15 years ago hen I was in middle school I had a detention and got my friends mp3 player to listen to and I heard Them Speed for the first time and been my favorite bend ever since
Listening to this, I am reminded of my son’s birth. When I was so overwhelmed with emotion all I could do was cry tears of joy. Coheed makes me feel that same way. Same thing happened for me when my first son was born. I went out into the hallway to and my little brother was pacing up and down the hall and as soon as he asked "is he born yet?" Saw these guys live again at The Armory in Minneapolis. Now, every time I walk past it, I catch myself smiling months after. Coheed is an otherworldly experience that sticks with you no matter where you are in life
love how i managed to spot myself a few times but i was always just a blurry blob in the background of those shots over Josh's shoulder or with my back turned to the camera in the VIP meet and greet queue, half covered by one of the lovely American folks I met in the queue in Cologne (if you're reading this, hi from the blonde girl that hung out with you during the whole show, it was great to meet you three!)
The beginning of this is from the road and the damned. They've been dropping musical hints that the stories are intertwined the whole time, only to reveal it at the end of this album with the return of the prise! Even in vaxis 1, there are several hidden motifs. These guys are fucking amazing

My favorite story about Coheed and Cambria is how Claudio and his now wife Chaundra had separated and dude wrote a WHOLE ALBUM (The Color Before the Sun) all about it and one song he played and surprised her..now you’ll see her in almost every music video

This is hands down my favorite band. I have listened to this album every day since in dropped. And Finally after listening to them since 2006 I’m finally going to my first concert for them in may. I so excited!
As a 52 year-old drummer/singer, I find that this band encompasses and evokes all manner of melody and rhythm, to the point that it makes me emotional listening to most of their masterpieces! I have a lot of prog, jazz/rock, and hard rock influences, but Claudio just seems to have an inane sense of melody, harmony, and intellectual architecture when composing these pieces...not to mention the many interesting and friendly COTF I have met along this musical journey!
I will and always have loved you Coheed and Cambria. Meeting you guys back after the Chicago Good Apollo I’m Burning Star IV concert in 2005 is one of my favorite memories. Claudio, you have the best hair, vocal range and storytelling abilities of anyone out there.
