i think we were pretty fortunate in that respect.
I was in the same section as you were, 204, also on Thursday. I completely agree with you on the Dethklok imagery. There were young girls in line dressed like BabyMetal used to with the black and red skirts. Dethklok's imagery was completely inappropriate for them. I also had issues with the sound when Baby Metal started. I had trouble hearing the girls until someone fixed the mic levels in the next song. I was also disappointed that the girls did not jump during headbanger - maybe since they are older now and cannot do that for every show. I gave it a 7 as I was slightly disappointed, but I was happy to be able to see the girls faces and not just some shape on a stage in the distance.
@@AmericanizedBrit Yeah...The distance from the stage was great for our tier. At certain points I was able to see Jason's fingers moving without a telephoto lense! Which is a huge win for me!
I have already purchased my next ticket to see them (Sick New World 2024) and I will be as close as possible for that show 🤘
Understandable 😅, unfortunately they cannot afford to go all in out of Japan 🙄... as others pointed out, they've done so only a couple times, Wembley 2016 and LA Forum 2019.
Who knows, maybe in the next future they could tour with Rammstein... I bet Till would generously concede some spare pyro ... stuff 😂

Wish I ran into you. I had extra tickets because my roommate got sick. I was 2nd row from the floor on the "Moa" side.

Budakon is the only place left where Babymetal has a crazy show. Some of the old buildings from past years have been sold and torn down.
Thanks for this concert Vlog, great that you got to experience them live 👍🙂
BabyMetal sounded fantastic, I just felt distant :(
I am very surprised you were surprised about the set up.
I wasn't ready for IDZ at all, last night was wild!
@@fickblix it was the perfect way to end the show and the tour with a positive message...no more bullying
It's occurred a few times in the west, namely at The Forum in LA back in 2019.
@@Grahlt They were headlining in Australia in smaller venues - was great (more songs).
We tried to warn you that is wasn't going to be as elaborate as the Japan shows.
Babymetal close the concert on the second day in Los Angeles they also play one more song I,D,Z
everything you want is only available in Japan or UK so far. because they do Solo concert not like tour this one tour
Lets go to Japan!
A theater is a tough venue I would think for BabyMetal No mosh pits, no circle pits, and no Pyro Like having a Jet Ski in a swimming pool I bet the energy was different at that show than open floor venues
the mosh pit was a very different experience than the mezzanine. i was lucky enough to see them last month. 🤘🦊🤘
If I were in the standing seats how would I get to the front im hella short
I think it was simply a bad decision to choose that theater to close the tour, a lot of seated audiences and very little space for standing audiences.
An important part of BM is interaction with the audience and in that theater something like that was not possible.
They were two nights in a row and they sold out quickly, they could have easily filled a stadium where they could also have had a better production as they did previously in the forum
You were SO far back (What, like the last row?), how did you think that you would be blown away in a smaller venue, where THE POINT is to get up close. In The Pit, the energy was electric, the girls continuously engaging. If you only want to see Babymetal for the spectacle, maybe you are missing the point...
exactly...maybe hes never been to a concert before...wtf🤣🤣
If you want a variety of productions, you can only do it in Japan.
Come to Japan next year!
🤘🦊✈🗾
If this was Rammstein playing on a basic stage set up i would be disappointed but it's different with Babymetal because it's not only about the music and the stages. For us hardcore fans there is a more personal connection in a way.
Its not just seeing them in concert. It's like they are good friends and you're hanging out with them. Moa talks about wanting to meet het fans so i think they see it in a similar way maybe.
yea but this guy was sitting right at the back. Makes no sense if you want to experience their concert...
@@onigiri9964 he likely got the only seats available at the time. They sold out pretty fast at most venues.
I guess you will need to travel to Japan to experience "the real" Babymetal show.
You can only do so much with that Stage, if you add an area show expectation you doom yourself. Su, Moa, and Momo were perfect. This seems more like a you problem at this point not a Babymetal problem.
I would have thought they would have had their own show. They sell out bigger venues in Japan than band maid
Japan is my ultimate goal 😁
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I already got my ticket to see them again at a venue I HAVE been to before. It wasn’t their fault 🤘
@@LocalBandSmokeout how many stages do you think they'll have?
I to started my VIP layaway for Sick new world. I just hope that i can see a stand alone concert soon.
If you're looking for real quality, you should come see a concert in Japan.
No hate, you score it as you see it, thx for the upload
A few years back they had arena shows...maybe they can next time they tour
Your expectations were clearly unrealistic. They are touring a foreign country. You're going to get a more basic setup.
I already got my ticket to see them again as it was 100% the venue and not the fox gods! Seeing them April 2024 in Vegas 🤘
Singing? no. guitars? no. Drums? no. Dancing? no. That stupid Po time? oh yes;) 🤣🤣
