Yes I think the 55 cut is still worth it to many collectors' Good question tvym.
Nah. Sorry
Coin Opp sure why not if u like it regardless of the damage.
Coin Opp 👋 how are you I'm Leroy I found something really odd and have been trying to research the variety I have had no luck its a 1995 penny it's a die crack going all the way the side of Lincolns face an it has a large die crack lump going from the top of his eye lid and eye and continue down his cheek I found it coin roll hunting can send picture ifcwill be helpful look forward to hearing from you.

Enjoy your videos very much, I had a new from bank 1955 DD so exceptional when you saw it you thought your eyes were out of focus. I was 5 yrs old in line to pay my 3 cents milk money to the cafeteria lady when I saw it. I told her it looked blurry, she smiled and said that's ok ill take it, and in her pocket it went. I'll never forget...
lol great story!! That lunch lady. lmao!!!
TNBIGdave Thats mean she was a lunch monster lady. I know how that feels got taken for a lot had a coin collection from a old well known man in the coin world willed to me he past away i had in a safety deposit box for years and just went out to sell not knowing was taken for a ride. I look bk and its not going to bring it bk n i know better .Only that would have made a lot but now i know what to do. I believe that every cloud has a sliverlining.
@@CoinOppLtd Yes i might buy it as its such a part of history and famous as a ddie.
I picked up a 2004 D with a close AM from Foodland. I kept the coin because of the yellow green color it had, but I took a closer look at it and saw the close AM and it in great condition too.
Another great video. Never knew about the 1916 and 1922 varieties. Thanks for sharing. If I had the money, yes I would pay $300 for that damaged 1955 DDO.
I think it's just as valueble. Don't let that cut stop you from seeing it as a higher value. I value it at $450 dollars. It's very rare.
Take a penny leave a penny....WOW! It looks really good too. So much visible details!! Great find :)
Also the 1955 draws me to it. I love its uniqueness. I would spend $300. I imagine there will be many on both sides of this coin haaa... Both for yes & no. Each person questions their inner self when adding to their possessions "is it worth what they are asking". Thanks a ton. Enjoyed the video!
Great video Dustin, as far as the 55 ddo goes, I wouldn't pay $300 for it, but we know it is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it, lol.
That is to true.
I'm pretty sure I would buy it at that price, especially since it is just the field and the critical parts are intact. I could actually fill that spot in my book.
Mantic Coins you could just fill that spot with the regular 1955 coin instead of the double die. Far as I know there's no dedicated spot for a 1955dd.
I have a Whitman Lincoln Cent Collection #9406 and it has a dedicated hole labeled 1955 Doubled Die in the Varieties page. This book covered 1941-1958. I suppose that I could use a different book, thanks!
Mantic Coins sounds really odd to have a spot for that considering there was maybe 40,000 examples total known to exist and I'm sure they ran many more times the folders.
Usually they leave blank spaces at the end for you to put varieties or continue onward some. Hmm interesting.
I have 3 could you please help me
Another awesome video, i learn so much each time. The woody coins are beautiful do they all have the grainy look to them? Thanks Dustin
Saw this on the group!
Woodie pennys are so cool it sucks not more people collect them i have a amazing 1960s one
I enjoy odd ball coins but I would not pay $300 for the DDO 55. Great show Dustin.
Thanks for the education👍
Hey Dustin I have a a 22 plain im so excited ill send a picture some how ty ty ty...
I like this coin oop tutorials I have learn a lot and I am going to check my coins before I put my change in the bank. The coin in question I just don't know what value can u put on a coin that was damaged and still allowed to circulate I guess $300.00 would be enough.
The 1909 and 1916 shown today have what appears to be a small L in liberty on one of the coins. Common?
Thanks for the views and to speak about the 55 I don't think I would pay $300 for that coin yes it's a nice coin it's very worn but that cut takes away any resale value there is to it so you pay $300 and then you're out $300 because I don't think any good collector is going to pay that money for the coin just my opinion
That is one of the most famous doubled dies so I would say yes.
I agree, and this one has gained additional fame now that it has been featured on this site. The condition is bad, but it has great character, and there is not another one like it.
That is an excellent point! It is a super popular variety so to someone out there it will be worth it.
Wow. Excellent.
nice coin I think it worth to grade
I don’t know. It would be hard to pay $300 for such a heavily damaged coin. $100 maybe?
Good video! I am obsessed with finding a 1922!
I was a coin shop about to buy up some wheats when i boy scout came in with his troop master. The troop master bought the kid some wheats to search. while i was talking to the dealer...the kid pulled a 1922 plain outta his wheats. what a score!! id love to find one!!!!
Coin Opp Oh man! Wondering if the kid can appreciate what he found? I doubt it.
I love the damaged 1955! It's unique!
It has some character!!! Lol jackie!!!!! how are you!?
Been wishing for a woody for years. The search continues....
As for the 1955 DD, I wouldn't pay the $300 for it, not because of the damage, but because of the weak second "5."
Yes I would
If I had money I pay way more thank you for sharing
i have a 1992 close am but it has two cuts one on each side of it could that be the way it was made or?
The 1955 ! The First cut is always the Deepest but it builds charter
Nice info, wouldn't pay $300 for that 55 DDO
Too bad that 1909s WOODY isn't a V.D.B ... Would probably be a $100k penny especially seeing the condition of it .. BEAUTIFUL COIN !!! ... I love all Woody varieties and have a collection of Woody's from 1921 all the way to a 2008 Woody ... Really can't swear the handful of Woody's I have from 1982 to 2008 are TRUE Woody's because of the zinc / copper mix but they look just like the other Woody's I have so I'm keepin em plus I also collect ALL toned coins which I have from 1959 through 2017.....anyhow great video as usual.. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing and sorry for my english
I'm still not at a point where I would spend $300 on any coin, haha. I do love he wood-grained ones though!
I like to find what i want coin searching...so i have a hard time spending money like that on one coin.
yes, exactly
I think its not a damage I have to of those that have that cut but different date but has multiples
I think it could be possible I found a few but will have to look closer again. Found few more 82 small date and another 1999 close d and a 1990d rpm
Yeah I found one
There isnt any rpm's after 1989 on any coins.Sorry for the news but its 100 % true
To complete or to add to a variety collection I surely would. However we are in the HOBBY coin collections. Because its not a mint error why cant it be a human error. It's still a 1955 DD
Yes I think if I saw it, and had been searching. There are many struck through coins in worse shape. I probably would buy it. If things were good, I'd buy it. I use to have one, gave it away. I was 13, didn't know the value.
WHAT?! In a leave a penny take a penny?!!! Holy moly!! The best thing I found in one of those is a wheat lmao
What's it worth with out the slice? Can't say ed I th h out that value but I would like to know
I got a very nice condition 1908 Indian head penny that is a woody
Hey Dustin quick question.I have a 1943 copper penny with no mint mark and it sticks to a magnet.People say its fake but it really looks real .Whst would you do in my shoes. Thanks for the information you provide.
I would if it’s the last one specially desperately to get one.
no. its all about condition condition condition!
That is the truth!!!
Yesss; it's worth even more than that ($300)
Good videos
I have a 1990 lincoln cent that looks to have a d over an s anybody seen that?
1990 lincoln cent with a d over an s. Has anyone seen one? I can't find anything about it. I found one.
Yes
thanks
I found a few interesting varieties in my latest video I'm editing now, my first hunt of 2018, a box of dimes. Only my 2nd ever box of dimes.
when its uploaded put a link to it here. Id love to check it out and im sure others would too!
Coin Opp will do. Most notable was a 1968D dime that appears to be on a proof planchette.
Coin Opp here it is, finally uploaded, the only ones I think may be errors are the 68D and the 92P DDR I found. ua-cam.com/video/M2tVZwOttcU/v-deo.html
2015 has a lot of the same style of error though so it could also be an error.
That 1955 DDO is torture to look at.
i got 1992 D penny for sal
JUST LIKE WHAT YOU SAID IN 1992 D PENNY
How do I email you of a very rare find penny. This penny is one of kind. With 3 diff MINT stamped over each other. It has the D the S and P MINT Mark. With shadows of additional MINT MARKS above date. Penny has over 15 errors on front and back.
mary love
I think so just cause it's rare!
I have a 2001 the AME are touching together
I am going through jars of pennies and have come across a few 1995 close AM, is there such a thing or were they all like that?? I don't think the cut coin is worth the money!! The 1922 penny is now at 43 bids and $200.00, not bad!!
Yes i would
I would if it’s the last one.specially desperately to get one no matter what.
On the 1992 close am the 1992 isn't faintly doubled?
I need help on this one if anyone has any information. I been looking for two days on internet can't find any coins even close to it. It's a. 1986D penny.

Graceful one thank you for your reply...I have "found" what I am looking for...I love coin hunting, but it is the connection with people, personal experiences, & learning from others that give life meaning. It is not monitary value that we should seek. May you be blessed always 😀💛💕💗
I have 1981
Like the one on picture
I would buy it just because of the history and bragging rights of the ownership
I would.
I think I found one of this !
Although I I can't seem to find a 1955 DDO. ugh been searching for about 3 years now and none to be found I guess 😫😫😥😥
Personally it's too bad what happened to that coin. I wouldn't pay $300 for it, myself. I'll keep searching for it. :=)
I agree with you. I know some day i will find one!! So I would keep searching for it myself.

Hi I have one 1992 D close AM DD ON DATE AND GOD WE TRUST
I wouldnt pay for the damaged coin, instead I'd save the 300 and continue saving until i could get a 55 like the one robert lawson just auctioned
Hi, I want to ask about a penny I found with multiple errors on it. 2017 D, has a partial dime on reverse, has a double strike on obverse, has liberty upside down and backward, has an extra layer of metal that looks like laminent. Many errors on a good condition coin. I was offered 25$ for it but feel I can get much more. I would love someone else's opinion by someone with knowledge. Thanks
If that legit the man will offer more than 25$
I have a dime stamped on a 1 cent planchet what can you tell me
No way I wouldn’t pay 300 dollars for that kind of damage but maybe a cleaned one
My name is Dustin!
How do I sell my coins?
