Nice Akra slip on and does a cat delete,now the bike churns out 1 bhp less than mine did bone stock. I`m loving my stock 2016. Bought it july 9 and had the ECU flashed July 28 to get rid of the snatchy throttle. Gained 5 bhp/6 nm. Was putting out 140 hp/103 nm at the wheel,now it`s 145,6 hp/109nm. And the snatchy throlle is 95% cured.All good

I have the exact same bike and the throttle is super snatchy. Mine has the stock exhaust with the cat cut out and rewelded together which im sure doesn't matter. Id like to send mine in as well.
i have this exact same set up and i'm sending my ECU in soon. I cut off the muffler box and cut 1/2 cats off and left the valve on as well. custom mid pipe and akropovic slip on
if you ever get anyone that head swaps to get more power, definitely do a video i'd love to know more about how you can get a bit more out of these bikes

I got one just like it but the silver one. It has a ton of work done to it. I got a exhaust just like his to made from 21/2 inch automotive pipe. I painted it black looks good. I also got a PC5 a KN air filter, and tons of appearance mods. Swapped my tires to pirreli’s! And I don’t want mine to come full power all at once be to Much off the line it would isn’t smoke the tire or wheelie. Mine has been tuned but I have no idea what the settings are or anything. Dealer installed it before I got the bike! But it has a sticker on it says it’s been tuned that’s how I know and the guy I got it from told me about it. He said my bike made 150.3hp and 90 ft. Lbs of torque! And that feels about right it’s super quick!
@@dtbrown1978 Its between this and a Z900 for me. The Z gets better gas mileage. But i really like the 1000f's wind protection and that intake honk is like black magic.
@@westondifranco9313 z900 is a great bike. Having a z1000 for 6 years I'd say any amount off wind protection is a plus on a naked bike. Can't go wrong with either one.

Hey Chris Moore! Do it again with gsxr1000 to hit 7.999 from 8.07 in quarter mile.... fuel and cam degrees tuning in launch rpm area seek out for maximum torque and power! Example: you rev it @ 4k ram then launch at 10k rpm then it will go down to about 7k then went to rpm limiter and shift.... go tune at that 3 areas. 4k, 10k, 7k rpm to make maximum torqueand hp to this areas. Will drop .071 second. This is my idea to be given to you and you set it record and thank for your own story and not me lol. It's wouldn't belong to me cuz it's gift to you.
I love watching your videos and I hate to mess up your UA-cam statistics but your intro is very long and I often times skip it. Love the dramatic beats but it can be shortened by at least half . . . Just a thought.
Hey Chris if you have a flash and tune and still have a servo buddy connected, does it effect the performance of the bike. Do we need to mention we have block off plates when getting the ecu flashed?

Long story short I forgot to mention it when you guys flashed mine. Still getting great results and the bike is moving but just wanted to get the max effort out the flash. @@bellydavezx10r48I don't expect anyone on here to believe me but ALL bikes that are properly tuned have (NEED) the "PAIR blocked off while tuning" (simply clamp off the pair hose while tuning) so them saying it makes a difference if you (anyone) do or don't have yours blocked off "makes no sense"...

I've got the 2016 with a full M4 system and when I did my ECU the bike turned into a beast ...never had her on a dyno so I don't know what she's putting out but I expected to see more gains than this. I've seen others with my exact same set up get 152HP and 158HP. I guess different dynos can vary in results too. I think the cat delete cuts around 15-20lbs too...that's a lot for a bike.
I love my GSXS. But 140 to 145 is only a 3.5% power gain, with some weight loss on the Cat delete. I would rather keep the Cat and save the environment. The other tuning options like opening the throttle sound good, but the 50% throttle cut is designed to protect the engine near redline... i hit it all the time and prefer it over banging the rev limiter just my 2 cents.
The throttle cut is *only in 6th gear* (starting above 10,800 rpm) and your saying you hit it all the time??? And JFYI, ALL of the bikes made in the last 20+ years are designed to run up top for years with no ill effects...
@@blackbutmild1 The motor in the GSXS is based on a 2005 GSX-R1000. It doesn't rev has high and is tuned to make torque earlier in the rev range than the GSX-R.
Different cams,heads then the 05 fact it's based on. Never going to see big power up top but builds quickly like a Honda. 1/8 mi it's just a nose behind new gsxr.

You have had it for 4 years and still havent.....I only put like 2k miles before intake,tune and full exhaust it's worth every penny

The engine is basically a K5 - K8 engine that's detuned... No need to swap the head, just Port & Polish and add aggressive Cams.

No need for servo buddy. It won't help or hurt.
If you have pair block off plates you do need to let me know when we do the flash.

That's right, lower compression ratios, RPMs etc. Probably the same engine block but better quality components in the GSXR (titanium valves/rods etc).
