    Just heard of this technique this is amazing my question is is what color paint do you use with your salt wash paint like if I want it blue green yellow pink colors how do I save those colors thank you so much

    good video. I was wondering....you used chalkboard paint for both layers. is it necessary to be consistent with paint on both layers?

      Hi Linda, We did use Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan for both layers because it's requires no sanding or priming to stick to most surfaces and it's a great paint for distressing as it sands easily when it's fresh. I think you can mix and match your paints especially if they are all water-based they, depending on the paint you select for your base layer you might need to do a little prep work (sand, prime etc.) Thanks for watching!

    If you painted that with any paint and sanded it it would look like that. Waste
    of money.

      No offense, but you would NOT get that amount of texture.
